Yes, just like Society and Grand Phoenix, all of that sparkly stuff looks like they purchased the decor at the 99 cents store. The wardrobe and prop people seem to think rich people just wear cheap sparkly sequined clothes and have lots of sparkly crap around.

I'm just pretending that's a new room we've never seen. For a new room, it's not bad. If that's supposed to be the living room...

It's May because Nina is studying for finals and there's an ad for a Barbara Streisand concert May 21, 1995 with the Dr. Quinn episode on there. The recaps for this time are scarce, but Victor goes to Kansas on May 18th so this is probably May 17th since we see Victor calling the pilot. Also there's a recap on May 16th where it is mentioned Lauren is wearing a green miniskirt.

I added some March and April 1995 from Cala Classics that someone sent me (thank you to this angel 👼 ) . I know we'll have it from videoland eventually, but they are good quality, no subtitles.

A wonderful tribute for EB's 25th Anniversary in 2005 featuring Peter Bergman, Jeanne Cooper, Bill Maher, Eileen Davidson, Victoria Rowell (speaking a few lines of German!), Sharon Case, Joshua Morrow, Kay Alden, Jack Smith, Esther Williams, Melody Thomas Scott, Ed Scott, Jesse Ventura, and a hilarious poem from Kristoff St. John. "LA Diaries" crossover web series with Amber and ATWT's Alison, leading into that awful storyline where Amber married Cane. IMO it tries way too hard to be "edgy" and is kind of cringy, but still good that someone preserved it. Feel free to post in other parts of the board.

Also Ashley's stint in the sanitarium is like Leslie's, including similar stock characters for the patients. Chris (Brooks) and Chris/Cricket (Blair) are both blondes who worked at Legal Aid, were models, and were raped as young women. Cricket/Scott and Cole/Victoria were siblings who planned to marry.

It would be funny if all of Cricket's boyfriends from the 80s turned out to be gay. They just need to bring back Chase and find an old diary of Scott's or something.

I've heard that Sony asks for very high licensing fees for the foreign broadcasts, which is why Y&R isn't in as many countries as B&B. I really doubt they would allow it to be streamed for free just for the ad revenue like B&B does (I'm shocked B&B even does that considering foreign companies like Videoland and Cala Classics are willing to pay). It sucks because you would think that Sony owning it would make it more likely for Y&R to get streamed somewhere since they have to make all kinds of streaming deals for their movies and shows which you would think would make this more of a possibility. I guess we just have to hope that Days eventually releases classic episodes on Peacock and it's successful enough for them to consider it for Y&R.

Why did Deacon say that guy was a good uncle? Are we supposed to know who that was? Really great show with lots of fun dialogue! Too bad they didn't include James in the Houdini house... should have ended with an overall montage of Sheila stuff that didn't fit the story, but it was great that they used mostly older clips. I wonder if they will release those Halloween versions of the B&B theme in full. Those were really cool.

I looked into the 90s episodes (we don't have all of them) and I think the first one is when Danny takes Daniel trick or treating in 1996! Daniel starts feeling sick, and I guess it leads into the meningitis storyline. There's also a brief clip of Cassie in costume in 1998. And in 1999, Lynn, Marissa, and Diane dress up for a 70s party. Makes me wonder if Lorie and Leslie ever fought about who could take Brooks trick or treating...

I was just thinking that as much as we have talked about Y&R being a more gothic show, they almost never acknowledged Halloween during the classic years. It wasn't until the 90s that I can remember they might have shown little Noah or Daniel briefly in costume in an otherwise normal episode. Even the famous masquerade ball in 1991 was set early in October. Only in the mid-2000s and on did they start making a bigger deal of it and having costume parties for the adults, but the show already was starting to look cheap then.

That's great, it would be amazing if we could get the videos in HD without subtitles, but of course I'm always grateful no matter what. I've added some missing June, July, and August 2006 episodes from the angel.

According to Y&R canon, that was Sheila. That's why in 2010 they had to make the Lauren lookalike "Sheila's sister" because "Sheila" was dead. And apparently the "Sheila" that was in jail was really her crony Sugar with plastic surgery to look like Sheila. So, I guess if B&B wanted to honor the Y&R version, the current "Sheila" is really "Sugar." I feel stupider for having typed that out...

I can't really remember another time that they put a viewer discretion warning before the show, even for rapes and things. They usually do the PSA at the commercial break and the hotline at the end. It was pretty dumb of Billy to suggest that the roof is a good place for Chelsea to hang out. Why can't they just use the studio roof lke B&B did with Sheila and Taylor? That looked great.

One thing that annoys me is when they talk about how Diane is so evil on Y&R, the only reason they give is that she faked her death or stuff she did during Maura West's run (which I've pretty much blocked out). Phyllis never says anything like "I don't trust Diane because she framed me for arson!" or "She threw herself under my car so I'd run her over!" It's incredibly odd since all the actors from that period of time are still in the roles and they could show flashbacks of it and it would totally make sense. It was also strange that when Abby went through the conception of Dominic she never once mentioned that she herself was an artificial insemination baby or asked her mother for advice about that.

She looks great in the nurse's uniform. I hope they include the bees and the dog. And please not that stupid scene where she switches the labels on the bottle of wine.
