  1. A shame, since I thought K&A was as good as Cosby and FT. Also a shame that "Newhart," while not perfect, got overshadowed by "Night Court," which often confused weirdness with humor (IMO).
  2. As soon as I saw the name "Stuart Erwin" in those credits, I had to google it. Sure enough, that's the actor whose son, also named Stu, was, for many years, the drama development executive at MTM, helping to get shows like "Hill Street Blues" and "St. Elsewhere" on the air. (I'm a huge MTM fan, so forgive me, lol).
  3. I've just looked this show up on IMDB and unless IMDB is wrong again... Selig J. Seligman and Gene Banks also worked together on GH as EP and producer, respectively. Banks was also DAYS' first producer, and writer Ken Rosen was its' first HW (w/ Peggy Phillips), too.
  4. I wonder if that was the same Bruce Lansbury who, with sister Angela, produced the final seasons of "Murder, She Wrote."
  5. I know, it came to me shortly after I had posted that, lol. (Look above and you'll see I've edited it.)
  6. I hit a paywall. ETA: Remembered how to maneuver around it. Unfortunately, Mama Khan is but one of many Boomers who believes the video (which some Trump-loving Uncle Tom posted on YT along with his "commentary") to be legit, even after I tried to explain what a "deepfake" was. ("Well, why would they post it on the Internet if it wasn't true?")
  7. To me, it's just sad that the political climate in this country has become so toxic that we can't even entertain the notion of Pete Buttigieg as VP right now. Maybe one day! But not today.
  8. I'm DYING to know what those notes entailed, lol!
  9. Meanwhile, Mama Khan's watching some fool on YT rant and rave about how he can't see Kamala Harris leading troops into battle. (One, that's not exactly the president's job; and two, as if Donald Trump, who's too stupid to duck from a would-be assassin's bullet, could.)
  10. Michael couldn't handle Carol Kane, much less Erica.
  11. What really happened to the Gregorys? And where did the plane crash myth come from? It seems like someone killed off a bunch of unnecessary characters that way, but no one can say for certain on which show it happened, lol.
  12. Mary Stuart's final words ("They were wonderful years") always tear me up. You literally could see her heart breaking. She wasn't ready to let go.
  13. A porn star name, if ever I've heard one.
  14. SMH. I'll say it again: too damn many for a half-hour soap that's starting out.
  15. Metro Court's newest slogan: "Come for the amenities, stay for the girl fights."
  16. If Team Trump isn't looking to ditch JDV right now, they're even bigger fools than I thought.
  17. Budgetary wizard or not, Frank Valentini is becoming to liability to GH, and to ABC.
  18. Whoever Kamala Harris picks for her VP, I hope that her campaign continues to hammer home for voters not just that they are not Trump/Vance, but that represent a new, fresh form of leadership.
  19. Meanwhile, the show she works on shoves her to the background after her onscreen love interest leaves and props a homophobic stage mom character. I'm gonna go ahead and say it: that girl is too good for GH.
  20. I wonder if that was the moment when Patrick Mulcahey said, "[!@#$%^&*] it, I'm done!" (Or maybe not. It probably happened after he was out of the building already).
  21. Let's be honest: Janet Spellman-Drucker is now EP for three reasons: 1) whatshisface was fired; 2) she probably was the production team member with the most seniority; and 3) if Team Corday or NBCU went looking for other candidates before hiring Drucker, no one either from within the organization or outside of it wanted the job. IOW, she's not there, because she wowed her bosses with some amazing vision for the show.
  22. If it was Lisa Whelchel - and I won't say it couldn't have been Lisa - then she is one stupid lady. Blair Warner worked as a character because you had Tootie, Natalie and especially Jo there to serve as contrasts. The bulk of Blair's humor came from her "stuck-up rich girl" sensibilities clashing with their relatively more down-to-earth ones. Take that away, set Blair off in her own little world and you have a character and a show that would get very irritating and fast. Frankly, I'm surprised Kim Fields went along at all with the others' plans to reboot/revive the show, given how hard she has tried over the years to distance herself from the character of Tootie. She must've needed the money desperately, lol. I think the closest Nancy McKeon ever came to having success outside of FOL was on "The Division," the police drama series that aired for several seasons on Lifetime and also starred Jon Hamm and Taraji P. Henson. Aside from that series and her TV movies, however, it does seem as if she never could escape from Jo's shadow. They wouldn't need to have a daughter each, though, since Eastland went co-ed at the end of the old series.
  23. Well, anyway, it's better than what she REALLY wanted to say:
