I'm beginning to think Tom worked/works for Sheila/Sugar/whoever in her plotting, and he's not who he appears to be. Well maybe but I don't think Bradley's creative enough to write that well.

Cherie (the new Gabi) seems pretty nice, I've been following her on instagram for months. I haven't seen her acting reels but I think (or hope) she'll do well in the role. (usual disclaimer that I realize I cannot know who anyone is from their instagram persona)

When a poster (such as the one you mentioned) is put on ignore for a reason, I get it, but then nobody speaks out when this stuff is said. Which is what Taby said earlier this month. Sometimes you have to ignore, but sometimes you have to call it out.

I remember him selling private videos and it seemed so sleazy/weird back then; and he was ridiculed as $2BC (some reference to the price or something) ... but nowadays so many actors do onlyfans or Cameo, so I didn't mention it. But egads I didn't know about the slur he said while livetweeting.

I miss the days when every U.S. city had its own independent newspaper, and they each had their own bureaus in most major cities around the world. Not just wire-service reports, but actual reporters from the independent newspapers physically reporting from the other countries. If something was happening in West Africa, the foreign editor of a Midwestern USA newspaper would be located in Lagos, Nigeria, and send in a report from there. We got so much more balanced news that way. Now we're lucky to read a wire-service report from Johannesburg to cover all the news in Africa. I exaggerate, but not by much. The Guardian does have international news, but I don't know where their reporters are physically located. And how many people read the international section of the Guardian website? In the old days, mainstream newspapers (that everyone bought) had international bureaus.

Haven't we all watched Brenda and Dylan on the original Beverly Hills 90210? Hotel room on prom night! Of course that was easier because that prom was in main floor of the hotel, so it was easy for Brenda and Dylan to just slip upstairs to a room. But still, it's such a staple, of course everyone knows why a teen gets a hotel room on prom night.

My cousin was an editor of a smaller regional newspaper for many years, but the paper failed or downsized; and he's been an Uber driver ever since. Sad. He has hobbies and family that enrich his life; but he doesn't have the journalism voice he used to have.

I don't know if you saw what happened with GH, but that same racist twitter account commented about Tabyana Ali at the Emmy's and called her a racial slur that must not be posted here. Tabyana called the person out, and then said a very appropriate statement. Several of the GH cast posted in solidarity with Tabyana. So that racist account has already been in the headlines since June 9. Finally on June 18, the official GH social media accounts issued a strong statement against racism. AND .. the official GH twitter account has BLOCKED the racist account. Frank Valentini has BLOCKED the racist account. Nathan Varni has BLOCKED the racist account. As have Laura Wright, Maura West, Nancy Lee Grahn. etc. and other cast have BLOCKED it and/or retweeted or reposted on instagram the official statement from the GH account. So it was discovered by Yvette Nicole Brown that the same racist tweeter had come after Y&R cast back on May 31, and YNB brought it to the attention of Y&R recently, so that must be when Eric Braeden learned about it, so he responded. It's totally appropriate. That account's name contains GHYRBB so I hope the B&B cast/crew/staff also block it.

Well that incident was 9 years ago. When there was less discussion of the important issues you raised, and what he did was a bigger deal at that time.

I just find Jen Lilley to be way too perky and it grates on me. (sorry I got nothing more than that, LOL). And besides now she says she won't do longterm commitments on soaps anyhow.

I'm not sure. That's why I said I think that's his name, with a question mark.

Ned changed his surname from Ashton to Quartermaine quite a few years ago; and Olivia took the Quartermaine name when she married Ned. Ned legally adopted Leo, so I think Leo's name *is* Quartermaine?
