  1. That’s great that he arranged this. It would be nice if her son joined, but I know it might be too raw for him at the moment. I’m sure he’ll do the same for KH eventually.
  2. Yeah, that’s pretty much a slap in the face. They didn’t even do a flashback reenactment of Rey in the crash as Ashland told the story? Maybe they are waiting for a twist (JG loves to “surprise” us with a “twist”) to show that perhaps Rey didn’t die due to the crash. Maybe he was still alive but Ashland really killed him? Either way, odd. Sharon Case’s great acting would have resonated more if I bought Sharon and Rey as a couple. They actually directed/shot that Sharon/Nick scene reasonably well, even if it was overlit in the modern-day Y&R style. They should have just ended the scene with Sharon saying “I already know,” then her breaking down, instead of cutting to Victoria/Ashland/Victor/Nikki in the cabin and cutting back to Nick breaking down the gory details of Rey’s death to Sharon. Would have been more impactful. Ashland is a total fail as a character, but RN is doing a good job. I can’t imagine Richard Burgi playing any of this.
  3. One of the things DAYS does better than the other soaps is having one character expose another, like Abby reading Gwen for filth. We rarely get that satisfaction on the other shows, and it’s one of the great pleasures of soaps. (Love me some Marci Miller.)
  4. It’s also incredibly hypocritical and disingenuous of them to rail against Hollywood when they are more than happy to turn up and play court jester on Hollywood’s platforms.
  5. lol Even funnier was when Nicole Scherzinger asks, “Is that Robert Duvall?!?!” And Ken says under his breath, “That’s… not Robert Duvall.” All things aside, it’s spectacularly sh!tty they threw one of their hosts under the bus for sensationalism. Plus, they gambled for a ratings boost and… lost.

  7. Matt Bomer (GL) stars in and exec-produces a new eight-part limited series Fellow Travelers, which has landed a series order from Showtime. “Fellow Travelers is a love story and political thriller, chronicling the volatile romance of two very different men who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington.” The story goes from the ‘50s through the ‘80s AIDS crisis.
  8. All of this just to replay this tired triangle.
  9. Honestly, the whole show is so disastrous that I barely notice whatever Kimberlin is doing now. Sheila has long overstayed her welcome.
  10. Ashland framing Victoria for killing Rey could potentially have a lot of dramatic angles, but it feels rushed and sloppy. The Sharon/Rey/Chelsea triangle was likely a dead end, but you’d think they would have developed it more before *killing* the guy.
  11. Totally. A lot of this feels like someone up the chain threw a gauntlet down and intervened (while the stories are still tinged with JG’s very *loose* structuring and pacing).

  13. She’s terrible. Mark Teschner really whiffed on that casting.
  14. If someone told me NuJordan was an actual robot, I’d think the actress was amazing. I prefer Tabyana’s braids like today. She looks great. More grown-up.
  15. About effin’ time. But I guess she gotta get that bag. I can’t stand her (the motherly redemption didn’t work for me). She caped for that grotesque dude for way too long. I understand why, but that doesn’t mean it absolves her.
  16. Wow, these writers are so in their little bubbles. Make it make sense.

  19. At least it’ll take the heat off of Sally. I do wonder how Diane will interact with new characters. They’ve already put Allie in her corner. A team-up with Ashland would seem like a no-brainer eventually, but this show loves to leave obvious dramatic possibilities on the table.
