  1. No, we'd care. However, the GOP and Fox News would accuse us of not caring ENOUGH. Never mind that we (meaning, of course, liberals) are supposed to be "snowflakes."
  2. Wow. Judging from everyone's reactions, you would think he had admitted on the witness stand that he was a common whore like Katrina Karr and that Marco Dane was his pimp.
  3. I figured this administration would do as much. And they're only doing this, because -- why? -- they want to erase Obama from history.
  4. IDK why SNL took issue with his comments. Do they watch their own show? Racism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia have always run amuck, both on-screen and off.
  5. It's a shame Dan Aykroyd's own sitcom, "Soul Man," didn't work out. I think he'd be good for the genre.
  6. "Peacock" is a good name for their streaming service. A SBTB revival, though....
  7. Oh, that is sad news. I liked her. She was part of an era when the news (and ABC News) was about just that, and not about everything else. RIP Cokie.
  8. Craig's romance with Sierra did the impossible: it redeemed him from the horrid and horrible things he did to keep Steve and Betsy apart. It's tragic how all that was thrown away in ATWT's final years. Barbara and Margo's animosity, stemming from the fact that Margo was once James' mistress, was one of the best aspects of ATWT during that golden era. Love it.
  9. Exactly. It's possible the woman doesn't recall what happened..."but I don't think so." The GOP keeps saying the Democrats have orchestrated a hit on K********'s career and reputation. Perhaps, if we were talking about just Dr. Ford's allegations, or hers along with 1 or 2 other people's, there might be some validity to their claim. However, when you look at the number of others who had volunteered to talk with the FBI about K******** but were turned away.... 'Tis an awfully WIDE conspiracy to bring down one judge, even one who sits on the Supreme Court, don't you think? Moreover, who's doing the conspiring here? The Dems, or the Senate, through the DOJ and FBI?
  10. I suspect the woman has witnessed what Dr. Ford and others went through and doesn't want to be subjected to the same kind of abuse. Who could blame her?
  11. I would have guessed Laurel since ED resembles Kristen Jensen, who originated the role. Either they would have created Laurel for her, or they would have wanted her to replace Jensen (but wound up going in a different direction with Felicity LaFortune).
  12. Oh, well. So the prick is made of Teflon. I guess that's why Trump loves him so. Speaking of Trump, I was tickled see him suggest B**** K******** should sue for libel. Really, Donald? Like the Central Park Five should sue YOU for the smear campaign you launched against them BITD? And for which you STILL refuse to apologize, even though DNA evidence and the state of New York ultimately exonerated them? IA with you both. I'm just afraid his is a name that will keep recurring in the media (and everywhere else) until we all are dead in our graves. Ugh.
  13. God. That POS B**** K******** is back in the news. It's like watching a sequel to a movie you didn't like in the first place. I wish he would just spare himself, his family and the rest of the country the agony and resign.
  14. I still hate how his victims were denied true justice, and how the Senate just cavalierly branded them as liars by confirming Kavanaugh. But, karma is real, Brett, and it's a bitch. ;)
  15. I would have made her come back down and mop up every bit of her "menstrual blood." Then, I would have hauled her ass off to jail. Ironically, I read an article today in The New Yorker -- yes, I read TNY, shut up -- about the effect the anti-vaccine movement is having on the rate of measles vaccinations in this country, particularly in areas where people are more susceptible to believing all the innuendo about their effects on children. Basically, the article says, public health officials have to treat the movement the same way in which they treat the disease: as an actual disease that itself needs "vaccinations." That means dividing anti-vaxxers into two categories: those who are "hardcore" and are resistant to any education on the subject (basically, the ones who make it necessary for the rest of us to be vaccinated, and promptly); and those who are "vaccine-resistant," that gray, in-between area, where they might be okay with giving their kids the shots, but who remain concerned nevertheless. Frankly, public health officials have enough on their hands trying to keep measles (and other diseases) in containment status. They have neither the time nor the resources to beat back all the loons who still believe vaccines contain dead baby parts and can cause autism.
  16. From what I understand, Brock "found the Lort" as a result of all the naughty [!@#$%^&*] he and Lorie did overseas. Which opens a whole other can of worms, when you think about it.
  17. The day we had Brad Carlton (or was it Victor Newman?) crushing Nazis' windpipes with his thighs, while Victoria was holed up at her place replicating reliquaries.
  18. Had it been a Mrs. John Doe OF COLOR, we'd be getting ready for her public hanging. IKR? And I don't know about y'all, but I can't WAIT for her post-incarceration interview with some news outlet, where she'll undoubtedly blink back tears as she talks about how jail "changed her for the better" and now she'll make it her life's work to assist low-income, non-Caucasian female inmates everywhere who have been railroaded by the big, bad justice system in this country. Yawn.
  19. He has his "chosen one," Ivanka. The others...? [!@#$%^&*] 'em. Ironically, I think Barron is Trump's most handsome offspring, poised to look better than even Ivanka and Tiffany.
  20. Oh, I didn't know that! I thought they were two separate services! Thanks, @dragonflies! Really? It's still free? Shows you how often I watch these damn things, doesn't it, lol?
  21. Well, an illicit affair between a middle-aged, upper-middle-class woman and a high school boy would've been right up Bill Bell's, and early Y&R's, proverbial alley!
  22. Streamers' budgets are maxed as it is. Subscribe to any more of these services and you might as well go back to cable. Meanwhile, how many of these services are out there now, including the ones that have been announced but have yet to launch? On my list, there's Netflix, Hulu, Sling, Philo, BET Plus, Amazon Prime, Disney+, AppleTV, HBO Now AND HBO Max, AT&T TV Now, NBC Universal's one, Warner Archive (which, I guess, will be merged with HBO Max?), Criterion Collection and YouTube TV. What am I missing/overlooking?
  23. Yeah, like why Barron would rather call him "Dad" than call Trump.
  24. There were two actors from that period who, when they finally "hit it big," they REALLY hit. One was Ted Danson, the other was Tom Selleck.
  25. Well, he needs to stop, before he ends up making his son sound like the male version of young Drew Barrymore.
