  1. Who else is in the pic besides Nikki and Lauren?
  2. Because Jeremy is blackmailing her with the information that she drunkenly tripped in the street, or something.
  3. Beth Maitland giving us a NEW clip from first week January 1985, when Traci sings at the Torchlight after Lauren and Shawn made fake reservations so she would be forced to perform for an empty venue https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/sV5P1QEBH756GrLaXOcON9DcyodvgcOd/
  4. That's true. I didn't know that about LLB! Thought it would be one of her Jabot Junior visits where everyone tells her how much more beautiful she is each time they see her and how well she must be doing in school. I think she was on the swim team too! I wonder if that first appearance was just as an extra vs. her first as "Cricket."
  5. I've sort of determined B&B is the opposite of Y&R at this point. Y&R builds up storylines for a while and just as it seems like it could get interesting, they pull out the rug and there is no payoff. Examples: Dominick gets sick and needs a transplant but Devon is a match and Dom is cured within a week. Nate is working with Newman to steal Chancellor-Winters but then at the last minute he just decides to confess and nothing happens. On B&B, you get zero build up and then all of a sudden you're in the middle of a climax to a storyline that you didn't even know was happening. Examples: Suddenly Finn is adopted and Sheila shows up at the wedding as his birth mother. Sheila and Bill have fallen in love and he gets her charges cleared. Thomas hands Hope papers for a court date tomorrow for Douglas to decide who his custodian is, no lawyers and no drawn out custody fight. Both shows are just bizarre.
  6. I wish they would just show each actors' debut instead of their favorite clips. I would love to see Victor's, Lauren's, Nikki's, and others. They should have some fan choices... otherwise unless Jess Walton picks a Jeanne clip we probably won't even have one of her...
  7. No, I looked for Usenet summaries first to get to late June, then scanned just a couple of eps.
  8. Thanks guys for narrowing it down. The clip is from June 20, 1996 - we have the German version in the vault, but I believe this is the first time we've had it in English so I'm actually happy for that.
  9. Today's "classic" clip is Paul & Christine moving into their condo... are they just trolling us? 😅 I mean it's a cute scene and all. Does anyone know what year it's from? https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/xhjwQnpSppvIgIku_4DRNimaFbGeTdcL/ The clip is there from July 1983. That's all we have. It was posted on YouTube.
  10. LMAO, they didn't even spring for a blanket this time?
  11. Yeah so that Esther thing pretty much seals it that we're not getting anything new lol.
  12. Do they honor the timeslot by not showing the trial and just having the newscasters talk about the trial with a brief snippet of someone remembering their own testimony?
  13. I knew about the archive, but this is the first I've heard of them considering streaming. Hope they're not just being nice lol.
  14. The Vault has not been working or accepting uploads for several weeks (both the B&B and Y&R/GL vaults). I spoke to @ChickenNuggetz92 and he said he will have to change it over to a new account again, which takes some time. So I guess once that is done we will get a big batch of episodes all at once which is what happened last time. Of course if some angel wants to share via mega/dropmefiles/mediafire etc that would be wonderful and appreciated.
  15. Thanks! That document is interesting. I had the impression US breakdowns where a little more detailed than this, with even bits of dialogue thrown in.
  16. I hope they don't do a cast cull, because I can guarantee whoever they cull will be the opposite of what fans want, nor do I expect them to bring in any interesting young new talent to replace them. Whatever they do, it will be in true anti-climactic Josh Griffith fashion. There won't be a serial killer. The characters probably won't even leave town. They'll just get dropped to recurring and continue to have non-storylines just like the contract cast does. They'll be seen here and there for random visits like Amanda. And even those that leave town, like Ashley who apparently lives in Paris, will be around just as often as when they were living in town, again just having random interactions, but no real story.
  17. You could probably pass legislation with less people approving. Good grief.
  18. The whole thing is just off. Nick is acting like a dad to a scared pregnant teen who has no idea how this happened.
  19. Well, Y&R already has no storylines, no sets, no memorable music, and no artistic direction. The cast and the rich history of the characters is literally all they have so they'd better preserve that.
  20. Yes, that's what bothers me too. I think if you took Y&R's cast, GH's production budget, and decent writers who cared, it would still be possible to make a compelling soap in 2023.
  21. Thank you! The context is helpful. So I suppose it makes more financial sense to consolidate all of these positions (he's also EP isn't he, lol) into one person and one contract and just pay him per breakdown.
  22. Are breakdown writers full time positions? Why don't they just make it a contract gig with no benefits? Or is that against the union's rules? I'm assuming Griffith isn't taking on the extra work for free, so he's being paid something, but not as much as the invidual writers would make? And that's allowed by the union?
