The best way i can sum up my position is based on a tweet I saw but can't find. "You can tell the people who are just now realizing Roe is gone as opposed to those of us who knew it was gone back in 2016 when Hillary lost." All of these people "disappointed" in Biden and asking for a plan aren't prepared to handle the truth which is there is no quick fix. This will take decades of work to fix and we're here because people didn't listen to the email lady. People screaming at Biden are just Karens calling the manager but the manager can't fix this.

I happen to be grateful for it. By drawing a line between the far left and "the mainstream of the Democratic Party" we get permission to push these leftists back to the fringe. A lot of people, including mainstream voters, are tired of the performative left especially since all they ever seem to do is screw everything up.

I'm just so damn angry. I have worked in repro rights my whole life. It was my first form of activism. I helped found my college's first "Students for Choice" group. I worked for NARAL and I'm a sustaining donor to Planned Parenthood. I've paid for abortions for friends and strangers. Now I get to watch all of that work and progress pissed away in my lifetime because people fell for con artists and podcasters telling them that free college was more important than bodily autonomy and civil rights. This should be the end of the dirtbag left. Every narrative they've ever spun about electoral politics has been wrong and they brought us here.

I have no doubt that something is wrong with Feinstein and that some succession planning should've started quite a while. But there's no good to come from trying to drive her out of office. She's not hurting anyone. Targeting her is just the standard tactic by the left to purge and purify the Democratic party. It's never about building the coalition but always about making it smaller and more extreme. Maybe is just my Black Gen-X upbringing but going after elders just for being elders doesn't sit well with me. I mean folks here know how much I despise Bernie Sander but even I don't go after him based on his age.

I've noticed that the League of Problematic White Women goes after Feinstein rather regularly. These leftists are obsessed with purging people from the party. It's literally the only thing that matters to them. Trans kids are basically being hunted for sport and we have daily mass shootings but they're more interested in capping all over lifelong public servants.

The PA race is now a study in what happens when the extremist wings of both parties get what they want. No matter what the people of Pennsylvania end up with a garbage senator. Fetterman's only value is in helping us hold the majority. I said I would check out on this race once Fetterman won the nomination but it's hard to look away from this trainwreck.

The NRA isn't banning the guns. The Secret Service is. If Trump is speaking then this all falls onto the Secret Service. Also, insurance for the venue probably requires it.

Another mass shooting and somehow it's all about what Democrats need to do. I'm so tired of this.

I don't believe that's a forgone conclusion. A lot can change between now and the election.

The people demanding we nuke the filibuster will be the first one to blame Democrats for getting rid of the filibuster when Republicans are back in power and there's nothing we can do to stop them.

Honestly if homophobia took him down then great. That's the world he wants to inflict on innocent LGBTQ+ people. He reminds me of a bomb maker who accidentally blew off his own arm.

It kind of makes you wonder what other kind of stories exist. I'm guessing that Lindsey Graham has a lot to be afraid of.

I know how crass this sounds but... ...the reality is that being an reproductive rights sanctuary state will be good for the bottom line. Abortion is good for business on a lot of levels. That's an economic truth that people don't want to discuss.

I couldn't be happier. It was so bizarre to see people online acting like Turner had a chance. You wouldn't have even known she was running until the last two weeks before. No ads, no mailers, no real outreach other than some texts. Then two weeks ago she dropped a bunch of really janky attack ads aimed at people too stupid to know how anything works. Nina Turner is truly one of the most inept campaigners I've ever witnessed. I knew she would lose but by 30 points?! That was glorious! Even better is how the loss just made her spin off into further craziness.

More on the race for OH-11. Shontel Brown is blanketing the airwaves with ads. This is the one running on TV right now. She stays laser focused on the district. Her mention of the bridge on MLK is a pain point that is front and center for east side commuters. https://www.cleveland.com/galleries/2VA7J4LBF5BSTDWVXHRBM75I3I/ See also: the mention of lead pipes. That's a priority in this district. It's a perfect example of how "all politics is local."

This is my district and all I can say is that Turner is coming out the gate with REALLY bad strategy. Trying to use Sherrod Brown against any Ohio Dem is a bad idea but it's especially bad for someone running to become the rep for where he lives. Also, highlighting confusion in name recognition between the two S. Browns only helps Shontel.

I'm with you. People need to stop thinking that one thing will create a quick backlash for one election. Young women took their reproductive rights for granted and they will be paying for that for years.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Keith Hamilton Cobb is bringing his play "American Moor" to Cleveland's Karamu House next month. https://www.karamuhouse.org/events/keith-hamilton-cobb-american-moor I'll be honest, I'm not ready for in-person theater yet but depending on where things are with the virus I might just give this a shot. Disclaimer: I'm a Karamu House donor and have been for years. I love this organization so I want everyone reading this to give them money. Give them money right now. 😀

It's kind of funny to see all the "What if it was a white comedian? or "What if it was a woman?" We don't need to come up with alternate scenarios. This was a very specific situation. These are people who have had a beef for years. You know what Chris Rock is never going to do again? Talk mess about Jada. I do wish these event hosts stopped looking at these gigs like they are supposed to be a Comedy Central roast. It's one of the many reasons I've stopped watching awards shows.
