How old are Ashley and Derek supposed to be? If she's a new nurse, are we thinking just out of college - like mid-20s? If so, Derek having roommates in a big city isn't strange or a red flag. Especially as a fireman... he's used to being around guys already at work like a frat house, and they aren't highly paid as entry-level firemen.

Ohh now that would have been fun to watch - a Greg/Dixie pairing! While I missed Tad so much during this time, I remember really being secretly in love with the Dixie/Craig pairing. I know he was a bad guy, but they were really hot together I thought. I'll never forget this scene and thinking wow, this Michael Bolton song just put me on another level! Hahaha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9UD_NvcKn8 https://youtu.be/Z9UD_NvcKn8?si=pw38_lIE5shocZKt ETA: Well, I clearly don't know how to embed YT videos here haha - but hopefully the link works for those interested!

Very refreshing to take a break from Dani/Bill and that storyline. I like Kat, but damn she had no reason to be such a bitch out of nowhere to Eva. I guess this will be her personality. I loved seeing Eva meet Ted already! That was impactful. Great seeing a new day and other characters' storylines today!

I thought the press conference was sort of silly. They're trying too hard to excuse Dani and let her go free and it's just too unbelievable... I almost wished they just did away with the live stream because it ultimately didn't help or change anything in the end. Nice seeing Sara Bibel's name again! I remember thinking she was one of the better script writers at AMC back in the day! Today was probably my least favorite episode so far, but I'm still excited to see what comes!

BTG: February 2025 Discussion Thread
I haven't actively watched a daytime soap opera since AMC was cancelled, which at the time of my life was the saddest end of an era for me because I had been a faithful watcher since 1991. On the other hand, it brought a much needed hour back in my day because I was starting a new career in a new city and I started a new relationship. I had already stopped casually watching ATWT when that got canceled, and OLTL no longer held my interest at the time, so AMC was all I had left. Fast forward 11-12 years later and to hear a new soap was debuting, I was shocked and intrigued. I didn't really have hope given where we are in today's world of modern day soap operas, but I decided to check it out this week just to see... and I'm very happy! So much potential and it has been very entertaining so far. Yes, some actors are green, and I actively had to google character lists/family trees to keep everyone straight throughout the week haha, but otherwise I think we have a successful show on our hands if viewers will tune in! Dani, while so over the top, is very entertaining to me. I think soaps should be a little over the top, so I don't mind it. Leslie and her storyline is juicy and I can't wait to see how that unfolds. Nicole is smart and I love the actress that plays her. Anita and Vernon are royalty and perfectly cast in those roles. I think Naomi is strong and interesting. I can't wait to see how some of the other storylines outside of Dani/Bill/Hayley turn out. I haven't experienced a real-time Friday cliffhanger in so so many years and it was like being a kid again! Haha, I can't wait for Monday! I do agree though, if that turns out to be a daydream, I won't be happy.

I've enjoyed reading your recaps and going through your first time journey! It makes me want to go back and rewatch that era. I started as a kid around that time so my memories are very faded until about 1991 when I was REALLY into the show with Natalie in the well and Wildwind. But... how dare you say "that trash Dixie"! She's one of my favorites, and Tad/Dixie will always be my favorite couple of all time! Hopefully your mind changes haha.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It is subtle, but it still does... the "Hills" have eyes... the Beverly Hills (people within). The new opening does look good though - leaning into the LA sunset palm look.

I can't tell if I hated or loved last night's NYC episode. I keep going back and forth in my mind...
