  1. The closest they got was a couple weeks ago where Nathan flubbed chain of evidence on a random case. That was a clear signpost. But that's it. Tiresome.
  2. It's his diabolical counterpart and longtime rival agent: Fresno.
  3. Thanks for this.
  4. Why does Valentin keep saying Brennan being exposed will 'exonerate me?' They were both the heads of Pikeman! Brennan scapegoated him to stay out of Steinmauer but Valentin was guilty!
  5. I don't care about the breakdowns, lol. I'm just saying I thought it was a decent sequence.
  6. I can see it coming from her as her imagining her enemy capitalizing on her weakest moment.
  7. Lucas would be the closest, and that's pretty shaky atm. Jason qualifies but I just don't need any more of them together right now. And yes, Sonny and Carly both feel profoundly adrift. Jason would too still if not for the Qs.
  8. I did think the sequence was good at least, unlike a lot of them. Hayley's lines were indeed straight out of the Kristen DiMera playbook, and Marquita sold it beautifully.
  9. That is actually something I will blame Ron for. He used to use that one a lot, straight out of the JER school. I grew to hate it.
  10. Ashley is much improved opposite a seasoned actor. Jen Jacob was working those scenes like she knows this is her last shot at getting paid twice a week lol. She and Jordi did have chemistry and the dialogue was decent, I'll give it a whirl. I swear Carlton's crazy-ass beard grows like a Chia Pet in anxious situations. It sprouted wild in like 2-3 episodes.
  11. I feel like we see Michael with his paste eating child at least as much as any soap parent, probably moreso because Frank loves having these kids around all the time. Unless they're Liz's.
  12. Imagine it going off while he's hitting it with that hooker! Deep in the weeds!
  13. They appear to have forgotten Vaughn exists, so it is about time for him to turn out to be evil, die or both. Another Eden McCoy success story.
  14. Drunk, volatile Nicole was the most relatable I've found her in quite awhile. Frankly they should've let those scenes be with Kial Rollins. I want to see that side of her as opposed to the serene earth mother more often, and I want to see it with Greg Vaughan. I also liked Anita openly critiquing the myth of 'the Duprees.' It was very interesting how they contrasted Nicole's minor crashout with Dani and Andre coping maturely while blissfully in love. You compare that to a little over a year ago where Dani was binge-drinking and passing out daily.
  15. I see they've cast yet another obviously evil dayplayer with this WSB guy to spice things up in the cold fusion story I was just complaining about. I'm sure that'll make all the difference in a story populated largely by recurring players, randos, Valentin (also recurring) and Britt. Laura Wright is not getting paid enough to shoulder this on the Valentin end. I even feel bad for Steve tbh.
  16. That's my concern as well. But yes, I would like to see Lucy work against Sidwell and possibly get herself in over her head marrying him while trying to secure the bag for Deception. Then you can have some fun with Lynn, Carlo Rota and Maura playing off each other before he gets nixed in hopefully swift order, and Ava can get a new power base from sifting through the ashes. I just don't care about this cold fusion plot when it spins largely around Britt and Nathan. Every time they cut back to her talking to one of the villains or Brad I zone out. (I would try to save Adrian Anchondo and Marco, who they have rapidly turned into just Sidwell's lurking stooge - now that Brad is back they obviously want him and Lucas back together as I feared, and want to 'prove' that Sonny and Jason were right to abduct Marco in the first place so Lucas can do the inevitable Sonny/Carly apology tour in 6-12 months.) I do think Sidwell's Wife did well in those court scenes last week, but she's terrible at anything else.
  17. Like, why do that to yourself? I cringed hearing it again the other day. Once was enough. I do find Cody and Molly juvenile, and once again I blame Infomercial Molly and the tired character in general lol.
  18. I'm just happy that very talented kid went on to quickly star on Broadway in a hit show (albeit a bad one) and swiftly come out. I think Howard is serviceable and has a nice body and some talent, but I think he's too interchangeable among the current mix already on GH to go there. If I was FV I might go after Bowers or Emily O'Brien, but it is a pity DAYS will lose her. And I guess Johnny - I did find that story with him and E.J. compelling despite Johnny being such a himbo.
  19. I actually really liked Tracy's cocktail hour with the family. (I don't know if Edward actually officially had one onscreen as she claimed, though they sure did drink in the study or wherever a lot.) It was vague shades of the old Abbott breakfasts on Y&R. They should do these kind of group Q tradition scenes more often, and Michael, etc. should warm up to it more. Jason can bring a beer!
  20. I think GH could use Emily O'Brien tbh.
  21. Nina was a priority for Mulcahey, because he clearly liked Cynthia Watros (I can't recall if he ever wrote for her at GL) and I suspect Drew/Nina was his endgame in that mother-daughter triangle. The relationship and understanding between them was being built and was given a lot of focus. Korte hates Nina and the old/new team generally has other priorities, so she's an afterthought now. Would I trade losing the Drew/Willow saga and Willow's ongoing metamorphosis for PM's original plan? Maybe not, but I wish there had been a best of both worlds situation.
  22. I remember @carolineg (hi caroline! we miss you in the GH thread) telling me Tate and Holly were one of the younger set she would keep not long ago. They were appealing enough to watch during the various memorial/anniversary months last year, even if as a lapsed fan this last decade-plus who only looks in on the show occasionally I barely understand who tf they are. I do like Chanel and Johnny, well, Johnny has nice nipples. Given my casual viewing I can hardly dispute @Errol if he feels DAYS has largely survived by luck since the Peacock move. I just figured they were more secure after the last few years and the latest renewal, and tbqh I am so used to these recurring Corday purges of the wrong cast while not overhauling the larger show (which is actually necessary, and which Corday will never do) that I was kind of numb to it. But it's clear the budget is at the bottom. And you're all right that they should've much more massive changes to the show long ago. I see a lot of worthwhile potential in it still when I've tuned in off and on for weeks at a time in the last year. Unfortunately they're once again firing a ton of it.
  23. They've got much bigger priorities than Cady's side character atm. I still suspect they probably planned to tie off the Carlton thread gradually like this before she got more serious with Kial Rollins. Even when he first appeared you still had some folks on social media moaning about Nicole not going for thirsty Carlton instead. I do agree it's past time to see GV again though, and that Carlton is deeply dull. He's a planned obstacle IMO.
  24. We all said DAYS was on its last legs when it moved to Peacock. That was four years ago. It currently has a 2-year renewal. I am never counting it out at this point. I just think this is typical Corday churn and burn through people, some of which they will inevitably bring back off and on. It's too bad this show can never find more stability. Leo Howard could hypothetically do well at GH as Cameron or something, but he's too similar to some of the young men they already have or could have.
