  1. Really? I hadn't noticed that, but then I have a rather small TV set.
  2. Who was the longest-running "Dancy" - both character and actor? Frank Telfer as Luke Dancy? How many Dancys were there - and which year was the family introduced? Was it '75 or '76?
  3. Have HG and MG done commercials since saying that? I'd guess no for MG, seeing as he's largely left the acting arena. You'd think Helen would be in demand for commercials during the RH era, seeing as she was playing such a strong maternal figure.
  4. Thanks for sharing!! Is it OK if I send the anniversary photo to Sharon Gabet? She posts a lot of vintage photos on her FB page.
  5. La Lucci's still got it! What year was that article from? I'd say either '78 or '79.
  6. Thanks so much for posting the feature on Judith McConnell. Outside of SB, I've only seen her on some episodes of AW posted from 1980 and some recent commercials (she was the pedicure lady in a recent Walgreen's ad). I've never seen her work from ATWT and haven't seen many interviews from her in general. She's still as beautiful now as she was back then.
  7. Possibly. About all I know about the character is that one of the actors who played him was Larry Joshua, the future (and now former) husband of Sharon Gabet on EON.
  8. The "Laurel Falls" wedding location is absolutely stunning. I can see why it became one of GL's most beloved nuptials. How long after this was Kristen Vigard replaced as Morgan? Didn't the new actress come in right after the honeymoon? Speaking of Kristen Vigard, watching these clips makes me think how she wouldn't have been cast on a soap by today's standards when she was a teen. For one, she actually had some meat on her bones. She also had very freckly skin - not at all uncommon among redheads like herself. But she also had that incredible red hair, sparkly eyes and personality. That was back in the day when casting directors actually looked for talent, charisma and training (KV was a seasoned stage actress/singer from childhood on) as well as looks. Those days are gone forever, sad to say.
  9. Thanks so much for posting those!! It's interesting - both Sherry Mathis and Rod Arrants wed their respective spouses in the summer of 1979 (Sherry on June 30th and Rod on August 18th), and both the Mathis/Lanning and Arrants/Estrin unions ended in divorce in 1992. About the YT clip, I don't know the story either - but I love Maree's hair!!!
  10. Indeed. Does anyone know what Lisa Brown is up to these days?
  11. From what I read (Wikipedia, so take that for whatever it's worth), Doris Quinlan was EP of TD from 1979-81. Kathy Glass played MJ Match from 1978-81.
  12. Boy, Jerry Lacy sure couldn't shake the Bogey image, could he? LOL Seriously, I've heard a lot of great things about Mr. Lacy from one of his wife's Newhart co-stars, John Voldstad (the blond Darryl). He described him as a devoted husband and father who hung out a lot on the golf course with some of the Newhart male co-stars: Bob Newhart, Peter Scolari and Tom Poston. Jerry Lacy even wrote the second to last Newhart episode, which featured another former soap star, Randall Edwards (Delia #2, RH) as a friend of Stephanie's who is even snobbier than she is. LOL I look forward to reading the rest of the article. Thanks for sharing it!!
  13. Thank you so much! I just wish there was footage of his DAYS days out there.
  14. Me, too. These days she is focused on her music career. You can find her songs on iTunes and the like.
  15. Thank you so much!! I would sure love to see that QE2 story in its entirety, as well as the beginning of Liza and Travis. That would be awesome.
  16. Thank you for posting these. I'm a fan of Kristen Vigard, so I enjoy seeing these clips.
  17. Interesting. How long did SOD do the "Star Desk" column?
  18. I'll have to check them out, thanks!
  19. I think it's a shame ATWT never brought Lisa Loring back when Billy turned up in Oakdale in the early 00s. Does anyone know if she was even asked?
  20. He was Nikki's husband between Greg and Victor, right?
  21. Yes - there are fewer roles in the history of primetime TV more sympathetic than Dr. Kroger!!! LOL You can also always tell the article is from the 70s if it has anything to do with women's rights, etc. Nancy Lee Grahn has carried that mantle from the mid-80s on.
  22. I thought I heard she was fired, but I could be wrong.
  23. I'd never seen a Peter Reckell ATWT episode, either. Very cool.
