  1. That's my prediction as well. CBS (and Sony) can't be thrilled to see B&B starting to beat Y&R in several demos. BUT...that might be just what's needed to light a fire under everyone's asses at Y&R (even if the results could be scary in the process, lol).
  2. I wonder if Sharon Gabet would've been better served as Rachel's half-sister, Pamela Davis.
  3. Oh, dear Lord. That's straight-up creepy.
  4. "The Articulettes" doesn't seem like the right kind of name for an R&B/Soul trio that peaked in the late '80's. Not when you have similar groups from that same period with names like Klymaxx and Exposé. Unless they were more like the Pointer Sisters or Patti Labelle and the Bluebelles/Labelle, groups that lasted decades and went through several transformations. I'm kind of with @Vee : timelines are always somewhat dicey on soaps. I just assume that Vernon and Anita first met during the Civil Rights movement (when she would've been very, very young) but that things between them didn't turn romantic until much later.
  5. We all know what we'd like to see happen to our favorite soaps in the coming year, but what do we think will actually happen? Take this as seriously (or non-seriously) as you'd like! (And thank you, @Melroser , for inspiring this post).
  6. I think what BTG needs in 2026 is a showrunner who could give the show the good, swift kick in the pants that it needs. JHC might be a sweetheart, but she has no vision.
  7. And this is what that moment brought to my mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXjAVMYj3SY&list=RDAXjAVMYj3SY&start_radio=1
  8. I agree. A.J. (and his paternity) was at the center of one of GH's biggest storylines - one that helped to propel GH to #1 - and yet anyone who wrote for that character always wound up making a big mess of him.
  9. Even Bob Guza would've been a better fit for AMC than Chuck Pratt.
  10. I totally could see Drew as a Fox NewsMax personality, lol. I'd rather watch an episode that was well-written and had only three characters.
  11. At least it wasn't another one of those "It's a Wonderful Life" homages where some poor soul glimpses what life in Genoa City would be like without them. I've had enough of those to last me the rest of this life and the next.
  12. Not a sentence you read everyday, lol! I didn't want the shooting to change Drew either, but as I've said before, if you're going to shoot him, and he doesn't die or undergo some kind of seismic shift in his personality, what's the point?
  13. I know I've said this before, but the quality of the episodes doesn't matter so much to me, as long as the episodes are available (and preferably, without cuts made for syndication).
  14. It makes sense for BTG (or any soap) to hire Jordi. He's an attractive soap vet with a following, and he likely appeals to non-Caucasian demographics, too.
  15. That's my issue with the storyline, too. Whenever you shoot the bastard, either he dies, or he "sees the light," so to speak. So far, it looks as if we're getting neither. If anything, I think Drew has grown even MORE obnoxious since getting shot, if that's even possible! Of course, I'm also the only one in the universe who thought "Who Shot J.R.?" turned out to be a tremendous waste of time as well, so don't go by me, lol.
  16. Still, to make it even THAT far, lol!
  17. I plan on doing the same in the new year with all my favorite sitcoms and drama shows. I realize it's better to have them on DVD, but it's just getting harder to collect them, when you see the condition they're in when they arrive in your mailbox.
  18. It was only a matter of time, lol!
  19. Yeah, but they've gone so OTT with Drew that I expect him to tie Willow to the railroad tracks before the new year!
  20. I still can't believe you gave PASSIONS three months, lol.
  21. I'm with @Vee , @Antoyne . My GH viewing has been sporadic since PM jumped/was pushed, and nothing that I've viewed will make me change that.
  22. AFAIC, that was the point of no return for DAYS. The show has struggled since, either to top that storyline, or to be more traditional, and neither path has worked.
  23. I agree that Susan Haskell brought an intensity to OLTL that hadn't been seen since Judith Light had left. Her Marty wasn't the typical, dewy-eyed, long-suffering soap heroine; Haskell was much too "real" for that. I just wish the show had waited another year before telling the story of her rape. I don't believe we had bonded enough with Marty to take such a journey with her.
  24. It's unbelievable how seemingly drama-averse GH has become in Frank Valentini's hands. Like I said before, if he had his druthers, he'd turn GH into "Home & Hearth," and just fill each episode with goofy hijinks.
