  1. Hoping Women, African Americans, Latinx, and other historically disenfranchised communities vote in droves today. They’re the only hope to keep democracy alive, even if said democracy has never truly empowered them to give a damn.
  2. Victoria Rowell said Bell created Dru because many black women from the South wrote into the show, hoping to see themselves better reflected. They loved Mamie, but didn't feel she was necessarily reflective of who a lot of black women were.
  3. It's flopping right out the gate, much like her movie career right now after back to back flops with House of Gucci and Joker: Folie à Deux . #27 debut on the Hot 100 this week.
  4. It was hilarious when he said “we need that!” - seems like there has been a lack of oversight for a long time there and Scott was hired to fill that void.
  5. That scene in tomorrow’s US episode also ended almost like an old-school scene with the music (granted, not classic Y&R music) blaring and Phyllis making an over the top proclamation, lol. Only thing missing was the old way they did the EP credits after the fade to black. Here it is for those who want to see it ahead of tomorrow: https://x.com/yogachampagne/status/1853543537574371340
  6. Joshua Morrow talks about Ed’s return at the 1:13 mark - he says Ed cares so much about the quality of the show and his attention to detail about things like lighting and giving feedback to the actors.
  7. If SJB ever wanted to return, I’d happily drop LW in a NY minute. LW is competent and cares, but she’s never really been Carly to me either.
  8. I guess it makes sense under the context that the whole thing was rebuilt from scratch, and they just wanted the doors in the opposite direction, 😝
  9. Honestly, the stories still suck and probably won’t change until Josh Griffith is fired. But Scott is visibly making some production changes from the offset upon his return.
  10. Directors Sally McDonald and Owen Renfroe tend to take more “creative” shots and use different angles. But that’s definitely in-line with Y&R’s classic directing style, and we’ll probably see more of it with Scott being in the booth with the directors.
  11. We probably won’t get the classic music back, but the use of music in tomorrow’s US episode is quite different from what we’ve been getting and much more in-line with the way Y&R used to use music. Particularly in some scenes with Nate/Amy, and Phyllis/Summer. I think this is naturally some of Ed Scott’s initial influence. Sally McDonald also directed, so there’s naturally a vintage Y&R flair. The GCAC scenes with Billy/Lily also looked “busier” and less “empty” than they usually have recently.
  12. They were so quick to revoke a producer title from Beall, it's hilarious actually.
  13. Yep, Monday's US episode is Ed's first episode back in the credits, and though not a huge overnight change for the common viewer who don't notice a lot of things, it was definitely 'different' and probably a sign of things to come production-wise. I also noticed Michelle Stafford's acting was more understated (for her standards these days at least) than she normally is. She mentioned how Ed likes to rush out from the booth and on to the set to give the actors feedback, and she certainly needs that... Griffith's stories are still like the flattest bottle of soda you'll ever taste though...
  14. Behind the scenes of the 13K episode:
  15. I love all the support MVJ is getting from the actors who she wrote for on GH and B&B. For someone who spent most of her career as script writer, her work really resonated with these actors and she seemed to forge really unique relationships with these people. I loved this one from Vanessa Marcil on MVJ's recent Instagram post:
  16. I remember being impressed by him a few months back when he had scenes with GF. He more than held his own with DZ, GF, and NLG on Friday’s episode (it doesn’t take much to be better than MB these days, so not mentioning him lol). He’s really the strongest younger actor on the show and they should invest in writing more for him if they intend to write more for that age group. The kid playing Danny also leveled up, but you can visibly tell he’s not quite as good as the Rocco actor yet.

  18. 17 minutes and 47 seconds of your life that you won't regret:
  19. I do hope the show continues to have Sam’s kids think of Dante and Rocco as “family” because Drew and Jason (especially) are awful fathers.
  20. That kid is talented and can hold his own. He may age out of the role soon, but he’s one of the more compelling younger actors on the show.
  21. Looks like the new Newman Ranch set debuts next week:
