Of course Ron Carlivati would work on an episode that involves penis. Don't ever change, Uncle ๐๐๐๐

Agreed. There were a lot of shifts in Season 8, some good, some bad. And I never thought we'd see Eric and Michael brawling ๐

Oh God I hope not. Thatโs so Ron-like lol and itโs been done to death with Sarah already. Plus, it would totally wipe out all the progress sheโs made as a character, under the new team. All that guidance and advice that she gave Sophia would have been for nothing

Marlena and her family were front and center today. I liked how they all came together for Belle's birthday dinner. There were a lot of nice, dorky family moments. And they were able to discuss the things that they've been going through lately, throughout the episode. I'm glad that we got to see Tate's relationship with his little sister as well. I actually kinda like Rachel when she's not awful lol Brady also brought up a lot of interesting points as well, first with Tate and how Tate was dealing with the baby reveal, and his relationship with Holly. And then with Marlena, and how he feels he needs a career change but also wants to keep Basic Black going. Rachel's birthday gift to Belle was really sweet too ๐๐ But, where the hell is Aaron? We found out that he was the father and then he just disappears? We really should be getting his perspective in this storyline, along with Tate's, Brady's, etc. I'm interested in seeing where Tate and Holly go from here as well, especially since Holly turned him down today lol I also enjoyed Maggie and Xander's conversation and that Maggie was able to figure out that Xander was still keeping a secret from her and Sarah. I'm still not sure why they decided to have Maggie and Sarah believe for a while that Xander didn't beat up Philip, especially when they could've gotten just as much drama out of them knowing the truth from the very beginning, but whatevs. The performances make it all worth it. Paul Telfer proved, once again, why he won the Emmy. And I'm really looking forward to his and Sarah's scenes tomorrow.

Thanks! It does kind of seem they're setting that up, even though I really don't want Cat to have a baby lol I'm still holding out hope for Stephanie

Welcome back, Mark! It's been a while. I know people weren't fans of the Greene's but I always liked their dorkiness as a family and I'm curious to see what happens now that Mark is back in Salem, especially after the messiness of last year, both on and offscreen. On the one hand, I'm glad that we were spared something possibly happening between Mark and Leo but on the other hand, I feel like the actor and character got a raw deal and was just collateral damage in Ron's crazy ass determination to prevent Abigail from coming back. But with Ron gone, hopefully things will be different lol Mark going to work for EJ could be really interesting too. I wonder what EJ's mysterious research is going to be about. Even though I'm not a fan of Jeremy being Thomas' teacher, I did like the conversation that they had today about Chad and Cat. Maybe Jeremy playing the peacemaker for Chad and Thomas could end up being the thing that prompts Stephanie to start warming up to him, which would be a much better way to use Stephanie than this whole book thing. And based on Jeremy's final scenes with Alex today, hopefully this means that we're gonna get a good Jeremy/Alex feud too. ๐๐ And yeah, Leo should not be the character that ends up investigating whatever EJ's doing at the hospital. I'm glad Rita threw him out. My hatred for him aside, the character who should be taking on EJ right now is Johnny. There's so much more storyline that can be mined for them and everyone around them if Days had decided to do that. Btw, Wuthering Heights was one book that I never read when I was in school. Does the plot have any similarity to the EJ/Cat/Chad storyline?

I guess it's possible, especially because Holly was at the hospital. Then again, the biological father might decide that he wants custody.

Poor Jacob. But at the same time, I really think Jibre Hordges got a chance to flex his acting muscles today. I'm interested in seeing where he and Naomi go from here.

According to Jason47, only Sarah, Shawn, Alex, Stephanie, EJ and Theo. The newfound intelligence that many characters have had lately continues to impress me ๐ Plus, this is a much better use of Theo than the last time he was onscreen for a prolonged period of time.

Happy Birthday Belle! As much as I liked her and EJ together, I did also like that she had no time for EJ's crap today. But I'm not too sure about moving him into everything that's going on with Sophia though. I know Johnny's his son, but I just don't know. It doesn't feel right. If anything, Johnny should be moved into everything that EJ's doing at the hospital, and try to stop him or something, which could lead to a lot of conflict between the two of them, Johnny and Chanel, etc. I enjoyed Belle's scenes with Marlena as well. I thought Theo was used effectively today, first with Xander, then with Gabi and then with EJ. He seemed to hold his own pretty well with Xander and I wouldn't mind seeing the two of them go head to head over the companies. I also enjoyed seeing him go head to head with Gabi. And the fact that he promised to keep Gabi's secret about the planted bug could lead to something interesting happening. As for chemistry, I think he has more with Arianna than with Gabi though. And I do wonder if his conversation with EJ at the end might mean something somewhere down the line. As for Abe/Paulina, I'm still Team Abe, despite their scenes today. Idk if this was intentional on part of the writers, but it seemed a little like they were trying to make Abe the bad guy. The way he was speaking to Paulina today definitely raised an eyebrow or two lol but I don't think that's going to work though. It's Abe. But I'm really looking forward to seeing this all play out. And, Philip did look hot at the beginning ๐๐

And Sophia passing out would've been a great hook to get people to tune in tomorrow. I liked what we got, but we basically robbed of a lot of beats, mostly Sophia admitting to Aaron that he's the father. The acting wouldn't have been the best lol but I would've loved to have seen that and now it looks we won't. Unless (purely speculation) it turns out that Sophia is faking the breakdown.- Daytime Emmy Awards - Red Carpet Interviews (2025)
So, Giovanni Mazza and Crew Morrow are friends? ๐๐- DAYS: October 2025 Discussion Thread
It was all about Sophia again. I like how everything ultimately came together at the Pub today. We finally got the chance to learn why Sophia did some of the things that she did. And her explanation actually did make some sense to me. I just wish more things had been revealed before Sophia had her breakdown. And that Aaron had been there too. I liked it but it all did feel a little rushed. I don't see why those scenes couldn't have played out for the whole episode. Paula/Jeanne don't seem to be fans of ending an episode with a cliffhanger. But Rachel Boyd actually did a little better than she usually does lol I'm interested in seeing what's going to happen with Sophia and the baby and everything now that she seems to have finally broken down. And while I enjoyed EJ vs. Sarah, it didn't really seem to fit in with the rest of the episode. But I'm glad that she and Brady cleared the air about her knowing the truth about Sophia.- Daytime Emmy Awards Live Discussion Thread (2025)
