  1. It's amazing how Claybon is still terrible but also improving.
  2. Okay, dialogue in this show is sort of wack at times. The worst thing I've heard all week is that Tomas and Kat scene. Like what?! Were they just drunk when they wrote that? And then the Diego and Vanessa scene. These people have no idea what a sexy scene is. It's less talk. Also, Kat isn't exactly Donna Martin in holding out. She's already thinking about it?
  3. We need more shows for people to perform on:
  4. Now this hurts DAYS. One of their strongest points was always that the good breakdown and scriptwriters could turn whatever nonsense the headwriter was on about into a decent episode. Maybe Quan should've been made headwriter - or maybe not. It's General Hospital's gain for sure.
  5. They'll have at least one more single out after this before the album, which they're threatening to release. They're also back to being independent again because they didn't like the way BMG handled When the Rain Comes 😅
  6. Well, yes - I think they should've given more thought about a lot of the establishing shots. There are some that's ok, but a lot of them are plainly confusing. Establishing shots are meant to make you feel like you're in a familiar place and put you there - since I'm having the Wednesday episode on, I can point out one that just confused me: Paulina's apartment. At first I thought Johnny had traveled overseas, but nope, it's meant to be in Salem. Add that a lot of the shots just seems to represent a major city, not the midwestern town Salem has always been told to be. Again, I don't mind in theory using these AI-generated establishing shots, but they really need to think more about what they're meant to represent and what familiar place they're meant to place the viewer in.
  7. I really wish for Gabi to keep pressing Javi on why the hell he's so into Leo. I was so disappointed when she gave into it - go out and kick Leo's ass to the curb Gabi!!!
  8. I'm alone in this, but I don't mind having establishing shots though I do wonder what prompts they used to generate them - plus some consistency would help. I'm watching Monday's episode and Rafe's house is in full on spring/summer mode, but just the other week everything was heavy with snow 😅 I think it's fine that they're playing with new technology to help the show along, but they just need to put a bit more thought in it, especially where the show is located. Right now it just seems like random words into an AI prompt.
  9. God, this reminds me of a comment I once saw where someone claimed they were glad Mother Teresa was dead because her fashion was dreadful and boring.
  10. Yeah, I think they want this to be a more... nuanced. Not necessarily that Ted is an awful person, but also that Silkpress isn't entirely in the wrong. I suspect they felt like he might've either played it too one-sided (ie Silkpress Sheila is in the wrong, Ted is a honest nice man) OR that he just ends up playing it like two different characters. I suspect he might've not found that balance - I guess we've still got eight more weeks to judge him on, so we'll see. He wasn't the first person I'd choose to recast at this moment, but I do think the green newbies are improving and clearly Ted's storyline is front-and-center right now, so that might've made them more inclined to recast.
  11. Pilot order: https://deadline.com/2025/03/a-different-world-sequel-pilot-netflix-1236353547/
  12. I don't think Corday would ever sell, but it'd be nice if they could get Sony out of the picture.
  13. It's obvious that they want Ted to be "complex" and not entirely in the right with how he treated Silkpress Sheila, but also not necessarily a bad guy against Nicole and their marriage (as they were going through troubles). I think they might've thought Maurice played it too black and white and seemed like two different characters depending on who he played against. But I haven't watched this weeks episodes of BtG so my hunch might be wrong.
  14. Well, that was a short run for Drucker. I don't see much changes taking place under Maxam, but maybe he'll surprise us.
  15. Catching up now and how random they randomly mentioned Kate being with Cassie in Chicago last week. I wouldn't mind if they dusted off Alexis Thorpe as I always liked her - it does feel like there's more men to pair her with in Salem at this point.
  16. It's a shame Drake isn't with us anymore, because I'd love more scenes between him and Charity
  17. Meanwhile, I'm still writing angry letters to DAYS, demanding for them to rehire Charity Rahmer. One day, they'll listen. Maybe I need to get on Change Dot Org...
  18. To be fair, I think that's because Austin is reliable, never let her down and probably the most stable of her kids. I still say she favours Lucas for obvious reasons.
  19. Ooof. He went from being surprisingly gracious to... this.
  20. Honestly, I'm really wondering if they actually did go back and clean up a bit - or just held Ron on a very short leash. Because some scenes are really like night and day at this point. It's hard to imagine it came from the same writer.
  21. I wouldn't really pay too much attention to their press releases. Yes, it's nice if they can be number one in their time slot, but ultimately networks tend to look at their entire line up and how to improve that. That's why we heard about those changes at GMA3 the other week rather than them trying to revamp General Hospital. @DRW50 is right in that sense. ABC's biggest concern for now is GMA3, especially since that show has zero afterlife in streaming (which, while not highly profitable at the moment, is the market that'll grow). Winning the time slot would be nice, but ultimately, they can still sell ad at higher rates than they can for GMA3.
  22. Bad week for B&B and BtG.
  23. It hadn't. I thought that the last conversation Vernon and Martin had about it at Nicole's award ceremony kind of established that he knew what it was, but not that it happened when he was in Congress. The easiest guess at hand is that he was involved with whatever happened to Silkpress Sheila's husband/partner, which of course means he's at fault for her coming back into Ted's life...
