  1. Yes. Are you new? We've been roasting Easton for over a decade.
  2. He's one of the best kid actors they've had in a very long time, they're lucky he still shows up.
  3. They're not putting a serial rapist back on the frontburner. And I honestly doubt if ABC cares if Howarth stays these days. Frank yes, the network no.
  4. They cared because executives have changed and times have changed since Todd was around (and since Luke was around). #MeToo is a thing now. And would they bend over backwards to get aging Geary back on contract? I'm not so sure. If you want Todd back just say it. That's your prerogative. But it shouldn't happen and It's not going to.
  5. They didn't make any 'deal,' John. They said they don't want Todd the serial rapist from a completely different soap opera coming back to star on General Hospital. That is not the same thing as ever hypothetically seeing Luke, the hero of the supercouple who saved GH, again someday, a character whose past with rape was dealt with onscreen almost 25 years ago and which did not largely dominate the character's narrative.
  6. Maybe, maybe not. But Luke of Luke and Laura is not Todd the serial rapist from a different TV show.
  7. He was the hottest man on that show at that time - period. They moved him away from Carly because of the color of his skin and dumped him on Alexis who, I'm sorry, but her best years were behind her long ago. I've loved Nancy on GH a lot in good times and bad. But pairing him with menopausal Alexis was done to neuter a Black man. Shawn as a character never went much of anywhere interesting but fans have noted for years that it is a bad look that he's been rotting away in prison for Sonny. Maybe they intend to rectify that, but I won't expect much for the character or any Black folks on GH.
  8. These were my #1 suspicions, yes. Executive turnover and growing unease over the modern climate.
  9. Yeah, he was better a year or so ago. He's picked up some bad habits. But he's still talented. The kid playing Jake got so big. I didn't recognize him.
  10. It never escaped me that many DS personnel went on to work on Agnes' shows, specifically OLTL with Russell and Hall. Peter Miner also directed at both DS and OLTL. I believe Henry Kaplan did at least one other soap if not many.
  11. So they really let Lipton go off contract and didn't pair him with Trina, but he's still playing opposite that confused girl playing Joss? Interesting choices.
  12. I should add there are people like Daniel Dale who I feel are hardworking and operating in good faith who do critique the Biden team's POV on the bill. He says there are many things wrong with it or dangerous about it that it seems odd to focus on the optional time change. But I feel that is missing the forest for the trees - if it is 'optional' to close the polls at 5, GOP officials are going to do it every time.
  13. The GOP is going to keep eating shít on this, and they should. Meanwhile:
  14. The article notes the network evidently didn't like Franco either bc of the same reasons, yes. But Todd doesn't work either anymore as a romantic lead, and I was a huge fan of Todd for a long time. Any show (GH, OLTL, whatever) that would hypothetically deal with that character would have to stay away from him for years before dramatically changing how he is used in future years, and I really don't know how that would look. But you can never go back to a soap opera where a major umbrella plot axis is a serial killer or two rapist twin brothers.
  15. They're facing an existential crisis about how they really don't want to be forced to report on these voting laws despite Biden going at them full force with no equivocation, and they would really rather bothsides this issue because they have many Republican friends, sources, bosses, etc. The public isn't with them on the false equivalence, though.
  16. They'll fold on SALT, IMO.
  17. I believe part of the restructuring and reassembly of that board or what not is in order to remove DeJoy.
  18. They need to learn! She's not playing!
  19. wrong thread
