  1. See, that would have made sense - hence why they recast a European princess with an American Valley Girl!! 😝
  2. Not to mention why DAYS' Don Craig never returned after mailing that letter. Then you have the original forgotten kid, AMC's Bobby Martin.
  3. It's not as that's never happened before on soaps. 😉😂
  4. I just saw an episode from Season 7 called "The Rig", which featured Philip English (currently airing in Retro TV's rerun cycle of The Doctors) as a foreman in an offshore oil rig in Australia. Blake, Alexis and Ben were there to check it out when the rig exploded. The episode also featured Karen Cellini as Amanda. It bears repeating...what were they thinking? They should have just written Amanda out after Catherine Oxenberg left. She took me right out of her scenes.
  5. You do incredible work. Your researching skills are great. Have you ever thought of writing a book on this topic?
  6. AW debuted in 1964. Ada and Rachel (CF and RS) came on in 1967.
  7. My heart bleeds: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/entertainment/lori-loughlin-terrified-charges-stress-233544758.html
  8. I forgot to mention that Louan played Mrs. Belding, who gave birth in an elevator on SBTB (how very soapy).
  9. Hmmmm, I don't really see them on that show either. YMMV.
  10. I think that Alice was Vana Tribbey, who played the role from February to September 1981. William Grey Espy left briefly in September 1981 and returned in February 1982.
  11. She did a lot of episodics, as well as a recurring role on The Secret Life of Alex Mack. My personal favorite role of hers was as Jerry's girlfriend's stepmother who put him on her speed dial in a Seinfeld episode. "Hello, Jerome..." 😂 Louan eventually left the business, moved to North Carolina and worked as a realtor. She lost her long battle with breast cancer in 2014 at age 58. Here's her filmography per imdb: https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0317276/filmotype/actress?ref_=m_nmfm_1
  12. Color me shocked. 😠 I wonder how the non-famous yet rich parents are being treated in jail.
  13. I feel bad for poor Louan (who did a great job in various comedic roles after SFT). It seems that the writers just gave up on Liza after Sherry left, leaving Louan with nothing to play but refuse.
  14. The show was unrecognizable without them. Rumor had it that Nancy Lee Grahn and Gordon Thomson were to join AW after SB folded as their SB characters, Mason and Julia Capwell. I couldn't see that happening, at least not long-term, because of the shows filming on opposite coasts. Maybe Mason and Julia would have interacted with Cass, since they were all lawyers. Maybe they could have worked a case together. Who knows?
  15. Thank you...it's always nice to hear back from the people on the show, and especially to hear that they enjoyed their time on the show. I knew girls in high school who were similar in looks and personality to Jane's character, Kim.
  16. Then you had the departures of Marcy Walker and A Martinez in 1991 and 1992, which nailed the lid shut on SB's coffin. AW definitely had more BTS stability at that point than SB.
  17. The "Am I Blue" scene was disturbing and hysterically funny at the same time. 😂
  18. I can't even see her in that role. Thankfully, she got AW's Lila, which I felt was a great fit for her.
  19. Autograph success from Jane Fleiss (Kim Langsworth):
  20. I hope it did. I wrote in my letter that I was sorry to hear of the recent passing of her husband, who was a major force in bringing Annie to stage and screen. I told her that my mom threw me an Annie themed birthday party when I turned three - which was at the same time the movie was still in theaters. I'm glad that a good deal of OLTL from the 80s is up on YouTube because Delila really was a fun, great character. Shelly was perfect in the role. I don't understand why Ken Meeker as Rafe Garretson wasn't given more to do in the decade he was on OLTL. He was a very handsome man who could actually ACT!! He had terrific chemistry with his leading ladies, Dorian Lopinto and Shelly Burch. I know he turned Jeff Giles down for an interview in Llanview in the Afternoon - it's a shame because I would have enjoyed hearing his point of view on the goings on at the time.
