Greg Rikaart said in his interview that Leo is around for quite a while. In contrast, Chandler implied in his recent SOD interview that WilSon are just here for this Leo arc. Chandler seems genuinely interested in his career in Georgia. He said he can only drop by Days occasionally for short stints, so the show can't really write stories built around Will. My impression is that we'll see Sonny more in the future and for longer stints, and Will for shorter less frequent stints. (But I'm not sure. Just interpreting/guessing.) I'm glad the show is using Chandler's current stint for Will to have scenes with his family. His scenes with Johnny and with Allie are good today.

Casting note: Abdur Wyatt appeared as a worker at Il Giardino on Dec. 29, 2021. The closing credits for week of Dec. 27th said his role was "bartender" and gave no character name. Deacon called the character "Malcolm" and so did the closed-captioning. Malcolm was working when Sheila sneaked in and substituted the bottle of real champagne for the nonalcoholic one, in the box of booze to be delivered to Brooke. He didn't know she had done this as he finished preparing the box for Brooke. SOD says he reappears as the bartender during week of March 14 - in scenes with Deacon and Sheila. Oh! I do remember this face of Frank Ryan, but I didn't pay much attention to actor names back in the 1970s. Garek was such a completely different character! The only Ryan's Hope actor I paid attention to follow as an actor was Kate Mulgrew. I was stoked to see Mary Ryan as Janeway.

I have heard stories that Joe Mascolo chose, as an actor, to stay in character as Stefano the entire time he was in the studio - even between takes - and didn't drop character each day until he left the building - but I don't know if that's true or an exaggerated legend. If it's true, then nobody would have gotten to know him as a person unless he socialized outside the studio.

I know them only as Garek and Kira on Deep Space Nine. I didn't know they were on Ryan's Hope!

Camryn Grimes on the Locher room. He starts the video out saying Camryn debuted on Y&R as "Cassie Copeland". Srsly dude? WTF. Cassie never had the name Copeland. Cassie was raised by Alice Johnson until she was found by Grace for Sharon. Mariah was raised by Helen Copeland and a cult. I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet. I simply turned it on to make sure I had the right link and heard Alan's gaffe. I will watch later.

People magazine doing clickbait for a worldwide total of 17 cases

Lots of actors (both major and minor characters) being replaced by temps during the past year and a half. GH has a short tape-to-airdate gap. It seems like, if an actor is unavailable for any reason (another gig elsewhere, an illness, a family crisis, whatever) - GH just keeps taping with a temp, or they write the character out of the scene. When Kelly M was unavailable in January, they had one of her scenes cut (It was spoiled by the show and the cable guide that Sam would be in a scene with Drew and Scout on a specific day, but that scene didn't air.) Then Sam's very next few episodes were filmed with Lindsay H. as the temp. I guess they couldn't get LH in time for that one episode so they cut the scene? When JPS was taping his other show, they put Valentin in the trunk of a car for a while. It was odd that Valentin wasn't there for the takedown of Peter in Switzerland but JPS was busy, so they filmed without Valentin. When Lindstrom was taping a movie in New York, they had another character say "sorry Kevin isn't here today, he had an emergency with a patient at the hospital" so he must have been written out of the scene. They did seem to be building a Ryan/Esme storyline for a while, then it stalled - probably because Lindstrom was in New York and maybe they didn't want to use a temp for Ryan. Now Lindstrom is back and the Ryan storyline is back.

William Christian said on his facebook in late January (in his replies to various questions/comments on his posts): In reference to when he is airing: "I think I'm on and off into June". He said his home is in Boston and he goes to Burbank to film in chunks (because DAYS films in chunks), and he's shoveling snow in Boston when home. He said the end (of filming) would be coming soon and then he'd need to find work closer to home. He didn't specify what "soon" meant.
