  1. Interesting tidbit, thanks. I have to dig out some old Digests around the mid 90's when they focused on African-American representation (or lack thereof) on soaps and it did a rundown of the top-rated shows among black households. At the time, DAYS was No. 2 in households but at the bottom in black homes which I was surprised to see.
  2. Wow, already 10 years ago today...
  3. Props to SNL for FINALLY including someone Asian. I just hope he isn't a "token hire" who isn't actually funny, like Sasheer Zamata and currently Ego Nwodim (there's still hope for her, but so far, pretty bland like Zamata).
  4. Oh the Bravo producers are definitely having fun in the editing department to make them look as bad as possible. That ending scene with Michael creeping in the back was indeed an editor's handiwork but it still did the job right. Boy, did that hour fly by! I was actually mad when the preview for next week popped up. Candaice was good but she be a little ratchet with her delivery. In the words of Bethenny, "just because you're loud, doesn't mean you're right." Candaice was mostly right but she'll never take ownership for her over-the-top reaction at the dinner party, nor will she acknowledge that her house is just as much her mom's house (legally, financially) as it is hers. It's not 51%/49%, it's 50/50. At least she's finally paying the whole mortgage herself. Interesting lil' tidbit about Candaice's hubby also coming from money. The Candaice/Ashley revelations interspersed throughout their arguing is so messy good! The Grande Dame so effortlessly slaying Gizelle. Yes! Her side digs and telling it like it is about everyone is so delicious. Four seasons in, and Andy is still trying to make Gizelle happen And Monique is everything and I can't wait to see her get into the mix next week. I'll love seeing her next season, post-pregnancy and ready to get down again. Robyn was there too, right?
  5. LOL I'm down for it. Why not?
  6. REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DALLAS BRAVO 9:00 PM 634 0.2 That's 634,000 viewers, and a 0.2 18-49 demo. Yikes indeed. P.S. sorry I don't watch it either... It's the only one I don't watch.
  7. That's some good [!@#$%^&*] you're watching. Favorite era
  8. New Jersey is rumored to be returning on Thursday, November 7th. I guess Bravo is sticking with Thursdays for Housewives shows now?
  9. Wow, I'm surprised to see how low everyone was during the summer months. I would've thought a lot of shows would go up during June/July/August. NBC really shot Another World in the foot for its final 20 years...
  10. Oh Charriissee.... lol Yeah, her and Katie were the weak links in the first season IMO and Cha-Cha did nothing for me her second season. As a friend, she worked for the most part, except her motives for stirring the pot were so crystal clear it was hard for the other women (and us viewers) to take her seriously. She and Monique had a solid friendship before she set her up as being a troublemaker before copping to her manipulations at the reunion (she brought on that woman with the long face who was the ex of Gizelle's then-boyfriend or something?). I guess we could see her return next season (Friend Of only!) if Karen, Gizelle, Robyn, or Monique cared to mingle with her.
  11. It's no surprise that Trump and the Republican party "love the uneducated."
  12. ' True dat, and for that I give props too. Agreed 90% because in all honesty, I think Ashley makes great reality TV. Is she a willing beard in her marriage? Likely. Did she use her estranged papa to divert attention from Michael's grabby hands? Definitely. But she makes for great conflict in this group of women. No surprise, Karen and Monique continue to be MVP's of Potomac, with Chris Samuels as best Househubby.
  13. I liked that too. Didn't they film S4 immediately after S3? Like, within a few weeks after the reunion aired? It's funny how the season finale announces Ashley's pregnancy and now she's already given birth two months ago and filmed the reunion post-baby. Page isn't available What'd I miss?? LOL nevermind, I did a lil digging... What Katie posted on her Insta: mskatierost Verified Wow, what an impossible situation. On the trip to the Cayman, I was sick, I was there for a day and night before the “host” Robyn arrived. I don’t know what host means cause Robyn couldn’t host a five person dinner with her always declined Amex, so trust and believe I’m not sweating her deciding to not invite me on any more trips that she: a) can’t afford and b) can't get to on time.... lord where was I, so I was on the island wearing my bad wig and all and then I felt like something wasn’t right and called a doctor. He was an island/ house doctor... he came to my room and gave me antibiotics and told me to stay out of the sun. The next day we were on a boat all day and in the sun, I felt very sick. I left Grand Cayman after notifying production and the front desk that I was sick. I got home and found out I was pregnant. I told Robyn, Gizelle and all of production I was pregnant two days before Karen’s La Dame party. I told Ashley the night of. I lost the baby a few months later. #RHOP #YouAlreadyKnow #editinginvolvesintegrity Verified I don’t like liars or assholes or people who treat their employees like [!@#$%^&*], editing out that I left grand cayman because I was pregnant... wow, this production company has such a bad reputation, only a bottom feeder would let them in the room while a probe is going into your vagina, so they trumped up and then dropped sexual assault charges against one’s husband and a week later, it’s all good?! Nah Tell me I’m wrong. Ewwwwww #rhop Side note: I wish Bravo would drop the whole "hosting" of a trip. Any viewer with half a brain knows that Bravo pays for the vacations and they're planned well in advance. You think some of these heifers (on all shows) would pay thousands of dollars for their enemy to enjoy a lavish vacation on another continent? Kudos to Ramona for quietly breaking the fourth wall that one time Bethenny hadn't yet "asked her" to join on the trip. "Whatever, it's a girls trip, we're all invited."
  14. In all honesty, I wasn't a big fan. Don't know if it was her or the writing, but she came off as too harsh with being judgmental about the family's lack of religion in their lives.
  15. Now that we're a few episodes in, I can definitely say something is off about RHOC and I think one of the big reasons is because they're trying to center the show around Shannon as being the maternal voice of reason, after years of her being the town basket case, ready to explode at any moment. Now, she's supposedly the calming influence who can't be bothered by other people's negativity? She, the former Debbie Downer who'd suck the life out of every room she walked into or ran off like a crazy lunatic (see: her first introduction to the newly returned Lydia). I'm not buying this. Has her mood and outlook improved? Yes, tremendously. But let's not act like she's this holy mother of virtue and reasoning. Nuh-uh. It also doesn't help that half the cast is unrootable. Meanwhile, I *am* still liking Braunwyn. Unlike POTOMAC who has no problem breaking the 4th wall (and thank goodness for that!), the OC ladies (Tamra, Shannon) have their tits in a knot because the newbie who joined the series reached out to former castmates (Lizzie, Gretchen) that she has a one-degree-of-separation connection to. It makes total sense that she would reach out to someone who has firsthand knowledge of the crazy she's about to dive into.
  16. Well shoot, my hubby and I would be doubly dis-invited! Oh Mississippi, you keep holding onto that "Least Educated State" title...
  17. I remember seeing an episode of Hoarders or some such show where they had a team come in and toss out all the junk in one golden aged woman's home and her daughter made a mention that her mom had boxes and boxes worth of daytime television on VHS tapes in her basement and sure enough they dumped every last box. I can only imagine what goodies that woman had saved that could've been salvaged and uploaded online if she had the means to do so....
  18. If anything, I hope this jump-starts some of their waning careers. If Gabrielle Carteris is looking to get back in front of the camera, I would *love* to see her elsewhere. For someone marginalized during the majority of her time on the show in 1990-1995, she's like the breakout hit in my book on this "reboot."
  19. Interesting new nugget of info regarding GL's 3 weeks at "Number One." No. 1 in the hot timeslot, okay we can drink to that. Side note: Search for Tomorrow's ratings seem so strong in late '81-early '82 for a show dumped by CBS within months afterwards.
  20. I just love Carlton's explanation at the reunion. When asked why she was so pressed about Kyle when they first met and Kyle was making small-talk asking questions, and Carlton says, "I didn't feel you were coming from a place of genuine interest." And hence, the season-long hatred begins! Carlton is the one person whose animosity towards Kyle was unwarranted. Just one.
  21. Oh please oh please tell me he’s dying...
  22. Yeah. That was a pretty dumb followup remark. But overall, yes, Robyn finally grew some balls.
  23. So telling. "And it's Kyles show" just as RHONY was Bethenny's show. And for that I echo what everyone says that I hope Garcelle has these women shook half-way through the season.
  24. Dang, bring on the MODELS INC alums! That's kinda awesome about Garcelle. I otherwise have zero hopes for BH next season.
  25. That was around '93-94 when Luke & Laura returned to GH. That's when we learned Dan and Nancy preferred Guiding Light. Yeah, I look forward to seeing those numbers, if/when someone gets hold of them. @VanessaReardon Thank you for your continued postings! Interesting to see the numbers and rankings go up and down...
