B&B June 2022 Discussion Thread
I'm guessing the writers thought the shock of Sheila showing up at Li's was a bigger 'bang' for the audience rather than adding more scenes that would result in the obvious. Considering B&B's tendency to over-dialogue 'why did I drink???' and repetitive scenes that don't advance the story, it's not a bad call. And, for the record, I totally loved the Mike/Sheila friendship back in the day - especially when Mike spun the blood tests, which was an unexpected twist, because the audience never knew if the results would hold. Further proof that Sheila as a pot-stirrer for a normally bland show works far better than Sheila as psycho.

All: character may be killed off
DAYS should embrace the part-time actors - Port Charles 13-week stories was actually a good idea, but not always executed well. As an hour show, DAYS can embrace something similar - core contract players on for consistency and then have 8- 13- or 16-week contained stories that involve these part-timers. To some extent, DAYS production model already forces odd continuity - cliffhanger than that story isn't seen for 2 or 3 episodes, etc. No death on DAYS matters - it can't with the continually revivals. If neither actor wanted to play Abby, there's certainly enough material to craft a viable split with Chabby - send her off to Boston, etc. Let Chad move forward and, if the character is needed, bring back one of the actors or recast. It's pretty basic soap stuff.

All: character may be killed off
Here's what will really happen: Someone finds a decapitated body wearing clothes exactly like Abby's. No head in sight. Someone has arranged for DNA to prove it's Abby. The reason? Honestly, we don't care about whatever BS reason they give because it'll be forgotten in 2 episodes. I suppose Abby had to fake her death because she uncovered something so big, blah blah blah. BTW - Does Abby have an in with Dr. Rolf? I can't remember. Has Abby visited the men's prison lately or is it a nonbinary prison?

Oh, no, Leo will enter the 'Dr. Marlena Evans Misunderstood Murdering Psycho Rehabilitation Program' and find his destiny with someone like Paul.

ARTICLE: ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’ Return to Monte Carlo for TV Festival
KKL was in horse riding accident last month. I think she had surgery, so she'd definitely be out even if she was supposed to go.

Days summer preview
Are we getting the sense that Cin are exiting for good or a long stretch? I'm assuming RSW's fate is completely up to VK since I don't think she wants to stay. They won't separate them with a baby at this stage.

Bold summer preview
B&B has taken advantage of the promo they do in Monte Carlo to work in a location shoot. Despite B&B's questionable storytelling and repetitive dialogue, B&B is in their own league when it comes to location shoots. The previews actually sound quite balanced and interesting. I like that they're lining up stories for the entire cast. Of course, we get these promises....

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
@janea4old Steffy's memory alone isn't enough to even bring charges. There's so many holes in this story overall, it's comical. So if Sheila's attempted murder of Steffy warrants jail - it's not a life sentence - should Taylor face the same fate? Unlike Sheila where it wasn't premeditated, Taylor intended on shooting $Bill. If that story isn't somehow brought up - even between family members - B&B is really missing the boat for some great story. I'm betting Taylor tells the family to forgive Sheila because: 1) Taylor is guilty of same crime; and 2) Sheila saved her life when she didn't have to.. They could milk this for months when JMW is back.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
Exactly. For example, it's possible Finn had a fatal heart attack, etc. prior to being shot by Sheila. How do they 'know' Sheila killed Finn? Steffy's eyewitness testimony that would never hold up in court? The paramedics that declared him 'dead' but legally someone is *not* dead until its declared and signed off by the coroner, even under natural causes. Charging someone for murder is a meticulous process. This is why B&B has failed in all attempt to do anything crime related. Have they ever had a successful/riveting murder story? That's a basic staple of soaps and B&B somehow can't grasp the concept.

REPORT: B&B: Star Out!
The never before twist with Finn: 1. Cloned - oops 2. A woman - oops 3. Inhabits someone else's body - oops 4. Plastic surgery - oops 5. Believes he's a long-dead character - oops Don't promise viewers and fail to deliver. The story, even with so many missteps, could've stood on its own. The ratings and JMW's performance prove it. Further, KB/Sheila are still riveting - B&B needs to stop writing Sheila as a criminal and keep her as a catalyst.

REPORT: B&B: Star Out!
Like we didn't see that coming ... Li's bizarre appearance, no funeral, no visits from Li while Steffy in hospital, etc. Therefore, Sheila's situation is basically same as when Taylor shot $B.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
YES. To Quote myself from April 3: A better twist: Steffy deciding to team up with Sheila to get Brooke out of Ridge's life forever instead of sounding like a hypocrite. That alliance would've had some real impact when revealed - Taylor, Ridge, Eric, Hope, Liam, Finn, etc. That would also align with Steffy's real feelings about Brooke + Taylor/Ridge. Give us a full-out Steffy v Brooke. It worked a generation ago - and Brooke certainly isn't the same Beta to Stephanie's Alpha now so that could add some real depths and twists to the rivalry.

Perhaps $B could nudge Ridge to choose Taylor because if the family secret - Taylor shooting Bill - got out, Taylor would end up in a cell next to Sheila....

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
Knowing B&B, Eric will not only suffer no judgment, but also his cheating will be rationalized because of 'toxic' Quinn, blah, blah, blah. I had no idea the list was THAT long and, yet, Eric passes judgment on everyone. He needs to be put in his place because if a woman had that track record, she might be called something.... Y&R and B&B May Sweeps Spoilers
Has Li been on since that very bizarre appearance keeping Sheila away from Finn? Certainly, a grandmother/mother-in-law as caring as Li would check in on Hayes and Steffy. Does Steffy know where Finn is buried? Was there an off-screen memorial service or one planned? When Finn is revealed to have survived, could it be with a recast? And if any of the above is close to what really happened, it's been done countless times on daytime.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
Has 'Bad Santa' Eric EVER been faithful to one of his wives? I'm curious because Eric can be one of the most judgmental and sanctimonious characters, yet it sure seems he's just as human as the rest.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
1. Has Li visited Steffy and/or Hayes? 2. When was Finn's memorial service? 3. Where is Finn buried? I thought for sure JMW was going to be bedridden until her leave. She's still bringing it. Does anyone know what B&B's tape-to-air schedule is like now? They always seem to tape closest to air. With last week's announcement that multiple Jan 6 hearings will televised throughout June (both day and prime), I wonder if B&B will focus on a less important story due to the inevitable pre-emptions (partial and full). Of all soaps, they have the ability to adjust the best.

All: character may be killed off
Abigail is a Horton/Deveraux - how many in her family tree, including by marriage, have been 'permanently' killed aka on-screen and returned? Jack and Will come to mind. Others? If Bo is alive, then that's another.

Probably unlikely, but it'd be great if B&B gets a remote out of this.

All: character may be killed off
So sending Abigail to Boston for a few months wasn't an option? Or someone spiking Abigail's tea and having her lose her mind (again)? I guarantee this story will not play well at all. @Wendy when I read the spoiler, I immediately thought of Frankie (AW). Is this Possession-related or is it part of a completely new storyline?

ARTICLE: ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Hits New Season High in Total Viewers With Best Performance Since Pre-Pandemic Originals
It helps that B&B + Y&R weren't pre-empted for soccer like the previous week. There's also been a lot of other partial and full pre-emptions during the past 2 months. This may have been the cleanest week for all soaps in a while.

B&B April 2022 Discussion Thread
That scene was incredibly well done and I'm not one into the heavy, contrived drama. JMW - being very pregnant - pulls off the changing emotions seamlessly. They could've easily defaulted to splitting the scene, but excellent choice in doing it as one long scene. Great camera work and production: KB's reactions and then the quick exchange between TK and KA before she takes over to drop the bomb on Steffy.
