@StevieM I honestly don’t care about the legalese of it all. Kristina had no interest in having a baby beforehand and was only doing it so her sister could have one. Changing your mind last minute and wanting to keep the baby for yourself was a shitty selfish thing to do and being so reckless you end up flying out of a window and causing the baby to die is even worse. Her whole “my my my” spiel was just more disrespect to the two people who trusted her with all of their hopes for starting a family that her own actions killed.

I thought the opening scene with Kristina dreaming of holding the adorable baby then waking up and sobbing was pretty good. She lost my sympathy with the “my baby” convo with Alexis after though. It was Molly and TJ’s child and the only reason the baby is dead is because you ran your behind to Ava’s hotel room. I did like her asking Sonny to take care of Ava at the end though, let her embrace her inner Cassadine and Corinthos. Ava, Ava, Ava. I was wondering what her next move could possibly be and holding the identity of who really was after Sonny is a decent play I guess…even though I’m pretty sure she doesn't know it was Pikeman for real. I still like her and Jagger teaming up. I enjoy having the Sonny/Carly/Jason threesome back on good terms but I am kind of sad to see Jason back to being Sonny’s errand boy as soon as he’s free from the FBI. Feels like they just went right back to default instead of exploring something different with him. Scott was his usual slimey lawyer self today and I just don’t care for Heather or this hip story or how Portia is seemingly going under the bus for it. I did like that Trina finally got to say her peace to Heather. So far this “rebooted” writing team has brought some energy back to the show and I do like how characters careers are actually being utilized (Felicia as patient advocate being todays good example). For now I’m more willing to stick around as a viewer than I thought I would be.

I got Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson’s podcast playing in the background and was surprised to hear they filmed scenes this week that should be airing next Wednesday. I know Eastenders in the UK films stuff real close to airdate sometimes but I didn’t realize GH does that occasionally as well.

I want to know from Patrick what stipulations were given as far as episode guarantees and why stories disappeared on screen for weeks just as they started building momentum, Pikeman being the biggest example. We got so many episodes ending on lackluster scenes instead of satisfying cliffhangers too, was that an editing room choice or were they scripted that way? I need the answers lol it’ll tell me if Frank played the troll game or Mulcahey and Korte just weren’t smart.

I can’t wait to get the full info on what happened with Mulcahey behind the scenes. The fact Frank reinstated his boy and gloated to the press about it says a lot. Let’s see if they can turn the ratings around.

Poor Molly and TJ. KV killed it in the Molly and Ava confrontation and TB did great with TJ’s breakdowns over packing the nursery and baby clothes. I’m glad we got to see his family grieve and support him, the scenes with Stella comforting TJ and Jordan breaking down to Curtis were good. Glad Trina is finally showing loyalty to Ava after running her mouth to Joss and Gio. Enjoyed finally having Portia and Trina scenes as well though yuck at Heather being otw tomorrow. Sonny’s scenes with Kevin and Jason were nice and lmaoo at the placebo reveal being because of Donna having to get her stomach pumped from chugging the bottle of sugar pills. They are ready to wrap this whole story up. I don’t need to see a Joss and Dex love scene ever again man. Enough.

The Morgan part of that story idea is the only piece I would have kept

I will say they certainly got my attention with this, I’ll be tuning in to see just how much of a mess this recast is.

Kate Mansi and KV were great in that last scene, they’ve really done good work with this story. NLG was okay too and I thought TJ’s actor did a decent job with his scene with Jordan, I don’t get the hate for him. I’m glad we got to see Sam involved as well because her absence was glaring yesterday. The subtle touch on her losing baby Lila was nice but I think they could have played more beats there. Why couldn’t we get her and Jason in a scene together acknowledging that? Korte’s obvious bias against JaSam and Liason needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Nobody at the hotel informed Carly about what happened? Joss just let Dex screw her to sleep instead of telling her mom? All of that rang very false. I did think the scene with Carly and Donna was sweet but I’m still confused on why this child even exists. Ava moving the bag is really dumb writing and clearly just an excuse to get her in more trouble. I did laugh at Anna showing her the photo receipts and locking her up. Also still dig the Anna and Jason partnership and wish they’d move him into the WSB/police world now that this FBI informant plot is over. Sonny’s scenes on the roof hallucinating Morgan were okay, I don’t care for that actor and would rather have seen Morgan recast and alive. Sonny going to Kevin for help at the end was the part that got me interested, that was a good story turn. Its a very tricky situation. I always think back to Kristoff St John and how Y&R dropping him to recurring lead to a spiral. Based on the podcast Maurice seems to place so much of his own personal value in being Sonny and being the big star. Hearing him say how devastated he was just from the idea of temp recasting the role while he was dealing with his mental issues made me honestly nervous. In another livestream he admitted he thinks this is the only gig he’d be able to keep where they’d be willing to deal with his mental health problems and it made me feel bad for him. All of that said, looking at the recent ratings numbers and seeing him leading the episode counts with a mostly, and I hate to say it, lackluster performance with this current story, I’d be doing some serious recalculation of Sonny’s role on the canvas. The thing is how do you do that sensitively to MB’s mental health? Sonny’s storylines going forward will be interesting to see.

They gagged me with this lol. Love Budig but this feels like a huge miscasting. KA was so great in the role I still don’t understand her exit. If Brad wanted an AMC vet so badly Alicia Minshew would have been a better choice look wise and for chemistry with TK. I’m willing to tune in and see how this goes but I bet she’s backburned and gone in a years time.

Rylan grew on me as Lizzie once they paired her with Jonathan but I could not stomach her Abby on YR and every time I’d try to watch GH again her casting as Lulu left me absolutely baffled. Whoever they cast hopefully pulls energy from JMB’s version.

I was hoping she’d be back with the new writer regime. Just need a Bo and Hope return and I’m all the way happy

I miss Farah’s drama lmao and imagine her and K Storms playing bffs again, I’d live. Alexa Havins would be amazing though I loved Babe. Haven’t seen her in anything since Torchwood.

Thank God it won’t be Emme Rylan again. I still want Leven Rambin, Marci Miller or Stephanie Gatschet. Even Farah Fath if Frank is pulling from his OLTL bag.

I’m starting to think Frank just used this as a way to get Kate Mansi in the role lol, I’m pretty sure the surrogacy and endometriosis plot was what they pitched her to sign on. I’m curious what her reaction to this ending is.

Kristen V and Kate Mansi were great today. I was kind of surprised they ended up killing the baby but it gave us some good emotional scenes. Poor Molly and TJ man. Loved Molly going off on Sonny and how they used the flashbacks of everybody turning on him to get him on the GH roof ready to end it all. Hopefully tomorrow is a good performance from MB. I thought Natalia and Blaze’s scenes were good but I don’t think the audience will be willing to give Natalia another chance no matter how much the writers try to explain her changing viewpoint I don’t understand why Ava lied and moved the evidence, it just put her in a worse position. I like the idea of Trina being in this dilemma of loyalty but all of her gossiping with Joss kind of lessened my belief in the strength of that relationship.

I need Frankie V to stop running from the real grind. Brenda coming back to pick up the pieces for Sonny once all this placebo med drama finishes pretty much writes itself

Is that source reliable? I’ve never seen that outlet before. I do love seeing Guza’s name potentially in the writers room. He’s been part of several soap launches and he knows how to do big splash stories which The Gates will need from the jump. I also think its good to be in ATL instead of LA for production. They’ll be able to get a good studio space and nice tax breaks. Seeing Julie Hanan Carruthers name again made me wince though. Her PC and AMC runs lacked real distinction production wise other than the fact PC had 13 week arcs and AMC had that ugly shaky film look for minute. To stand out this show needs to visually be more modern and grand than the other soaps.

I love Debbie’s mom 😂 she grabbed the baton from Bianca exposing that lying murdering nut Reiss. She came in and got right to business uncovering his lies, hope she sends that sicko to jail. I have no sympathy for Sonia either she has knowingly stood by and assisted his lies and fraud behavior and deserves whatever mess is coming her way. The Panesar’s are mostly boring per usual but Vinny trying to be mini Nish is kind of hilarious. I do enjoy Priya curious how her moving in with Martin and Zack goes. Poor Chelsea dealing with Penny. This is the most interesting Jack’s oldest kid has been since her arrival but I still don’t like her and this is only solidifying that. I need Chelsea to stand up for herself more this all reminds me of when Stacy used to slag her off all the time back in the days of their feuding when the og actress was still in the role.

Carly acting a fool in the Metro Court lobby is the greatest way to give respect to Laura Wright for her 3000th episode. 😂 Shout out to the writing team for that one

I loved Carly finally letting loose on Jagger lol, that’s my girl and Sonny, Diane, Joss and Gio watching in joy til she got those cuffs put on was hilarious. Curious how the hell she gets out of this Again I enjoy Ava and Jagger together, her giggling at herself for shacking up with an FBI agent and always keeping things entertaining was funny, MW is a treasure. Those Danny and Jason scenes were great. Danny’s actor has shown real improvement and potential the more he’s onscreen. I’m team Molly and TJ when it comes to Kristina and I’m glad they’re about to put paperwork on her. I agree with @carolineg on KV as well she has really elevated Molly into adulthood. I’m glad they’re still playing Willow and Drew being ready to smash each other. Michael is such a doofus and I hate their son’s name btw I wish they’d change it. I could’ve done without Sasha and Violet and lol at Brennan disappearing without a trace. This has been a solid week IMO
