  4. No need to apologize. Really enkoy reading pposters' perspectives. The thing about Loving's ongoing changes is that it allows us to see how BTS shakeups affect onscreen happenings. More stable shows are less interesting in that respect.
  5. Gotta mention Deborah here as she played out the original Jill/John story - intro of the Abbotts and carried Jill successfully in that direction. Even the glimpse we have seen of Bond impressed me - testament to the character of Jill that the recasts over almost 50 years have kept her alive.
  6. Peggy's son Johnny could have been aged and taken the place of Kelly, who was a retconned character (Ed's godson?) Fran's Peggy could be living out of town and Johnny would naturally stay with the Bauers, who raised Peggy. Peggy could visit from time to time. When did Fran start writing soaps?
  7. Billboard 1946 For first time on any daytime serial, background mood music accompanies the emoting, in the dramatization of Rosemary, CBS daily seg. Director Leslie Harris uses music not only to denote change of theme but also to punctuate and set the mood
  8. Re Vera Allen Her Aunt Jenny role ran July - Sept 1941 Re Lesley Woods Add David Harum 1941 re Don McLaughlin and Roger DeKoven Add The O'Neills 1941
  9. Re Ruth Mc Devitt Add This Life Is Mine - Mrs. Paddington
  10. Another radio role for Santos Ortega Woman of America 1943
  11. Re Jack Armstrong B.D. thomas - Eden (Playboy Channel soap ) 92-93
  12. I remember when Deborah returned. I had always loved her take on Jill and here she was in the middle of the divorce interpreting the script as the Jill she knew, so we went from BD's Norma Desmond to DA's more grounded performance. My recollection is of her in Jill's hotel suite set wearing pants and a blouse, way more subdued than Brenda's costumes.
  13. Tough gig to sub for La Cooper. i remember Patience Cleveland who presented more like Mom Foster.
  14. Re David Andrew MacDonald He had a day player role on AW prior to Loving
  15. Re Kristine DeBell She had an earlier role on Y&R as a runaway. I believe this was either Sharon or Julie in the Rose DeVille story of 79. Dawn Jeffory played the other runaway
  16. I wonder if the ex con was John Hughes, Chris and Edith's brother? It certainly fits the character and timeline.
  17. Re Ted Danson he has 2 other Somerset roles Dr Larson Temp replacement as Jerry Kane re Alison Argo Rhoda - Edge of Night
  18. Ryan had about 10 years on the show right? Been married a few times, no family so time to write him off to clear space for new characters. Pity that at some point it was decided to keep way too many actors/characters. That's why I supported Brad going. Michael/Kevin/Chelsea/Phyllis etc should be gone to allow core characters new people to interact with rather than going around in circles.
  19. Don't recall seeing this pic before. Peggy (Fran Myers) just faded away .I believe she was last seen in 79? was she given any kind of exit?
  20. Brock/Beau should have been given an on air tribute and died offscreen. The 45th anniversary episode should have dealt with Brock's death. He was Mac's father, had relationships (romantic and otherwise) with Lorie, Leslie, Julia, Esther, Jill etc all of whom were apart of that anniversary week. Plenty of opportunities for flashbacks to a character who was part of the show for many years.
  21. Why would they do that and why would anybody buy it? Like who would be spending money on Y&R's background music?
  22. Re carrie genzel Her B&B nurse was named Melinda. She was on the list of my next requests, and here they are Ted Danson Diane McBain Camila Ashland David Andrew McDonald Alison Argo Robert Christian Kevin McCarthy
  23. Exactly. That music was such apart of Y&R. Today's stuff is so generic.
  24. Re Kim Hamilton Add Executive Suite - Elly Gibson #2 re Hilda Haynes Her Executive Suite character was Bessy Johnson
  25. Re Peter Donay Add pilot Delta County - John McCain Jr
