  1. Speak that truth!! No one was doing it like Garcelle was doing it. And it was refreshing. Also her being a fan favorite in two years' time and upstaging Kyle's own ghost producing without breaking a sweat should be studied. Cuz EricFake is one of Andy's favorites. Same for me. It was really her coming on that kept me watching. At least for a little while longer after LVP was gone. Another reason for her becoming a fan fave, she was asking the questions that the viewers wanted to know and Andy wanted to ignore. And yes, EricFake was a bitca to her which is why I Ooooo shaded right along with Dorit when Garcelle gathered her when she said she didn't have to make EricFake look bad because EricFake does that all on her own. That comment HIT. Thank you for the rundown. Very. Their friendship was the best thing about the show. I cannot believe she threw it under the bus for those girls that are so jealous of her.
  2. I'll say this much...I will always be here for Christine getting a nasty dig in on Giggly Heffa.
  3. Very. I am sooooo over it. I agree. Like I said the other day...I like everything about the Luna storyline actually EXCEPT for Luna. lol.
  4. 10-21 I would say this week is off to a solid start. Not much is going on, but I'm not too bored if that makes sense. It's...fluff. I think the highlight so far...which I mentioned earlier...was Steffy's return. The thing that got me into watching B&B regularly again was Sinn. And I can still feel how I feel just thinking about their reunion abroad. One of the last current supercouples. So I was loving it. Of course, she immediately had to deal with the news that Luna is alive. And of course, she made a beeline for her. Side-note...I noticed an edit oops at the start of the Monday episode where it looks like they were in the old version of their cliff house because the following scene introduced a wider angle into another section of the house. I guess JMW pre-taped before the move to the new studio at some point? I even liked the campness of Luna and the security guard as Luna got a parade of visitors. Good to see Poppy still around and got a little dig in. And of course, I lived for Steffy vs Luna and calling it like it is with what Luna did to Will. And finally, Bill. I think he will be eating crow soon though. Interesting touch-typing Luna's cellmate to what happened to Luna before. I did wonder that at the time as well. I'm still enjoying the new spacious sets no question. It's becoming more of a highlight for me than the writing. And yes, sometimes it is funny watching Crew and it just reminds me of his father at times.
  5. Very. Doesn't mean I don't agree with you. I am tired of it being used and it's clear it is being used to redeem a character...usually someone the audience don't like. Kinda like the brain tumor soap trope. And that one for sure is definitely overdue. I just also feel that it can be used well. Like when it's the case of a fan fave actor/actress that left a show and been gone for years. And then they come back. It works then because we as soap fans know the characters inside and out and KNOW there is no reason for said character to not come back. And in cases like that, it can work. I can see both sides of its use.
  6. I think it can still make good soap. HOWEVER, it should not be a trope that is used to redeem someone we have seen onscreen to be a horrible person.
  7. Exactly!!! The audience...like the North...remembers.
  8. STEFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lord...the look. The kiss with Finn and their kids looking on. The music. Let me swoon for a moment.
  9. That ain't a slow burn, that's a buzzkill.
  10. And the circle back around, there was an attempt to get a generation next going on. I just don't feel it was a barely there plot between the teens so much as it started and eventually vanished. I just wish that it had been allowed to continue. And don't get me started on what has become of Laura and Liz's family. I'm still P.O. at how the return of Laura's kids was ruined on top of how all of Liz's kids have upped and vanished. I would think someone *cough*Frank*cough was mad that the audience loved seeing JJ's Lucky back, Lulu as a successful recast, GF being given something to do as Laura, and Liz's kids full of storyline potential (Aidan and Tobias, Jake finally getting to interact with his father Jason who was wanting to be more of a father...and dare I say...the thing with Charlotte) over any of the plot-driven direction and Frank's Favs going on on the canvas. Can't have that! That said...writing that and thinking about the fact that the young set outside of Joss...don't even have a storyline is making me think of Josh Griffith on Y&R and how he would parade out young characters for potential storylines and then they would vanish like a new character introduced over on B&B. Hopefully, GH does not get to how JG is and becoming allergic to writing for young characters. Same. Hmmm. For me, I saw her a few times as Carly when I was younger. She gave good schemer bad girl when I saw her. But it wasn't until one day I came across her meeting Michael Park's Jack that I became spellbound. Yep...I'm a Carjacker. hehe. And even though I was not a frequent ATWT fan, I still tried to keep up with that pairing. They were great and she was excellent. I didn't even mind her on Y&R even though she was miscast. And it was love at first sight when she arrived as Ava. The femme fatale that played it to the hilt. So I was happy that PM went there and brought that side of her back. The side that as has been mentioned and I also mention...I would have kept around. Good writers can use that and find ways for her to wiggle out of her crimes, but these writers ain't PM so...I'll hush.
  11. IKR. Like I've been saying, Y&R's loss was definitely GH's gain. IKR! I said that from the start of that plot last seen on ALIAS. As did I. My Beast was fascinated with Carly in the same way he was intrigued by Anna when Brennan was played by him. Even if Brennan even then felt like a placeholder for Carly...which admittedly he did...I felt the pairing went against that due to chemistry and dare I say it...some development and movement. Something that went missing when Chris McKenna took over. Cuz up until recently, I believe that Carly/Brennan only had scenes one/twice a month the last few months...feeling more plotpoint-y than any relationship at all. They're not.
  12. I don't think that is going on work. They tried that with Esme over on GH and what she did was so bad that great actress that she was, the character could not overcome it. The audience remembers. I feel that will be the same with Luna.
  13. Count me in as someone who also does not think that Martin and Smitty reuniting was a rewrite. I wish it would have taken longer. And I still feel that it's a setup for their next bit of drama with Hayley making her reference to them being a clue. Perhaps her potential team-up with SPS will be the way they bring Kenny's murder back into play. Joey approaches her. Hayley uses her info on Martin's Secret to figure it out...assuming she does not know the part about Kenny's Murder. She tells SPS. SPS naturally use it as an ace over the Duprees. Of course, there's a Nicole vs SPS scene. First, SPS threatened Kat. Now, she has info and threatens Martin, too? Catfight ensues.
  14. WOOF!!! With his fine wine aging self. Very. That you did.
  15. Love this. And Victor is still going, too.
  16. I mean...that would a good amount of time to write them back together (while working on the issues between Sonny and Brenda) while ushering Sonny off the canvas.
  17. Yep, pretty much. I still find it so hard to believe how they finally appeared to be building up the kids/teen set to now just be barely there or plot points.
  18. But enough onscreen for me to feel invested. But again, part of that for me was the fact that we on the board have been picking on Jason and his parenting skills for years. So to see it finally start to be addressed...got a 'yes, finally!' for me. Yeah, the warehouse was unusual, but I could see the interest in that...a legal front? For Jason? Wow. But that comes back to the job offer from Brennan cuz the warehouse gave him a perfect cover and gave the audience Action Jason still. Best of both worlds in a way. And we know where I stand on Jason's non-existent love life. So need for that emergency glass...but them BTS antics. Even through all that, SB looked surprisingly engaged like I mentioned for the first time in years. At least to me. And that carried me with his stories. Even involved being blackmailed over Carly. Which was so annoying when a simple conversation would have worked. So I guess for me it was not so much a flop as a fumble. But that has to do with what was going on BTS. Cuz it was there...no matter how slight...onscreen.
  19. Speak on it!!! I can't wait to binge to see her.
  20. I feel...like Izaiah...that it's too early to call whether it is a retcon or not. They are just now diving back into the Hayley/Randy connection. Just because he hasn't mentioned babymama doesn't mean that he won't. Since Joey has called out Randy on being around Hayley and Randy lied that they are having an affair, I'm sure it will come up in later dialogue if only to clarify.
  21. 10-17 Well...I didn't hate it. The funny thing is...I didn't dislike anything surrounding the Luna storyline. I liked that Electra called the police. I love seeing Katie. The return of Bridget! I liked Finn getting into it with Li. I liked Poppy coming back. I like watching the reactions as people are learning that Luna is still alive AND preggers. For me, it's just the fact that it's LUNA. Brad Bell went through all of these hoops to redeem her so he could keep a great actress. And now? Luna's back in that corner...even with a baby on the way. I can just smh. I think the most intriguing thing for me this week that I watched has been watching this Taylee/Deacon thing building. If I am going to have to have Rebecca Budig here as Taylor over Krista Allen, she needs a storyline of her own for me to see her as a character in her own right. And even though it started previously, I guess this is it. And like I said, it's intriguing. A Taylor/Deacon/Sheila triangle? Hmmm. Though I can't help, but shake my head at everyone not taking in the fact that it is SHEILA. I like Deke. And it's a good storyline with him sneaking in his designs. But it's a cute C plot. At least until everyone figures out who he's dating. And so far, it's a nice slow burn which I like. And I giggled at Deke and Electra meeting knowing that.
