Well...lol...that's where he lived, I think, after he was discharged from the Guyana Defence Force. (He was living in Tortola with his then-wife and my half-sister, whom I've never met.) Papa Khan was born and raised, though, in Kitty Village, which remains one of Georgetown's (British Guyana) roughest neighborhoods. As he told me many times over the years, everyone he grew up with either died or ended up in jail; and even though he never renounced his Guyanese citizenship -- in fact, he'd finally applied for his green card when he died unexpectedly seven years ago -- he never held any desire to return there either. Frankly, I don't think Trump has anything to worry about when it comes to slowing immigration. He and the rest of his administration have done a bang-up job in deterring anyone from coming here for generations to come. LOL! Oh, @Vee!

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
"RENEE DIMERA HAS SURVIVED! AND NONE OF YOU -- I MEAN NONE OF YOU -- ARE EVER GONNA HURT ME AGAIN!!" She was right. Nobody in that room ever hurt her again, lol! I don't understand why everyone felt compelled to stay there and listen to her, though. She wasn't detaining anyone. Just walk out the [!@#$%^&*] door, people. It's interesting that with all the characters DAYS has brought back from the dead over the years, Renee DiMera is one who has STAYED dead.

The opening two lines of the Dawn commercial: Girl at Slumber Party: "Oh, mirror, mirror, when will I meet the boy of my dreams?" CUT TO: Mother (laughing, from downstairs): "As soon as you girls go to sleep!" Damn, Mama, lol!

OTOH, I've witnessed how Ron Carlivati writes for POC, so I could feel grateful that, for the most part, he's left us the hell alone, lol!

If this new policy had been in effect in 1972, when Papa Khan immigrated here on a visa from the British Virgin Islands, he would have been denied entry. And if he had been denied entry into the U.S., he and Mama Khan never would have met, and yours truly never would have been born. (Which could be good or bad, depending on how one feels about me.) I'm just saying. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/04/us/immigrant-visas-health-care.html?fbclid=IwAR14MtY-bth1jVv8O8rXcobbNHLYe233vJzuxgrjD-Jegpxgm91jOn-mqi8

ANOTHER (potential) whistleblower? Damn. Is there ANY one in D.C. who isn't ready to dish the dirt on this administration? https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/04/us/politics/second-trump-whistleblower.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage

Ironic that Pete Buttigieg should be considered not as extreme as other Democratic candidates in this election cycle. We've come a long way, baby. IDK what to say about those texts, except I think it's funny (and strange) how texting turns us all into chatty high school girls. It's as if these guys all were holding their smartphones under their desks; texting, tweeting and sneaking peeks at Instagram while Trump, Pence, Barr and Pompeo weren't looking. I caught a bit of Faux News while waiting for my to-go order at [redacted]. Apparently, they're all over the fact that one of 'em said, "The president said 'no quid pro quo' here." And here we thought Bubbles, who had "found the Lort" while still in college, would be above such skulduggery.

There's something poetic in the House requesting the emails, doncha' think? A former high school classmate has been suggesting on FB that transcripts aren't enough; that they need to release the tapes as well. Now, I realize, she just might have a point.

Nevertheless, the Trump Administration, along with that Vogel dude and every yahoo with a podcast or YouTube account, will STAY insisting that "Uncle Joe" used his political muscle to squash an investigation against his crooked-as-the-day-is-long son.

Funny how Republicans (and my own mother) love to interpret Hillary Clinton's every move as a sign of Parkinson's or other neurological disorder, yet Trump's own physical movements and even speech mirror just about every Patient of the Week's on "House." (No, Foreman, this ain't lupus either.)

I don't see how, though. Again, I don't think the Senate will vote to remove him from office. I think the GOP will continue to defend him, because they are too afraid to do anything to upset their base. The House could vote to impeach him -- which they should -- but what does that truly mean, if he remains in office? IMO, voting him out next year is the only true recourse we have. That way, with him out of the WH, SDNY and whoever else can move forward in prosecuting him. (Provided, of course, he can't be pardoned for his crimes at the state level). And we can get on with the business of healing this country. The big question, though, is what ELSE is he gonna do in the meantime? And, God forbid, what happens if we CAN'T vote him out next year, but instead we're stuck with him until 2024 (and maybe beyond)?

They KNOW the man they work for is batshit crazy. Yet, because they pride party over everything else, including the safety and stability of the people they have been sworn to protect, they sweep it all under the rug and pretend everything's fine. It's because of that kind of enabling and codependency that we are on the track we are now. People make fun of the fact that Elizabeth Warren seemingly has plans for addressing everything. However, if she's willing to come into office with solutions, and then figure out something else if those solutions don't yield the best results, then what's the problem? At least she HAS plans. What does Trump have, besides a severe psychological disorder? Of course, they aren't defying Pompeo, because they value this country. They're defying him, because they hope cooperating will keep them from being prosecuted as well. But, you know, whatever works.
