We are on opposite ends cuz #TeamKat, but I still love you. ;) I was loving Eva with Izaiah, but that has dimmed due to them being in a bit of a rut while I feel she is playing victim (as if she didn't give as good as she got) one too many times for me. You and the majority of this board. lol. I do feel we might get that rival family this year though. The real question is...will it be the Hawthornes like I theorized to be a family that is working class OR another rich more evil family?

Hehe. Just saying. It's wild how people are about them, but no one is indifferent so the show is doing their job. I like that they keep mixing it up, but the show has done a pretty good job at keeping them in separate storylines for the most part to have character development with both of the characters. I thought they did a good job of that with Dani and Bill last year when the show started so when he winded up in the hospital after his stroke, there was more investment due to the audience getting to know the characters individually. I feel that's what they are doing with Kat and Eva at of late. So much so that I actually turned on Eva which surprised me.

You're not alone on that. That's been very much on my mind this week. ;) Oh, I do. What happened in Minnepolis has been very much on my mind and also very avoidable by not putting IT back in office. Both stories still resonate to this day. I can't begin to tell you how I cried during the Bobbie's death episodes and how it all connected to BJ. Bobbie was always my favorite GH character growing up...second only to Brenda...so that one (and Jackie's passing) really hit hard. And that they crafted an almost perfect set of episodes that touched on so much of her history...my eyes water just thinking about it. Kristina Wagner's 'Barbara Jean' echo with Lucas Crane's Lucas both realizing who the writer was at the end still hits. From Labine's pen and still touching lives today. Yeah, I used to have quite a few bundles, but I also live in a building with a shady landlord so yep...NOPE. lol. And given how bundles and streaming services continue to increase under the new gov, if I am going to watch anything, it will be by DVD set by library (as long as they can stay open cuz my library is VERY up-to-date) or...OTHER means...if you catch my drift. I like what they did with 6 episodes, but I would rather have an 8/10 episode season for streaming and 15 to 18 for normal tv. I'm old school and also oh so bias as a writer.

I still haven't played catch-up but could the tiff have to do with their unaired fight from last season? I see from a clip that Heather is even more a bitca than I remember. Her mask is completely off.

Same. Almost always gets a chuckle from me. You are welcome. I almost immediately left after Chris/Danny's wedding (but did get time to see that BF's body WAS on point black boxers and all...shame it is wasted on Giggly Heffa) before I stopped watching again. I only was in there for the classic episode which was perfection and the shade at the writing. Awww yeah Doug is missed, but the month has been good. Uh...NOPE on Kat vs Eva. You know they are their generation's version of Jill vs Katherine. They will probably be at it for the rest of the year until that switch happens. ;)

1-20 Now that all my episodes are on my system...rme...the rewatch!!! What is standing out for me is the stories. And there are so many going on in this episode alone and I'm not bored with any of them. What is surprising me is the fact that a whole B story has my attention more than the A story. And by B story I mean Joey vs Silk Press Sheila. I said this when I was able to watch, but I liked that SilkPress is not only off in this new direction (and I like her with Marcel), but that it is restoring her menace...which has been dormant since the writers prefer to write SPS as a cartoon. Good to know that someone over there is remembering that SPS is also supposed to be DANGEROUS. After all, she almost killed a girl twice and was running around town in different wigs just to get the payback. And for all her looniness...Joey not bowing down to her is really getting her slowly bringing that dangerous side of her out. If I am not going to get layers in an organic way (which debatably they have been doing the last few weeks), I will take her dangerous in a Sami Brady way. Old School Sami Brady would be put in a corner and get comeuppances and always had a trump card. So the mystery of the flashdrive that Joey is blackmailing her with has me tingling with what will happen next. What is on it? Proof of her in Laura's accident? Proof of her at the hospital? Proof she switched test results? My curiosity is piqued. I also want to know SPS's next move. Down, not out indeed. Bonus...LOVE her second scene with Kristen Dimera...I mean Hayley. I want more. Speaking of the A story...well...be careful what I wish for. Dani/Bill/Hayley was the main story last year. And that successfully morphed into Bill/Dani/Andre. But I felt that was mostly in the background for some time. Now that it is slowly coming back to the forefront like I wanted it...I actually am not liking the writing. We got to see Dani grow. And now I feel like she is regressing and Andre is being unusually insecure. I do love how pressed Bill is being. And the same for Kristen Dimera...I mean Hayley. lol. I am still invested, but I hope it plays differently. Also more of what I want...Nicole's storyline!!! I've been enjoying having her POV at last. Not always perfect, but at least I no longer feel she is just in the background or the background of other people's stories. And HAHAHAHAHHAAH at the comedy of errors of Kial returning and already meeting Carlton and having to work together. And THEN...Nicole revealing that she's connected to both of them (with Shanice in the background being that Nosy Nurse we know she can be). Now that all the players are back on screen...let the games begin... And I like the C stories on display. Naomi hiding she has the gene has me curious. I am a fan of Jacob/Naomi and the good guys couples but they do need to be challenged as a couple. So far, they got half-hearted attempts. Things have been changing. So I want to see where this Naomi storyline goes. I was worried that Chelesa not having the gene might mean no more story for her. But her dealing with the dealer friend and Madison having issues with her doing pills tells me we might be getting a story with them after all. Good. Like I just said, time to have the couples get tested. Especially since they did the potentially good Madison's Mama story off-screen. And yes to the mentioning of Vanessa starting to come across as the cunning woman she was right up until Doug's death aka Guza version of Vanessa. And this new story about blowback from the escort service could be intriguing. Good that Vanessa trusted Nicole enough to tell her. And I do worry about her when SPS decides to use her for some payback on Joey. Oh and I look forward to seeing Jacob and Naomi's living room more than once. Yes, redressing a set DOES work. ;)

Good. hehe. Good to hear. I would say since Christmas, it has found its momentum again for sure. Especially once the Season 2 episodes start. And even better, it does feel like it's BUILDING. I'm not giving you any spoilers for this coming week, but each week has something in it to look forward to. So much so I've been livid with CBS playing games with loading episodes...which I'm currently doing a rewatch. I look forward to how you feel about some of the entering of new writers. There's a new breakdown writer that I've VERY excited for and loved her first episode and looking forward to her second.

1-20 Slightly repetitive so far, but I do like there are so many stories going on again. I knew that Eric and Katie would think of something to figure out how to not tell Brooke Eric was the new designer. That's a juicy little secret that does not need to come out yet. So SHUT UP, DONNA. Meh. at the Will/Electra/RJ triangle that is clearly forming. The backstory was cool. And the little silly moments with the interns. I can't believe that Will is already worried about RJ as a threat. And then there's Dylan in the wings. Of course, what I'm really liking is the Taylor/Deacon/Sheila triangle. And sidenote...LOVE Hope with the lion mane of hair. It was luscious and I was living for it. It's a shame that Hope and Steffy are against it. But Steffy ain't wrong. It's a matter of time before Sheila figures it out. And it will be crazy cuz...SHEILA.

Same. Yeah, now that I think about it. You are right. They would probably get a follow-up scene where Sonny apologizes after Willow is exposed. But eventually on this show might be next February Sweeps. I like Nina alone right now as well. I just wish she was factored in more (and I know why she's not) because several things are going on that do affect her and it has felt like an afterthought for too long for me. And she's definitely better than the ADA.

Lol. I'm a fan when Brenda's in town. ;) But before Alexis tried to aim the Drew's Shooter theory as Michael, her and Sonny have really been getting along and co-parenting, giving off a nice spark. Ah, that's another option I've mentioned as well re: Nina. And Nina/Sonny is very much like Jason/Liz...they got teased enough and get close and then the person vanishes, replaced by some unnecessary character. Sorry, Britt. lol. It just shows how easy it is to write for Sonny with other characters on canvas really.

I feel that. I once met a nice attractive DC lawyer who I figured I never had a chance with...only to find out I did. Then I found out that he had been in town for Pride and apparently the thing to do was a friend group would find unsuspecting black boy for a fling to say they had been with a black person and you had the pleasure of being with someone non-black. That stuff like that STILL happens to this day (as I have found) really makes a person really question humanity...that people would take all that energy to make a person feel other or less than...when they could use that energy for a better world. He is the very definition of delusion. I don't want to speak ill, but... :) Now Labine knows better. lol. No introducing new characters and immediately writing for them. lol. Still, thank you for the info. And I do think one of these days I will watch her GH with adult eyes because as a kid, I remember some of it and love it. And of course, I love it when I see clips and the dialogue and the acting. And I can go on about Nurse Balls forever. But it would be nice to get full context. Totally agree on new soaps. Now some of those writers...lol. I have mixed feelings, but can understand someone else wanting to avoid them. Even RC can split a board here still. One thing good I can always say for him...when he takes over a show, that first year of his writing is guaranteed to not be boring. He can wrap up other people's stories pretty well. I know of that show. But that goes back to my comment about not having access when if it was on normal tv...but I miss normal tv. Ah! I see. It's kinda like how I feel about the main couple sometimes.

Agree. And I find IMHO that the best moments that Ben has been good has been when Derek has been dancing with his dark side. So I say, let him do it if that is the direction the writers want to go.

I totally agree. If it was truly just about how someone looked, I would have been pursued quite a few people. I want more. But...don't we all? Sad, but true re: blue wave needed. Like I like to say...I like to read and write dystopian, I don't want to be living in a dystopia. lol. But I am afraid that the damage is going to be done before all is said and done and there will be nothing to do about it. Ha! It sounds like what executives have been trying to do to Y&R for decades. And I finally had to drop it as a regular viewer last summer cuz killing two (or three) legacy characters in the same period of time...one who was at the center of one of the show's longest feuds as well as a connection to one of the first families as well as introducing an actual new character...a black man that could act and had charisma at all...was just too much for me. I've always had respect and liked Labine so her name was one I followed from soap to soap as well. Perhaps me and Ryan's Hope some day... Oh, you are talking to the choir on Borderick. I think the times I've been a consistent AMC viewer outside of my mother having it on was when she was there. Happy she was allowed to come back to write out the tv end. If it wasn't for her, I would have never discovered ATWT, Maury West, and turned into a Carjacker (I'm a sucker for bad person/good person couples). lol. I loved her brief time there and discovering a new soap world. Same. I find it very fascinating as well. I used to be a major fan of RC for example. And that's just a storm of great ideas, bad execution more often than not. I am happy he was able to redeem himself somewhat for me as just a breakdown writer on BTG. His first breakdown was awful, but over the past year, one cannot deny he can't do a soapy breakdown that moves plot. That's something that me and my co-worker discuss all the time. We used to have so many shows that we watched at the same time. Now not so much. And if I want a good show with some depth and character development, it is sad to me that I can only find it on streaming systems or places I shouldn't have to look. :) I mean...these days one would be hard pressed to find teen tv shows that are actually on tv and come out consistently yearly. I can at least count of MISS SCARLETT to come out in January here in the States (and currently airing) and of course THE BEAR in June. But that's pretty much it with me outside of HW shows and soaps. But back on topic lol...I feel Francis sold Scott's loneliness being at the top without Kip throughout so that what happened at the end of Episode 5 was not jarring. At least for me. Moreso because he finally had his dream. And he wanted both parts of it.
