Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
I think Leslie Woods wins this category, having worked in soaps from the radio era all the way up to 2001. She also appeared in three out of the big four nighttime soaps (no Dynasty) and her penultimate role was (fittingly) in Nurse Betty. Maybe he could appear in the final episodes of both, like he did on OLTL.

GH: Classic Thread
I suspect not. What I wonder about, though, is what was going through Gloria Monty's head during this time. According to Waggett's Soap Opera Encyclopedia, she was fond of having a successor right on the heels of the departed. By the time Luke was gone for good, Robert was the leading man. With Robert and Holly gone, was she pushing for Frisco and Felicia as the marquee couple, or was it always in the cards to bring Robert back? I know Anna was intended for Dr. Buzz before clicking with Duke.

All My Children Tribute Thread
If I'm not mistaken, The Chateau was introduced in 1970 as Nick Davis' place. I want to say it was gone for good after the gas pipe explosion in 1987 (?). Nevertheless, the Chateau lived on into the '90s in at least one corner of fandom -- it was the "location" of the "How to Host a Murder" party game. Now, when did The Goalpost disappear? Just prior to the Chicken Shack showing up?

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
If nothing else, I hope Susan and Roya at least met. Maybe Susan could have jokingly told her the Rosemary Prinz, "Don't get stuck here," story. Were AMC and Loving at the same studios?

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Queen of the Night always make me think of Whitney Houston's outfit from The Bodyguard. Slightly fitting, considering how Roman and Marlena met. Anyway, I doubt they'll go this route, but it'd be interesting to find out the people of the night were a bit cult-ish and they haven't forgotten their queen.

Carl, I'm curious -- is it the execution (i.e. performances) of that certain episode? If so, I'd agree.

Primetime shows that were cancelled too soon
The two brothers idea is interesting. I wonder how it would have played in Dallas' heyday, before the self-parodying last few seasons. I'm really glad to know Seth ended up being memorable. It was a real buzzkill watching the episode and realizing he did nothing. Oh thank goodness, it *is* the Tate house. I thought my eyes were tricking me.

Primetime shows that were cancelled too soon
It seems to me ABC was throwing out the baby with the bathwater, especially since Going Places was a one season wonder. Plus, where else was Just the Ten of Us going to fit? After Growing Pains?

Primetime shows that were cancelled too soon
At one point, Just the Ten of Us' Wikipedia page heavily implied it was cancelled due to network politics. ABC wanted to have Miller-Boyett as sole producer of TGIF's programs. The discussion points exist, albeit toned down, for the page about Going Places. I'd love to see more of Good and Evil, Witt Thomas Harris' five-episode flop from 1991. In her autobiography, Teri Garr wrote it was pitched to her as a satire of what we'd now call the 1 percent. That satire kept getting watered down as production continued. Plus, Lane Davies and Susan Harris' dialogue is a match made in heaven. (fast-forward to 7:50)

For you, SoapDope: Although Julie has the most to do, I actually think Jill Talley steals the sketch with her take on Jan Hooks as Carlene.

So, Tuesdays at 9:30* starting, oh, March 6**? *I have a hunch The Mayor won't be around for much longer. **After the Olympics, with opportunities to plug the show during the Oscars. Nine straight weeks, incidentally, would have the season ending on May 1.

I don't know if Evie was so much pissed as she was shy. The photos taken ended up being used for the "Women to Watch" contest. Evie was finalist no. #9: I had a funny moment a few weeks ago with Teri Eoff (Suzy, seen primping in the screengrab). I totally forgot that for a few years, she was the adult female hostess of the Mickey Mouse Club re-reboot.

That was the first thought that came to my mind, too. I guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
