"I filled your pen up the way you fill me up, Smitty". That is the nicest thing Martin has to said to Smitty but I did have to laugh because it could be taken more than one way.

The clothes on here make the other soaps look so rundown and shabby. Martin seemed to go extra gay in this episode. When they were back stage he was giving big "oh my god fabulous" energy.

When she said that I was immediately spelling put the abbreviation of ATCCT. Lol.

I would hope that it is inadvertent and just a quirk of the casting rather than an intentional move. And save for the threats Ted isn't much more terrible than Bill so unless Ted actually acts on those threats he is mostly on the same level. But I will say that casting overall leaned rather fair skinned for the Black characters. That goes with the overall trend for casting Black characters across entertainment though.

Leslie and yet another wig. She probably picked this one up with a couple of hundred from that 50k Ted dropped off. Tyrell is going to end up really getting hurt, either by bullies or himself. Anita's line about things with Martin ending terribly was very much 70s soap. That sort of delivery is uncommon these days.

Having watcged quite a bit of EON recently I'm not seeing it either. Raven was far less level headed than Nicole. If anything the character closest to being like Raven is Dani.

There is still a grace period to be had and we are only on episode 28. It's just a guess but Ashley and Derek probably were not part of the vision of the show at the start and were added to make sure that there were more White contract players in the cast. Ashley was in the promo before the show started as "the caregiver" which I thought was odd since it didn't really vibe with the rest of the characters featured in said promo. That part aside there is also the common soap trap of a perfect character that the writers try to force the audience to root for.

Doug has to be linked to the death of Joey's mother somehow. Otherwise Joey wouldn't be so determined to get him in his debt. The stage is set for Bill to have a heart attack and it will probably happen in court for maximum dramatic effect.

Nothing about Joey qualifies as fine or delicious. Setting the looks aside there isn't even any swagger there.

I know Doug is a cardiologist and Bill could be having stroke which is neurological, but if Bill has any ties to Joey or Joey owes him a favor then Joey could easily get Doug to help back up a fake stroke scheme.

At this point being sick is the only thing that would get Naomi to soften toward him so he probably is pulling a trick.

I knew that Joey's mother was dead from the minute he started with the whole buying a house routine. And it is no offense to the actor but this whole idea of Joey being captivating and attractive is not selling. Putting the looks aside the character itself comes off as too nefarious to be attractive. It's a guarantee that Hayley will get in Naomi's face saying "You put your father in the hospital" (if he's admitted). And of course Dani will have to rush over to check on him which will trigger a clash with Hayley.

The Duprees are powerful, but not cutthroat or ruthless. What is lacking is one character that is willing to stand up to Bill in a hardcore way.

An interesting twist would be if Leslie got a hold of the information. It has to come out at some point and Bill has to lose his leverage at some point too. Considering that she hates Ted and Nicole it would be great revenge for her to drop a bomb about their son.

Bill went over there playing games with Dani so he is definitely the one in the wrong now. Vernon and Anita expect everyone to sacrifice for Martin and it really isn't fair. If they don't want his secret coming out they should urge him to resign from office and live a completely private life.

This stinky bitch at the White House just interrupted my story with his bullshit. DAMN IT!

Bill is such a slut. He is willing to whore himself out to Dani to make this lawsuit go away. It was amusing to see it happening while Hayley was out harassing Chelsea though. Hayley is doing too much when it comes to lecturing Naomi and Chelsea. Naomi's relationship with Bill very much gives those soap characters who grew up thinking someone else was their father, like Bo and Victor on Days or Margo and John on ATWT. Andre is showing a nastier, manipulative side and that might help this story a bit. Him making Derek's picture look bad was so petty.

It's a very realistic touch to the writing. Plenty of women who marry wealthy men will defend just about anything in order to protect the money.

Leslie was serving Celeste Perrault. Did Martin really say "you're better at it!" about parenting the kids? He is ridiculous. Hayley actually showed signs of being really nasty. She was much harsher toward Naomi than she was toward Dani.

He was giving the "oh really?" expression. Martin is in big trouble now.

Putting in my prediction that Hayley slept with Mike to get that promotion. She seemed to gung ho to testify in his favor. Although she clearly was not pleased with Bill's hysterical women comment so that prediction could be wrong.

Dani asking for vodka in her orange juice was very much alcoholic behavior. Chelsea quitting modeling is going to send her further over the edge. Naomi doesn't much care about what happens with her relationship with her father at this point and that is going to make this story even more exciting because there are no guard rails.

Anita's group is probably going to perform at this police fundraiser. At least that is how it seems it's being set up. Eva faking a knee injury was so over the top but it fits with the scheming. The black spray on Detective Malone's head was very much noticeable. Can't blame hair and makeup for that though because the actor very likely did that himself.

Seeing Hayley confront Naomi over the lawsuit is what I'm really looking forward too. That's a huge overstep for Hayley and it might push Naomi to move forward.

Keith might have been a preferred choice who initially declined but changed his mind after it was clear the show was happening and looked promising.
