  1. The fact I did not even know this. Whoa.
  2. Except, he's not. 🙈 He's an American voice actor. Couldn't even get an Australian actor. SMFH.
  3. Did, you know, Jack think of calling Phyllis' sister, Avery? That's a thought! Also.. what kind of corner is this they're writing Phyllis into? Is this a potential *out* in case Michelle Stafford doesn't re-up?
  4. Oh yes, the few times Sam McCall had some LIFE poured into her.
  5. You mean fourth. Don't forget the pinch-hitter, Tiffany Daniels, who subbed when Briana Nicole Henry was out with COVID. Back when things weren't as tightly-knit as they are now, and scenes could breathe!!! Ah, I miss those days so much!!
  6. Oh, most definitely, but I do have to suspend belief in that, given continued SORASing in soaps. If only they could have gotten Mishael Morgan to play Jordan. Yes, age-range-wise, she's right in there with Antoine & Harper, but her pull on the material? Woof! Others to consider: Rochelle Aytes: Napiera Danielle (ex-Bonnie, As the World Turns) Daphnee Duplaix (ex-Rachel, One Life to Live) Chaunteé Schuler (ex-Bonnie, As the World Turns)
  7. I hate to say it... but, it's because Ron Carlivati writes for actor over character. The way he writes for Davidson is vastly different from the way he writes for Haiduk, and that, to me, is the true sign of an inept writer. You should always write for character over actor. If the actor cannot handle the material given to them, then either replace them or remove them.
  8. I just think her style of head writing was so special, and wish it could've translated into other soaps. If only she and Stephen Demorest could've co-head wrote As the World Turns following Douglas Marland's exit in 1993, or even sometime in the late 1990s. That would have been magical.
  9. For me, "Max" is too general, and I feel for Cinemax, who've used "Max" in their name for so long. Hahaha. "Warner Max" would've been the right name, focusing on HBO & Discovery-owned programming. And you're right: NBC had it right with "Peacock", because the peacock was also synonymous with NBC's logo dating back to 1956 (ended in 1975 and returned in 1979). Just like the eye has always been synonymous with CBS. It's a missed opportunity, but, like I said, so long as the content is the same (HBO Max to Max), then I am happy, because the film content is top tier, and the quality is amazing. The fact Discovery+ isn't ending is infuriating to me, because they don't want to lose that customer base. Let them go to Max like HBO Max people need to move.
  10. Celebrating 9,000 episodes... by only showing clips from the past, what? Five or so years? Yeah. Nice celebration.
  11. Once they recast Beth I lost interesting in the pairing, so I understand this selection.
  12. Shame Nancy Curlee did not do more post-her time at Guiding Light. Guess she likely felt she didn't want to do anything more than what she did, and I understand that. Just a shame we never got to see her shine on another soap.
  13. Look at that production! Amazing!
  14. We went from the 50° region to 89° with HIGH humidity for two straight days. Yesterday it was comfortable around 69° and now we're back near 50° region with overcast for the day.
  15. Wonder if Dallas is going to Max still. Bobby recast? Whew.... a choice.
  16. I agree. The name-change is cringe, but so long as I get the same HBO Max content, then I'm happy. They honestly would have just done "Warner Max" and it would've served better than just "Max". This would be like if HBO Go changed to just "Go". It wouldn't work. Plus, switching out the black-purple scheme for that... generic-looking blue that so many companies use... a choice.
  17. Thank goodness the humidity is gone for right now... I felt like I was going to just die. Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!
  18. I only wish it were Eileen Davidson's Kristen vs. Miranda Wilson's Megan. I am sure Wilson & Stacy Haiduk will have fire chemistry, but the more fair fight would be Davidson vs. Wilson at the end of the day.
  19. Storms went brunette a few times, and I can say it just compliments her features a bit more. She's always had darker roots show when her blonde grows out, so I'm not surprised she went full-on. I'm sure the blonde will be back by end of the year. 2004: 2007 (more strawberry blonde with darker hues): It's kind of the same thing when Maura West went strawberry blonde for a short-term period of time. When Tanisha Harper trusts the material and just goes with it, she is wonderful! In the beginning who could tell she was reciting in her mind what the script was, but when she is finally in the moment she delivers the material. Plus, to me, she most mirrors the role when Vinessa Antoine was in it. Plus, the face card she serves? Plus, Harper is only two-years younger than Anotine. This comes down to SORASing TJ with the casting of Tajh Bellows, who is arguably the best TJ, and the only one I've enjoyed in the role. But, we have seen closer age-castings in both daytime and primetime prior.
  20. 100%! She has come completely unlikeable. Josh Griffith has completely undone character development to restore Phyllis to an unrootable character.
  21. Oh see, I love the style and colour. So warm. This haircut and colour should never ever return again.
