Did this dumb ass actually kill off Laura? I was able to see most of the episode today, but they interrupted when there was LITERALLY 3 MINUTES LEFT and I couldn't see the ending!!! Why do current soap writers continuously make these stupid mistakes? They have to know how stupid these choices are.

Ehh... I was a teenage boy at the time lol. But despite that, I was still able to see how bad the writing was. I hated that Luke was alone by the finale.

All of this trying to paint Peter as the tragic hero isn't going to work out in the end. This has been dragged out for so long that I have a feeling that the payoff is not going be worth the build up either.

Well, DAYS is sort of the incest soap. Look at Tripp. All of his potential pairings are his step cousins lol So I didn't have a problem with how much Will loved his Uncle Paul IMO, Will/Sonny and Will/Paul were actually pretty similar to Luke/Noah and Luke/Reid. Will/Paul was the better, stronger pairing similar to the way that Luke/Reid were, but in both cases it was the ship (Wilson, Nuke) that ultimately did them in. That fanbase that wanted their first supercouples back together. And isn't it also true that Jean Passanante actually didn't like the character of Reid?

I haven't written Ron off yet either, and I did enjoy a lot of his work on OLTL, GH and DAYS too. But it sort of the same thing with the current GH writers: sometimes they just make a stupid decision that messes up a good story. Susan was not needed this week, and I actually would have liked Ben and Ciara's story had so many characters not been sacrificed for Ben. Instead of outside conflict keeping them apart, the internal conflict (Should I get involved with a serial killer? I'm a serial killer, I'm not worthy of love) would have more than perfect to keep them apart. This guy turned Eve into a Trump girl in order to get fans to hate her, the grieving mother, and support Ben, the killer. Didn't work for me though lol I was Team Eve the whole time. And having Ben be all judgmental of Charlie really pisses me off too lol

I think you're right lol. As much as I like and prefer CW in the role, the character of Nina might just be another addition to that long list of soap opera characters that producers/writers tried to make happen but just couldn't.

I hope they don't botch Nina's story. I'd love to see Cynthia Watros play a villain. Something tells me she'd play villainous Nina a lot better than Michelle Stafford did.

I think it was Dawn on Another World in 1987. She was straight. The story was that a few years before, she had been in a bad car accident and needed a blood transfusion. Her mother, who was a prostitute and who had AIDS but didn't realize it, donated blood and that's how Dawn contracted it.

Paris kicked ass today. The look on Zoe's face when Paris told her she wasn't resigning from Forrester was great to see.

I don't think Linda Dano is doing a bad job as Vivian, the biggest problem is that she comes off as too nice. She plays the subtlety of Vivian really well, but the villainous side of Vivian is lacking, which is surprising because when Felicia first debuted on AW, she was a bit of a bitch and Linda played that really well. (Then again, that was almost 40 years ago) With any luck, that'll change next week when she finds out about Jake and Kate. Speaking of next week, we may want to get our barf bags ready for that special Ben and Ciara Valentine's Day episode lol I do have to admit though, out of the 5 writers that you mentioned, I think that Ron is the best. I know that's not saying much lol but I think he does know how to tell a story. The problem is a lot of stuff gets too silly and too clownish under Ron's pen. I like humor on soaps, but not that campy kind that he can't get enough of. I prefer that kind of snarky, sarcastic, deadpan humor that you get from John Aniston's Victor. He still makes me laugh sometimes. Between DAYS and GH, I'm really starting to hate the word "changed" lol
