  1. Agreed. This is one Ron storyline that the new writers didn’t need to follow up on. If they wanted to pair Xander with someone else for a little while, they could’ve paired him with Gabi. Or even Stephanie.
  2. A lot of dopey people were written very intelligently today. Belle was the perfect example of that lol I'm glad that she had Marlena to vent to though. We're getting a much better understanding of how she's feeling. And that understanding continued in her scenes with EJ. It was a pretty good fight. Belle brought up a lot of interesting points to EJ and it was great to see. I'm also curious to find out if this all results into her career being put in jeopardy or something. I thought MM and DF did a really good job too. Sarah's a dope too but she also seemed a lot more mature, both with Brady and with Xander. I don't mind her and Brady finally sharing a kiss, but I think it shouldn't have been written as such a childish move. She should have actually wanted to do it, not as a way to spite Xander. But Xander deciding to become one of Marlena's patients could be interesting. And I was also impressed by Brady too. His scenes with Gabi where he talked about Basic Black and carrying on John's legacy were really good as well. I still think Paul is the best person to carry on John's legacy but this new writing for Brady has really improved the character. He actually has seemed very John-like recently. And luckily, it's looking like the Bristen ship has finally sailed. 😂😂 Gwen wasn't necessary though. She didn't really have a purpose today at all.
  3. Leo definitely wouldn't be as grating and insufferable if Peter had played him 😂😂
  4. Peter Porte revealed on The Locher Room that he auditioned for EJ Dimera. And for Leo 😂😂😂
  5. I wonder if he'll throw some shade again 😂😂
  6. Agreed, that the vets should be happy. They've earned their happiness. But all the other couples... screw em'. Send them all to hell and back and then do it again. Make them earn their happiness too 😂😂
  7. If I had to pick, I'd rather it be this way. Stephanie/Alex and Javi/Leo may be happy, but they're boring lol Stephanie and Alex need something a lot better than this book stuff. And if we're forced to endure Javi and Leo, they could at least have some good conflict 😂 Xander/Sarah and even EJ/Belle are the ones that have really been keeping my interest lately
  8. Glad to see Belle sticking to her guns lol But I still hope that there's one last twist in the Who Shot EJ mystery.
  9. Looking forward to EJ/Belle and the trial. Btw, despite the Leo of it all, are we getting a new gay character?
  10. Finally, Marlena's in court. And now that Johnny filled her in about EJ and Belle, hopefully that leads to her having a bigger part in this part of the storyline. Her POV is needed a lot more. I liked how she comforted Johnny, and then Belle. This is such an effective way to use Marlena. IMO, this is exactly what she/DH needs in the aftermath of John's death. I expected EJ's motion for a mistrial to be denied, especially because of all the other conflicts of interest in this case lol but I'm curious to see what happens next. Hopefully, his and Belle's confrontation at the end continues on Monday, or at some point next week. And now that Belle has declared that their relationship is over, I want to see if she's going to keep her word... or fall back into bed with him again... or with somebody else 😂😂 And I do like how Xander didn't have much time for Gabi's crap, but I enjoyed their conversation. They hit a lot of important beats about Xander's relationships with Victor, and with Sarah. And while I enjoyed the whole confrontation between them and Brady/Sarah, I felt like Lindsey Godfrey played it a little too silly at some points. Luckily, Xander/PT balanced it out. And yeah, Chad/Cat still do nothing for me.
  11. I hope they take this route, or at least have Belle accuse EJ of doing that. The aftermath of that could be a nail in their coffin, as a couple. And the more that that's get it built up, it could lead to something explosive happening. All the more reason that I want Marlena to flip out on her 😂 Thank you! 😊👍 But I guess I need to brush up on the FOIA 😂😂 As for Belle, MM said we were going to enjoy the writing for Belle, and I'm glad she was right. I did think Ron was interested in her character too. Fired Guy was the one who was responsible for Belle disappearing all the time, I think. But it all just feel more mature now and layered. Instead of Belle being so subservient to EJ or getting into campy bitchfights defending him, she's holding her own, even though she can't stay away from him. I like the mess of it all.
  12. Welcome back, Anna! It was nice seeing her interact with Tony, even though I'm not really a fan of this whole Stefano thing. But considering the way that Tony was written in those scenes, I can't help but think that the theory we've been speculating about is actually true. It doesn't seem very Tony-like. The court scenes were once again the best part of today. I didn't expect Johnny to testify on his own behalf, or that Belle was going to get him to admit the truth about Sami's rape. As annoying and dumb as Belle gets sometimes, I do like seeing her in lawyer mode. To me, it shows that there's a lot more interest and a lot more depth being injected into her character. And now that EJ dropped the bomb about his and Belle's relationship, I wonder where they and everyone else are going to go from here. Hopefully, Belle finds a shoulder (Shawn's) to cry on. The only thing that this storyline seems to be missing is Marlena's part in it. We should be seeing what the effect of her daughter prosecuting her grandson is doing to her a lot more than we have been. It could also be tied into the dreams that she's been having. And, Johnny looks good in a suit too 😂 I thought Steve was used very well today too. It's a welcome change because I felt like the new writers didn't have much of an interest in him. I like that he confronted Alex about his criminal past. Alex's explanation was a little stupid, but I hope that it leads to something interesting happening. Btw, I kind of like the idea of Steve using the Freedom of Information Act to learn more about the Dimera takeover. It feels more realistic than what we've seen before. And yeah, I still don't know why Chanel isn't in court to support Johnny. It doesn't make much sense to me.
  13. I see Chase and Michael still have that chemistry 😉😂😂 As for the baseball stuff and everyone involved in it… remember a few weeks ago when I made that comment about this [!@#$%^&*] not being sustainable anymore 😂😂😂
  14. Shut up, Belle. I understand her mindset about Sami and why she's choosing to check into the Salem Inn, but she annoyed me a little today. Her venting all of that to Tate was a bit of a surprise but I didn't mind it. It's nice seeing that family connection onscreen and I liked how she helped him reach an understanding about Sophia. Even though Sophia is totally in the wrong and her actions still don't seem to make a lot of sense considering what we saw onscreen. There needed to be a much stronger reason for her to have done what she did. And yeah, Melinda's reasons for being a part of this mess still are making her look kinda stupid. But I do like that Tate is having second thoughts about having given the baby up for "adoption." He seemed a little smart lol and despite the Leo of it all, I'm glad that Tate finally did get to meet his son in the end. The court scenes were the best part of today. I do enjoy seeing Belle and EJ go head to head, and Paulina's call from the attorney general about Belle adds another interesting dynamic to this storyline. In spite of the flaws in all of this, I feel that it's still being written in a much stronger way than it previously would have been. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next.
  15. Yeah... I don't know about Hayley faking her pregnancy. Even with Dani and the Duprees still interfering in her and Bill's lives, there doesn't seem to be any reason or motivation for her to do this. I hope we get a good reason for her decision soon because at this moment, it just feels a little like anti-Hayley propaganda. They should've had her be upset about Bill being the Dupree's fixer again, and eventually have her cheat with Derek or something. And yeah still... #FreeAndre 😂😂
  16. That awkward moment when Dr. Buckingham becomes Doug III 😂😂
  17. From what I've read, they became good friends after Pat started working at Cory. I think she was the one that Mac confided in when he was sterile, which upset Rachel.
  18. Yep. Sarah was an adult when Lindsey Godfrey was in preschool 😂😂 I think it's time for Melissa to come visit her sister 😂
  19. Today was a bit of a misfire. But I did enjoy the situations that both Sarah and Xander were involved in. I'm glad that each had someone to talk about their separation. Sarah and Marlena actually work well together, and I wouldn't mind her being a part of whatever's going to happen to Marlena, especially if they're going there with her and Brady. And, we got mentions of Mickey and Neil too. And I like that Xander had an idea as to what Gabi was trying to do. It was nice seeing him be so smart. I'm curious to see where he's going to go from here. I did feel a little bad for him after he confronted Sarah about her hugging Brady. Everything else was... mehhhh And yeah, I think it's time to kill Susan off. She has so many connections on the canvas, and yet adds absolutely nothing to it. At least, you'd get good drama from EJ, Johnny, etc. from that happening.
  20. Dedicated to all those clowns on B&B 😂😂😂
  21. Jeez, can Gio and Emma kiss already?? They’re approaching Sprina levels. I am interested in Brook Lynn not being ready to adopt a child yet and the potential conflict that it could cause for her and Chase though. It could be good. But I’m not sure about this whole “WSB is the worst job ever” thing that Anna was basically saying today. It seems strange to add this feeling into GH after 45 years
  22. I’m a little surprised King Mo hasn’t ordered his loyal peasant Frank to hire him back on GH. I thought he loved BC
  23. Welcome back, Samantha Gene! It was too bad that they couldn't get Ali Sweeney back for John's memorial, but Marlena and Sami's scenes today made up for it. They were beautiful. The apology to John (with flashbacks) was a long time coming too. And I'm glad that Sami also got to have scenes with Johnny. I like how she comforted him over everything that he's been going through. It was similar to the way that Marlena comforted her just a little while before that. And it was really nice to see. I have mixed feelings about the reasons why Sami isn't going to be in court supporting Johnny though but considering Ali's schedule, I guess they had no choice. And, welcome back JJ too. I wish the new team would invest more in his character. There's still a lot that they could do with him. A lot that doesn't involve him just being a possible spoiler for Chad and Cat. And I don't think that the ship has sailed yet for him and Gabi either. They dress him very well too 😂😂 Chad and Cat in the elevator did nothing for me though. And making Julie the bad guy in that situation seems a little Ron-like. Luckily, her and Marlena's talk about grief overshadowed that.
  24. Agreed. There are some things I’m not liking, but I still prefer this over Ron’s work. It feels more like Days of our Lives again
  25. Great post @j swift It seems we were also spared a potential Gabi/Alex pairing too, which I think was a very good choice to make. And, I also think Doug III being written out suddenly was a pivot as well.
