  1. At least they acknowledged Bonnie/Adrienne looking alike *and* that's with JE playing those roles! Even she could only do so much to try to distinguish them - Adrienne was simply 'softer' and Bonnie is just 'brash.' Honestly, those would shades of a single well-form character. Keeping RSW is far beyond one or two people. Actors can get cut at various points during their contract. If he had a minimum guarantee, they would've slotted him to burn through those. If he was problematic behind the scenes, he wouldn't be there. I'm far from a Stan, but, unlike other, RSW does try.
  2. CBS' Daytime line-up is solid, except for TT. TPIR/Y&R are a successful combination. B&B holds it's own, despite following local news and not Y&R in half the country. Despite scripted primetime ratings dropping 10-30% in the past 3 years, Y&R and B&B are flat, which is remarkable. Except for TT, I doubt CBS changes the line-up in the next 3 years.
  3. MM is awesome. Perhaps, they are in contract negotiations. There were rumors back in May that she may not reup when her contract expired. Clearly, Amanda has not been all bad for her - Y&R obviously gave her enough material to work with to get that win. That said, she's been underutilized. MM has that star presence. It's obvious whenever she's on the screen. You can't help but notice.
  4. Oh, Bridget. Yeah, well that never went anywhere fast! Forget the sister part, he was more like a father to her How that ever got past the concept stage is mindblowing. Reconnecting the Ridge, Thomas, Steffy line to Eric, Rick and Bridget just make sense. The story could actually be a good one. I bet the overwhelming majority of viewers would approve. Bonus: it restores Stephanie dignity. The Stephanie 'passing' off a child as another man's concept was illogical.
  5. The whole Marone thing, which was a retcon, should've been undone by now. Just blame it on Sheila messing with the DNA again whether she did it or not. The Marone, unfortunately, are never coming back.
  6. There's been 10 pre-emptions since she started (two planned + 8 news), that certainly has hurt the timing pacing of stories. I'm actually glad they didn't go to trial right away, it allowed TA to interact with a lot of characters and situations. She's done a great job with the material.
  7. Sally2's REAL Mother revealed! Will be curious how KB alters her incredibly distinctive voice. It's all ridiculous compared to the unpunished crimes committed by Taylor, Quinn, Donna, Thomas, etc.
  8. Perhaps, a lot of the big names that have been silent are waiting for September - either the week before or the week of Sept 12 to generate publicity when it actually moves. Few people will remember that launch date six weeks in advance. It was announced like 10 days ago and it already seems like old news with the way news/socials cycles work.
  9. MS is 57 v JT is 45 v SW at 58. MS & SW could recreate scenes from the Maura West era, which would put them around JT's current age, and they'd be more than plausible. Just sayin'
  10. Yep and Taylor's shooting was premeditated! Did they really have to dumb down everyone, so Brooke 'looks' like the smart one? C'mon - Eric, Taylor, Ridge and Steffy know all too well that Sheila isn't dead. The irony being that Brooke is actually supposed to be highly intelligent ('Belief') and, yet, they never allow the character to show that intelligence: 'I don't know why I drank..." or 'I swear it was Ridge, not Oliver,' etc.
  11. Since the 2-year renewal was announced, DAYS produced the Xmas movie and Beyond Salem 2 for Peacock, which obviously cost money. I've always streamed DAYS - with the NBC app or Peacock. NBC also has rarely fully pre-empted DAYS - compared to the other networks - because of streaming. NBC Universal has a lot of data about DAYS streaming patterns. Shows that have big libraries (Grey's) or have open-ended storylines (Manifest) do extremely well on streaming, so maybe all is not lost here. While the over-the-air removal is disappointing to many fans, there must be some financially viable reason why this move is being made. It's not they are 2 separate companies here. I could see DAYS dropping less than 5 episodes a week and actually extending the potential end date. This is shocking to the public, but it's probably not-so-shocking to Sony/DAYS production. It's not like this decision was made out of the blue. I hope it works for the best.
  12. In June, NBC Universal's CEO said that going to end in the 'near' future. Peacock has 13MM paid, Xfinity adds almost 30MM more. We'll see how that works out.
  13. ITA - Whatever unexpected 'magic' BB brought to finish out the run of a dead role can't be rekindled. What makes it nearly impossible is that BB played Jake for 2+ years compared to 6 mos of Stefan. It's also just odd timing doing this on the heels of RSW in a new role. Might as well bring Chris Kositcheck back while Roman goes on a quest to find Adrienne, Princess Greta and Hattie....
  14. Gosh, it took only what 5 episodes to be reminded that $B runs circles around the other B&B men, except Carter, that are continually featured: Ridge, Eric, Lame, etc. DD is a force. While $B can be OTT at times, DD really commands his scenes. I hope they pursue $BLi - like Finn adding a new element to Steffy, Li could do the same for the Spencer clan.
  15. That's a typical B&B plot point because it makes zero sense for Li to visit Steffy and not tell her Finn was alive. None. As far as Finn getting better in Li's apartment v the whole cadre of specialists that could be paid for by the Forresters. If the concern was Sheila, I think there are plenty of real body guards (not Charlie-type) that could handle the job. A better choice - Li/Sheila teamed up to get Finn healthy, but they both had issues with Steffy relying on Liam so quickly, etc. So if Taylor's premeditated shooting of Bill was swept under, will Sheila get the same pass even though it wasn't premeditated? Will Li get to keep her license and freedom, while Sheila goes down?
  16. Perhaps, I'm misunderstood, but didn't Li *choose* to hide Finn because Lame was visiting Steffy or something like that? And wasn't Li's choice to keep this secret the reason Steffy has suffered a mental breakdown? Finn really did win the mother lottery with those two! I'm intrigued by the BLi potential. He's been on sidelines for far too long.
  17. So how many B&B 'days' has it been since Li's swim?
  18. Other than throwing a wrench in Gabi's latest relationship, what's the point? Stefan wasn't *that* memorable and whatever was interesting about him, pretty much got wiped with Jake. Not sure how you even really separate the two at this point - except for the bad Philly accent. Perhaps, Stefan and Abby are recuperating in the same place.
  19. $B: Taylor, shooting me in cold blood was such a power move.... Taylor: I don't even recognize that woman anymore so let's do this.
  20. I will credit B&B for upping the production stakes - outdoor shoot for Quinn, the Li's car crash and the upcoming Monaco remote. It's really the only aspect where B&B is in its own league - no other soap can touch them.
  21. I don't get is the promo video for the week. Why would CBS spoil everything?
  22. Thanks for update! The articles I saw still listed the old time. Way too much chaos and miscommunication! Glad you're on top of it.
  23. After Thursday's hearing (June 23 1PM), no hearings until mid-July. Next week's hearings postponed and then the House goes on hiatus next Friday until July 11.
  24. Ugh. I forgot about that. At least, she wasn't murdered. I still don't get why they kill off important characters like that because the actor leaves. There's so many ways to create an effective exit that allows the remaining partner character to continue, which relates directly to Chad. Like the audience wouldn't buy yet another break-up? Please.
  25. How many times has a pregnant character been killed on daytime? Meaning both the host and the fetus die. I can't seem to recall that combination. I'm sure it's happened - otherwise Ron might be calling this a groundbreaking storyline
