Y&R: Old Articles
My unpopular opinion is that it wasn't that cruel. The deal was Diane divorces him so he can be married to Nikki until she dies. She didn't die, so they stayed married. I found it reasonable enough. It would have also been cruel to tell Nikki "cool that you survived but I don't actually love you or want to be married to you." That's my opinion as of when it originally aired - haven't rewatched the story in full, so maybe my opinion would change. I also didn't see Diane and Victor as a great love story. He married her to get to Jack, same as Jack did to Victor when he married Nikki. If anything I'd say marrying Diane was crueler than divorcing her. Diane had the Victor/Nikki deathbed marriage invalidated due to the rushed divorce and remarriage (similar to Kay/Phillip). In the 6/30/98 Classic episode (Jill and Kay attic fight), there are several scenes with Michael going to the courthouse to look into the legality of the marriage. At one point Nikki and Victor had to pretend they weren't together while he was trying to settle with Diane. There was a clip in Victor's 40th anniversary of Nikki sneaking into his office dressed as a cleaning lady. It all led up the sperm caper in 1999.

SOD is reporting her last air date will be August 29: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-rena-sofer-leaves-bb/ Looks like it was her decision to leave.

If she means that was her last airdate and not tape date, that's incredibly random.

There's nothing for you to apologize for. I don't think anyone is blaming you for mentioning it, they just want to know how your experience went because other people have been saying it's a scam. Personally I was curious how many episodes they provided for Y&R 1988, if it was literally every episode from that year.

ARTICLE: Game Show Categories Exit Daytime Emmys Competition, Heading to Primetime
I'm very surprised that they would put anything having to do with daytime in the primetime category. Makes me wonder if they're just going to eliminate categories until they can dump the Daytime Emmys altogether.

June 3, 1994. We only have the Cala episodes starting November, but the videoland episodes are now up to March 1994, so you won't have long to wait. Does that mean they have every episode from 1988? Could you tell us how many were in that collection and were they in English? You can PM me if you want.

I uploaded more 2007 eps from the anon angel. You all may be interested to know he had the missing #5127 and 5128 featuring Brooke's rape. It's really dark stuff. I had forgotten how intense that period was with Stephanie trying to take Brooke's children away and then Brooke getting raped.

I have thought about this a lot 😅 and I would put up all the episodes, but with an interactive timeline with photos and stuff. So it would start with episode 1 but you could navigate through the menu and it would have, for example, a picture of Kay and Jill and say "to start with their feud, click here" and take you to that episode where Jill visits the mansion. Then you could opt to click through to Paul's debut, Victor's debut, Victor seeing Nikki at the strip club (Abbott and Nikki debuts would be awkward due to the recasts, so maybe use key storyline moments instead like Nikki killing her father), or whatever. Then for the 90s you could have Neil's debut, Sheila stealing the baby, and stuff like that. That way all the episodes would be online for those who truly want to view the entire series, but there's also the option to skip forward if you want to only see the characters that are still on canvas today. Otherwise, a lot of fans would be turned off by not knowing most of the characters from 1973, while the diehards would be upset if they don't start with the first episode.

Y&R August 2022 Discussion Thread
If Christine reacted in the over the top way Phyllis does whenever she sees Diane (and Phyllis tried to murder her), she would say it's in the past and Christine needs to get over it. She acted that way in 2012 when they finally discovered she was responsible for the hit and run, but the statute of limitations had run out. Acting like it was so ridiculous that anyone still cared about that. Well bitch Diane framed you for that fire 20 years ago, get over it..

I just looked at the May 2005 uncut episodes and compared them to the transcripts on TV megasite. I trimmed off some of Part 4 because it jumped from the May 24 episode to clips from April 13, 15, and 18 (Thomas and Gaby scenes only). So I cut out those April 13 scenes and uploaded as a partial episode (you uploaded April 15 and 18 already). Just FYI.

Y&R/B&B/GL Vault Updates
I added it. I just wish people shared more Y&R in general. The B&B fans uploaded so many episodes! By the way, let me mention if anyone has VHS tapes send me a PM and I will convert them and upload them if you don't have a VCR.

Thanks for uploading them! So I'm finding more on that person's page... not all are labelled as Y&R. This is a godsend! This one is identified as Days but it's a 1988 episode of Y&R: https://archive.org/details/days-of-our-lives-partial-nws-9-25-10-91 At the end here is a Y&R from maybe 1991 (Cricket flashes back to her wedding)... Some new Australian broadcasts popped up on archive! Partial episode from the week of March 25, 1985. This includes Dina and Brent's confrontation which leads to Kay being shot, and John seeing Ashley at the ranch after she lost her memory (we had seen this in some of the clip compilations). https://archive.org/details/young-the-restless-partial-stw-9-14-04-88 End of March 25, 1986 (Paul and Andy find Lauren buried alive) https://archive.org/details/young-the-restless-lucy-show-c-mon-kids-incomplete-win-4-1989

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
Hey, @Jennybold1974remember how I got a lot of 2005 episodes on DVD from an angel (which I haven't finished uploading, oops 😇 - but I will get to it soon). They are back in touch with me, and they want to know what is missing from 2004 and 2005 so they can hopefully fill the gaps. Do you happen to have a list already prepared? Looks like we need almost all of 2004, with April being the most complete. They would need dates though, not episode numbers, because that is how they named their files, and their episodes would be in English. If you have the list, it would help! Thanks.

Look into the past - 1975
Soap Opera Digest gives a little more detail on this scene. I can just picture it! Brook and Derek have both agreed that Brock should be the one to tell his mother about Derek‘s upcoming marriage to Jill. It was the hardest thing Brock ever had to do but it was something that had to be done, and the results are, more or less, what he expected. Kay is shattered. She starts crumbling right before his eyes. She cries that can't be. She can’t lose Derek. --He‘s the only-reason she‘s living. Without him there's no purpose, no meaning,- for her life. She knows what she needs now—a nice, stiff drink. Brock crushes ”his mother‘s shaking body to him and says she mustn t do that. She mustnt take a drink. It will hurt Derek deeply If he found out she began drinking again because of his marriage. He may not love her, but Kay knows he does care about her very much; Does Kay follow her son‘s advice?-. . . No way! Brock leaves the room and she runs immediately for the vodka bottle she has hidden in a drawer. She hurriedly opens the bottle, presses the top to her lips and takes two large gulps. She then vows, twisting her wedding ring as she says the words, that she‘ll never lose a second husband to Jill. Jill will not take this man away.
