  1. Taylor was the maid of honor at a wedding this weekend. So what if she didn't tweet when everyone else did. I bet a lot of those people don't even know what's really going on. I honestly wish Taylor wouldn't just stayed quiet on this situation because it's an on going legal case. Instead she was dragged into something that had nothing to do with her. This was so unnecessary by Demi.
  2. Demi needs to take a seat. Like who is to tell people what they should or not do. Is she the feminist police? And why should people do things to impress her? You're not the judge of everyone. If you want to show support, just do it your way. If all you can do is tweet, that's fine. Nobody's pressuring you to do more. If you want to do more, go ahead, *do something*.
  3. "influence on her" - by going to the EDM/dance route? Working with the likes of Calvin, Diplo, Skillex, Zedd, David Guetta, etc? I don't think Taylor needs to do that when so many pop artists are already doing that. I think the next move, after releasing another pop album, is going the pop-rock route and be more instrument based, since she can play the acoustic and electric guitar. Not a lot of pop stars are playing their own instruments right now. So in terms of people she's hanging around who might have some influence on her, I'm hoping she'll lean towards Haim than Calvin.
  4. In general, I think about 80% of it is all negativity. Twitter is good for situations where you need to get information out and stuff like that. Nowadays, people *must* speak up on twitter on subjects they might not want to talk about - I think that's just ridiculous. As if not tweeting something means you're not showing support. Also, social media has a way of getting the wrong information out there. It also has a way of executing people who before the whole story gets out. As if going on twitter and ranting about something is helpful. So you're able to type something out. Big deal. Good for you.
  5. I hate twitter, I really do.
  6. I like New Romantics but it's in the bottom half of the album for me. And no way a single released this late into the album goes #1. It rarely happens. Especially if the album does very well. So Taylor was the Maid of Honour at her friend's wedding yesterday. Taylor has so many "BFFs" but only one can say she is the original BFF, and that's Brit Maack, who Taylor says they met when she was 10 days old (and she's known the groom since kindergarten. Pictures in spoiler tags:
  7. I think this pretty much means no new album in 2016 - next album will be October 2017. If this is what she's planning, she's got to release Clean as the final single. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Clean will be her best chance to win Song of the Year. Since she likes to be off radio for about a year, release Clean around May and let the song play throughout the summer. August 2016 - July 2017 will be radio silence, and then drop the new single off the new album in August 2017. That's my projection.
  8. AHH!!!!! SHE DID IT!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! She just made history as the first woman to ever win two AOTY. What huge and greatly deserved accomplishment. And the thing is, her best is yet to come. She's not even in her prime yet!! Holy crap my heart my pounding. LOL!!! I'm so proud of her. And what a great speech, great message. Bravo, Taylor. "I want to thank the fans for the last 10 years and the recording academy for giving us this unbelievable honor. I want to thank all of my collaborators who you see on this stage. Mostly I want to thank my co-executive producer Max Martin who has deserved to be up here for 25 years. And as the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people side track you, someday when you get to where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeeling in the world. Thank you for this moment."
  9. I knew Gaga would nail the Bowie tribute! She's such a great performer. This was another plus for her. Next up, the Oscars.
  10. The reports saying she would perform a song that she never did on TV didn't know what they were talking about. She already performed OOTW on the Jimmy Kimmel show. The performance was nothing new for her fans that saw her in concert, which was a lot better.
  11. Number two for Taylor!
  12. Just checked my DVR and you're right, it's 3.5 hours. When I set my DVR a week ago, it only said 3 hours. Well that sucks then that the top Pop category was banished to airing online. What's up with that!
  13. The "lesser" categories are given out before the telecast. But I thought Pop Vocal Album was a televised category - I guess they're cutting out more televised categories this year because it's only 3 hour show instead of the usual 3.5 hours.
  14. Jack Antonoff accepting for Best Pop Vocal Album.
  15. Yes!!! Great start for Taylor. Taylor is the first person to win both Best Country Album and Best Pop Album.
  16. I like it, but I don't love it (yet). I feel like it's to episodic (damn CBS!). I want it to be more serialized like Arrow and Flash. Excited for the crossover though.
  17. If she releases an album before next year's Super Bowl, I think she'll get the half-time show. How was this missed? LOL!!! My bad. I think she's a good choice. Whenever I saw images/videos of Bowie, he reminded me of Gaga with all the weirdness and costumes.
  18. Oscar nomination for Gaga (with Diane Warren, one of my favourite song writers). Things seem to be going up her lately. I hope this upward trend will translate into good music again. Curious to see who she'll work with on this new album.
  19. "Blank Space" on acoustic guitar.
  20. AMC execs are the worst. What a bunch of cheap asses. And it shows with these unnecessary stand-alone episodes and not utilizing half the cast for a handful of episodes a season. Breaking Bad was another very successful show that the execs screwed with due to their cheapness.
  21. Taylor on the electric guitar. I hope she releases more performances from this session.
  22. Loved this video. It's probably my second favourite video from this 1989 era. There's so many beautiful images, and scenery, and landscape (I need to visit New Zealand!). I also love that there's only Taylor in the video. I thought this was cool!
  23. #2??!! I'd be happy with top 5! LOL It's going to need a big first week on Vevo to get into the top 5. The sales aren't going to be there because it was already a promotional single, and people have the album. And I don't see it getting as much radio play as Blank Space or Shake It Off. Top 5 will be amazing for a 6th single. Mary J. Blige posted the "Doubt" performance! I love this song.
  24. I hope she won't do a tour-music-video. If she does one, maybe it'll be for the last single, if OOTW isn't the last one. Still disappointed there's no Red Tour DVD - we just have youtube videos.
  25. When I saw the announcement, I thought of you. I'm glad you got your wish. LOL
