  1. Obviously Will is going through a lot because that speech clearly showed that he is struggling. It was about more than the joke and he took out whatever aggression he had on Chris Rock.
  2. That was one of the craziest award show moments ever.
  3. For one she ran a non-profit that backed the Tea Party and then shuttered once that movement became irrelevant. She has a history of utilizing dark money for activism and has been criticized before for being to active as the spouse of a court justice.
  4. Clarence had a history of not saying a word on the court and pretty much hiding behind Scalia so his personality type is that of one who lets others do the work for him. He's smart enough to have kept his hands clean and let his wife do all the dirty work because she is an activist (more like an operative) who is expected to be dirty.
  5. The insanity of all of these is almost cartoonish. These people got so desperate that they left receipts all over the place or they were so confident that they didn't even think about how sloppy they were being (it's a combination really).
  6. Not at all. If you don't feel bad about it you just don't feel bad. He's not a very likable person and unlikable people don't get an overwhelming amount of sympathy.
  7. Clarence Thomas' wife is not going to allow any accurate information to get out which means the court can only tell whatever she lets them know. She is a major political hack and if her husband is gravely ill she is going to conceal it as long as possible and if worse comes to worse she will keep it until after the election in the event Republicans win the Senate. With that said I can't see that working because if the regular media didn't find out the truth then TMZ will.
  8. I wouldn't trust any poll showing Walker leading comfortably. There are a lot of Republican leaning polls out there will suspicious methodology and Georgia is still the south so a black man who has beat white women is going to have some major problems.
  9. Writers can't be insecure. He needs to get over it because whining about tweets is pointless.
  10. Obviously there was a time when spoilers in magazines and tv guides were not a thing, so I'm talking about stories that weren't spoiled in the era of spoilers being available. Even the ridiculous Melaswen twist was spoiled months before the reveal on a random message board. One story that I know didn't get spoiled was when Storm ended up shooting Katie on B&B. As I recall there were even fake official descriptions of the episode posted because what the descriptions said would happened never actually happened and Katie getting shot was actually a surprise to viewers.
  11. That episode was devastating. I was already welling just when Brooke started running, but when she finally saw what happened and then Donna came in and screamed I lost it.
  12. It was an interesting decade in that in produced so much material that became popular within gay culture and at the same time cultural conservatism became more organized.
  13. I recall several weeks or well over a month where the characters had on the same clothes and it just looked ridiculous. I don't even know why I watched this show.
  14. Yes, that was fairly gay, but a lot of 80s aerobics had that feel. And I'm glad you are back, Khan. I missed your posts.
  15. A non-soap actress, but I always thought that Joanna Barnes who played Vicki in The Parent Trap would have been good on a soap opera. Perhaps as a sister for Katherine Chancellor to go up against.
  16. I remember reading about Beverly Johnson's claims against Chris Noth way back when the Black Voices message board was active. This never got much attention because it seemed that only the tabloids picked it up. At the time there was no way that a black woman (even one an accomplished one) would have been believed over a popular white actor.
  17. Haven't seen the movie yet, but this sort of thing fits with how all over the place soap towns are. The writers want them to be everything from a rural hamlet to a suburb to a huge metropolitan area.
  18. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. There is a unique chemistry there that could be expanded on.
  19. They really should have given his character an embarrassing, absurd exit. Something like he ate too many flaming hot cheetos and pooped himself to death.
  20. The one time that I felt ashamed of my humanity is when I felt an ounce of sympathy for Trump when he was sick.
  21. Arlene Dahl was also the mother of Lorenzo Lamas (Falcon Crest, B&B).
  22. ReddFoxx replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
Coming out is a very individualized experience. I first did it 8 years ago when I told my mother and it was quite a relief that get that out. Last week I told several family members and announced it on social media which was something that I thought I would never do, but it worked out well because everyone was accepting. How I see it is if people don't accept your coming out and cut you off then that is a way of seeing the truth about them. If you really love and care about somebody you don't cut them off for being gay. Knowing who is truly in your corner in important and even hearing bad reactions is conducive to growth.
  23. This is Sharon doing "And I Am Telling You" in 2012.
  24. Not sure if this was ever posted, but I thought this was a nice magazine cover of Debbie and Darnell when they were on Loving.
  25. Cane Ashby on Y&R. After he was undone as Jill's son it was surprising that he even kept on.
