  1. Yes, it is. It is a yellow cover, and other soap stars of the day on the cover are James Mitchell and Joel Crothers. Thanks!!
  2. Hey Carl, do you have the article with Virginia Vestoff from 1971 called "The Doctors' Loss is Dark Shadows' Gain"? Since we are on the cusp of seeing her in the reruns of TD on Retro TV, I would love to read that interview. Thanks!!
  3. I know! Opel??? Did the character turn into a German car at some point? LOL
  4. Always happy to provide a smile. Ilene sure was (and is) tiny but what a scrapper. I think my favorite fight scene she had was with Cali Timmons when Delia and Maggie were fighting over the Coleridge jewels (Delia had stolen the real gems with glass). They were about to really get into it when Roger's butler came in and simply carried Maggie out of the room!! LOL
  5. What do you think of the new opening/font? I don't like it. I didn't think anything was wrong with the old one.
  6. Maybe the WWE reference meant a Mary/Siobhan fight? Delia/Mary? Delia/Faith? Delia/Jill? Delia/Maggie? Delia and...you get the point. LOL
  7. I love that Christmas ad. That's beautiful.
  8. In today's second episode, we get the moment that Carolee (and fans of Carolee and Steve) have been waiting for - after dancing to Sly & The Family Stone's "Dance to the Music"!!!
  9. What a great find!! Look at PSM - what a glamour babe!!!
  10. Around what year did the networks start to phase out those special afternoon movies?
  11. Ike Turner was the first episode of the new season. DJ Quik is on tonight.
  12. Today we get our first glimpse of Dr. Simon Harris.
  13. Cool! What year was that from?
  14. Charita Bauer was one brave woman - facing amputation in real life had to be bad enough, but doing it again in character? God bless her. I don't think I could have done it.
  15. Thanks!! Plus, he looked exactly the same when he recurred as a judge on the original L&O in the 90s.
  16. That makes sense - and they truly were identifiable!! We see them as much as the stars. By the way, Nurse Wheeler had a couple of lines in today's first episode.
  17. I guess the reason why he originally left depends on whose version you believe. This 1976 article states that Irna Phillips fired him: https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1346&dat=19761017&id=9O4vAAAAIBAJ&sjid=wvoDAAAAIBAJ&pg=4883,5013667&hl=en According to this 1978 article, he left to try his luck in Hollywood: https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1876&dat=19781104&id=EIYsAAAAIBAJ&sjid=rs0EAAAAIBAJ&pg=6032,824585&hl=en
  18. Wow, I never knew Fred Scollay was on GL.
  19. I saw that episode!! Finally breaking out of the doctor mold, he played an FBI agent.
  20. What makes these episodes so fun to watch is that it's obvious that this was a very close-knit cast (as Sharon Gabet has confirmed in interviews the past couple of years). Many EON cast members are still good friends today and have reunions when they can.
  21. Rod Arrants still speaks the world of Sherry. He loved working with her, and they remained the best of friends until she passed in 1994.
  22. She looks familiar but I don't know her name.
  23. Speaking of Alice, my latest autograph success came today in the form of the second Alice - Susan Harney. Ms. Harney is now once again living in her hometown of Murfreesboro, TN. She autographed a screen cap I took of her in character (the scene where Alice is in her house remembering the fire), and added a very sweet handwritten note. I'll get the images off to Carl as soon as I can.
  24. It seemed like his personality didn't mesh well with the industry's strongest women (Agnes Nixon, Gloria Monty) for whatever reason.
  25. You're welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing this Dr. Simon Harris (I figure he'll play in the Althea story), and further down the line another black doctor comes to Hope named Hank Iverson.
