Trisha Mann-Grant is definitely will be a contender for a Best Supporting Actress Emmy nomination. Maybe even Lead Actress depending on how this story progresses.

Eva seems to be getting attached to Nicole and that's going to eventually make Leslie furious. I can hear her saying something like "So you're gonna choose that rich heifer over your Mama?" lol.

Had an opportunity to binge watch this while on vacation and was very impressed. I don't get attached to very many shows, but it really drew me in. 8 seasons is an amazing feat.

This is the show's third week. Nothing is going to be wrapped up on any soap in that short amount of time.

Naomi did ask why Jacob didn't give a heads up so I think it was the surprise of the arrest that made the reaction worse. Jacob seems like he might have been trying to make a name for himself by arresting an elite. His reaction to being the crooked cop's partner raised that flag for me because it showed a level of ambition. IMO, he is more than willing to throw his wife's family under the bus (rightfully or wrongfully) if he can advance in the police department.

I'm starting to thinking Bill is more mentally unstable than Dani. His press conference was manic and him googling her was odd. Eva finding Nicole's bracelet makes me wonder if she is going to start gaslighting Nicole.

With each episode Hayley's wardrobe gets tackier. She looks like Naomi Harper 2025. That aside she's becoming aware that Bill isn't letting go of Dani. He was ready to call the police after he overheard Dani say that she was letting go of him. He likes Dani chasing after him and will do whatever it takes to keep that up.

Leslie is so over the top. Lol at her acting like she's going to jump off the roof. And I guess she can't be Silk Press Sheila anymore because she changed her hair. Bill having Dani arrested is only going to keep the feud going. Once again she was ready to move on and she has been pushed away from moving on again. The daughters are certainly going to hate him for having their mother arrested, but then again he may have set it up to make Naomi's husband take all the blame.

I feel like the point of Dani's visit was to issue the warning that Bill will eventually show his true colors but that could have been done with a random encounter in public that happened before Bill told Hayley he didn't want her working. Dani and Hayley's dynamic sort of mirrors Katherine and Jill's on Y&R where Katherine had a friendship with Jill before Jill had an affair with Phillip.

Dani's smirk at the meme was giving Maria Roberts (OLTL) when she was fantasizing about shooting Viki. And her showing up at Hayley's house was very much Erica Kane because Erica would go to Brooke's house to talk smack. Hayley's wardrobe is basically a modern version of how tacky characters dressed on old soaps minus the bright colors. Eva is a villain, but Kat's elitism is making it easier for me to root for Eva.

The age thing is no big deal it's just a noticeable quirk. It can be passable as long as it doesn't get as absurd as Dan Stewart's ridiculous aging on ATWT.

If the Fandom page for Beyond the Gates is correct, Brandon Claybon is 36 and it seems like the character is near a similar age judging from the political career that is being portrayed. There are definitely some flubs with the writing in terms of the timeline that is being set. Based on the clash she had with Kat it seems like the writers are putting them in the same age group yet at the same time Leslie is seemingly saying she knew Ted before he met Nicole. Very confusing.

Bill seems obsessed with Dani and her family. He left on his wedding night to attend a press conference despite his new wife not wanting him to do that. No matter what happens it seems like Bill just isn't going to let go of Dani and that will be an issue in his marriage. Lol at him saying that Dani "disfigured" Hayley's face and Hayley touching her cheek like it was painfully scarred.

Delivering a baby in the elevator is a way of getting Ashley to bond with Andre in some sort of way. Assuming that they do end up together at some point that might put her on a collision course with Dani if Dani eventually wants more with Andre. That would be down the road but the writing do far is hinting at Ashley possibly messing up her relationship with Derek for Andre.

At least the wedding was ruined and the Hamiltons had to get married in front of almost no one. Anita had no room to get angry because she should have supported Dani going to Paris and not demanded that she go to the wedding. Forcing her to be that was asking for a huge scene.

The first week was quite good and it wouldn't surprising if the show was number one for the week just from the new engagement. The pace was very quick for a debut week but this is a time when you have to move fast to get viewers. It would have taken a month to get to the wedding at the pace of older soaps.

Bill's main objective seems to be to push Dani's buttons. After her making a fool of herself he still chose to approach her instead of just letting matters go.

Dani begging Bill was embarrassing, but it does add a layer to the character's current state. She is all over the place and it's not just anger. When Vernon stood up and Anita told him to sit down that was such a good moment. She was like "Why are you standing up? Sit your ass down". Was Leslie saying that Ted is Eva's father or did she mean something else? Seems like there might more to it because it's quite early to make a reveal like that.

Promotion for the show helped draw viewers for the specials but it's still amazing that they got decent views with individual promotion. GH's producers are probably dreading seeing the ratings now that actual episodes of BTG have aired.

Martin is to an extent supposed to be irritating because he clearly wants his husband to be at home playing a traditional role. The actor definitely needs to improve on line delivery.

Let's remember that there has been emphasis on Nicole's perfect marriage and emphasis almost always equals there are some hidden cracks. Ted is probably not so perfect and Leslie is probably a part of that imperfection. He either had an affair with her or botched up and killed Eva's father or someone else close to her.

That blouse definitely read strumpet. It seems like the writers are trying to go in a different direction than the standard homewreckers who make snarky comments and brag about breaking up marriages.

"Take your cookies with you" was a top tier insult.

I got Raven Whitney (EON) vibes from Dani in that she is very impulsive and self-confident.

Lots of establishment of the Dupree Family which is to be expected in the first episode. It is clear that Bill and Hayley antagonizing Dani has compounded her anger and that makes her not moving on more understandable as it is hard to move forward with people trying to push your buttons.
