  1. Okay, why are Paulina and Abe sleeping like that?! I'd take a screen grab if I wasn't lazy, but come on.
  2. Per Flixpatrol, it's been at 4-4-5 (June 3rd to 5th). https://flixpatrol.com/title/days-of-our-lives/
  3. To be honest, moving Murder, She Wrote to Thursdays probably did seem like a good attempt at counterprogramming (they did the same thing with some success with Diagnosis: Murder the next season). They had hoped it would appeal to a different audience to the Friends juggernaut and wouldn't crash in the way it did. They also programmed Mary Tyler Moore's new show after it, so they clearly went with a "vibe" for the evening. With that said, I think MSW just have that end of the weekend vibe. Something you'd cosy up on Sunday evening while preparing for a new dreaded week.
  4. She had two Hannah Swensen movies and a Christmas movie released since this was recorded in September (?). So yeah, I'd assume Alison was just booked and busy when these episodes were recorded sadly.
  5. So, Barbara is Florence Ballard, Sharon is Mary Wilson, Anita is Diana Ross and I guess Tracy is Cindy Birdsong? Though I guess Supremes technically was a quartet at first, before Barbara Martin left. I wonder if this will lead to Anita having a hand in releasing some of Barbara's recordings like how Florence Ballard's career got re-assessed in the early 2000s. Though... could Barbara have any vengeful children hanging around?
  6. Since they've said Sami and Sidney are on their way, I wonder if there's any chance we'll see Sidney this time around?
  7. I guess RTPP looked worse because it followed Another World, but it's a shame they didn't give it more time especially considering how the shows that were put on following it fared.
  8. It's a shame she only appeared in three episodes for the purpose of being written out - I thought she was quite good in the little we saw. I liked her vibe better than Durkin that never seemed to quite capture Victoria as a character.
  9. He did a lot of romance novel covers, so that might've just been enough for them to get their panties in a twist.
  10. I'd assume he was all over the show helping to set things up, but likely didn't dictate as much as showing them the ropes and giving inputs on things like long-term story projections. I never assumed he'd stay on for long as it's not his passion project and he's at an age where he could retire.
  11. To be fair, I don't think she was written out as much as not being written for as they had to gear up for the final episode. I'd assume they might've had the option to use her again but they just didn't find the space.
  12. I really hope it's just a front. I need The Evil Seed back.
  13. I think they were always going to dump LIAMST and SS with that scheduling, but pushing the latter to 4PM (and separating it from the soap block) just made it easier to justify later replacing it with Tattletales. Saved them from cancelling two at the same time + launch a hour and a half of game shows.
  14. I tend to give new actors on soaps - especially on DAYS and its bizarre production model - a lot of slack for the first few months. Elia Cantu is a good example of someone who was very shaky in the beginning, but really grew into the role and is now someone I hope they integrate more long-term into the cast (which is why I'm hoping the baby's Shawn's lol). But Peyton's not improved at all and yeah, he needs to be gone and the role recast if they want to make it work.
  15. Seriously - I like Doug III as a character in theory, but dude has been entirely flat in his acting so far. I kind of hope they'll just rest the character for about two months and then have him turn up with a new face.
  16. I doubt they're going to give Bill Parkinson's considering that it would be something he would have to live with and gradually decline. It'll likely be something they can sweep under the rug eventually (though it wouldn't surprise me if they pull the misdiagnosis trick between then).
  17. "Death by Demographics" certainly is very pointed.
  18. It was sort of an interesting idea, but I think too many viewers would've been confused with it airing an half hour once a week. It seems quite random when everything else was airing Mon-Fri in the late night line-up.
  19. Yeah but what will happen to Gilberta
  20. Let's be real - no one is interested in a "diverse" reboot. It's a WASP show through and through. Just do it cheaply on a budget and put it on Great American Family.
  21. I have a new storyline for the "diverse" 7th Heaven reboot! The WASP family has a foster child called Gilberta. She's an AA kid whose mother is addicted to crack marijuana! The devil's seed! Either way, she's been integrated into this WASP family and shock/horror, Marijuana Mommy comes back! What will happen? Well, I will tell you - first it seems like Marijuana Mommy has her [!@#$%^&*] together and she gets her kid back! The WASPs are sad. Then it turns out that Marijuana Mommy is still on the dope and selling tricks talking to strange men on the corner! Plus, foster child (Gilberta) talks about how much she loves the WASPs. The episode ends in tears with Gilberta back with the WASPs! Also, Marijuana Mommy goes away, acknowledging how much better parents the WASPs are. The end. Why haven't The Great American Family hired me yet? I can feel the audience will watch this and cry a lot of tears.
  22. TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
  23. You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.
  24. It's been pretty well-known since that that BBG was offered a similar deal as Ken Howard (ie 4-6 episodes) and she told them to fudge off. With Jane Wyman, I don't doubt they were willing not to hold her to her contract, but in those early episodes where she appears, she's written sitting down or in a bed for a reason. Her health genuinely seemed in decline.
  25. I mean, soaps are a world were 5'2" Eva Longoria can be a runway model...
