Rumors of Storylines/Casting/BTS
Around the time of the Patty references on Y&R, SOD published a blind item about a show planning a return of a past character, but hinted that the actor involved had gained a lot of weight, so it was dropped. I can't recall the exact wording. SOD also stated at one time that Anna Dimera's younger sister Lily Fredericks was slated to appear.

Will & Grace Revival
The time has come both creatively and ratings wise to call it a day. The Will being a dad story is horrible. These days it would be more risky and interesting for Will not to want to become a father. And Grace's continual involvements with unappealing guys....

The Doctors Discussion Thread
We are now at the beginning of the Carolee kidnap story. Only a few years ago Carolee was stuck in the sanitarium as a jealous Ann went after Steve. Now a jealous Doreen arranges for Carolee to be stashed away. Why this story was done is a mystery. To have Carolee victimized again is ridiculous, particularly when Jada Rowland presented such a strong sensible character.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
i believe ATWT had 2 runs on Oz TV in the 70's on the 9 and 10 networks. The Nine network was home of US soaps with DOOL as the centerpiece. I believe ATWT had a late morning slot and ran no longer than a year. Later the 10 network tried ATWT in competition at midday opposite 9's popular talk/variety show but it lasted only a few months. This is all from memory but I'll do some research to find out more. Found a listing from Fri 28 Feb 1975 9 Network 12 pm DOOL 12.30 Y&R 1pm ATWT 1.30 No Man's Land (local 'womens issues') 2pm GH 2.30 AW 3pm SFT So Aussies were well served for US soaps By Sept 75 10 am AW 12pm DOOL 1pm Y&R 1.30 No Mans Land 2pm GH 2.30 SFT 3pm Dinah So the expansion of AW and DOOL bumped ATWT off the schedule, so it musn't have been too popular

As The World Turns Full Episode List
The episodes of 22, 23 and 26 October 1959 depicted the wedding of Penny Hughes and Jeff Baker. This was reported in a California newspaper and goes against other reports that Penny and Jeff married Xmas Eve.Perhaps their first marriage, which was annulled, was on Xmas Eve. Hope someone can clarify.

Ratings from the 80's
Hitting #3 was quite an achievement for Days as it didn't get any help from surrounding shows. AW never really got any bump when Days's ratings went up. I wonder if SB had followed Days it would have done better. It seemed more compatible in style. And AW @3 would be returning it to it's traditional timeslot. NBC should really have tried this.

Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
Found interesting radio roles for John Larkin and Mary Patton For Thanksgiving 1946 P&G aired special crossover episodes on 4 NBC soaps that aired 3-4pm. It was a fantasy theme where an embittered serviceman visited the 4 shows and met characters who showed him friendliness and meaning to his life. Pepper Young's Family/Life Can Be Beautiful/Ma Perkins/Right To Happiness Joe Green... John Larkin Mary Patton - Polly

Sam and Lahoma had a daughter. I envisaged a widowed Sam returning and leaving her with Ada while he went to work in Saudi arabia or some other far flung place leaving Ada to be surrogate mom to this girl.

Another World Discussion Thread
I think that's right. Really Dennis should have been a priority character, not an afterthought. He was in the right age group, related and linked to the Cory's etc.

Another World Discussion Thread
The character of Ted was such a minor one in AW history. Obviously with Brian still around, somebody thought of Ted. Yet all those years went by before anybody thought Dennis might be worth reviving.
