  1. Yes it is. Even if Al Franken is gone he's going to be replaced by another democrat right? If so, I don't understand why this a loss?
  2. ^It represents the women who haven't come forward yet.
  3. Yes, Ben Sasse mentioned that the government has "over promised on entitlements". Not over promised to rich donors, of course. Its obvious they are trying to get people used to the idea of being screwed hard.
  4. Well, if you pray, pray for the middle east. I feel for anyone who has to work in the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.
  5. Why not? She's consistently awful. I can't wait until she fades into obscurity.
  6. Thanks Marceline. So, I looked it up and the governor is a Democrat, so the seat will go to another democrat I take it. I certainly wish that there was a more formal process for all of this to happen, so that all of these guys facing multiple, credible allegations would be expelled. I agree it doesn't make sense to force Franken to resign when Moore may very well be elected. Then of course there is always Trump corrupting our entire government. What a nest of vipers. It's disgusting.
  7. If Franken does go, what happens to his seat? Special election?
  8. There's the truth. Of course all three major religions have radicals and Israel/Jerusalem is a flash point. Leave it to 45 to do the worst possible thing. He's determined to have a world war, if it starts in North Korea or Israel seems not to matter to him. Ha! I bet he's going to scare us like this every six months. I guess I'm grateful, but he is just the worst.
  9. I am just blown away by the insanity. If God exists do these people really believe they can force his hand? Clearly they do, which is the height of arrogance. I almost wish he existed so he could smite these fools.
  10. As crazy as it sounds I swear I believe the far right Christians are trying to bring on Armageddon. There was a Vice episode on just this thing. They are seriously trying to start the final war and bring Jesus back. This thread explains it.
  11. I missed this, but yeah, we are sinking fast. It's particularly sad that we are banning people from Yemen and Syria. Not that we should be banning any nation as a whole. @DramatistDreamerI see some karmic justice in the idea that Republicans may lose some elections due to the way 45 screwed over PR.
  12. ^ That's potentially good too, right? Unfortunately, people tend to gravitate towards NY and Cali, it seems. That's less good.
  13. Maybe this is some good news. I guess close to 200,000 Puerto Ricans have come to Florida so far.
  14. I think there is some hope that swing voters will come back our way. A lot of hope. I guess we'll see over the next couple of years. For now all we can do is fight where we can and endure. Sadly, I'm also feeling a lot of hate for these people right now. I don't like feeling that way, but I do.
  15. It's cool. If it were a real debate It would all be good. He just purposely says racist things to upset people here. As to Jerusalem I'm also pro-Israel, which is why I think it's a terrible idea to mess with the status quo. It could very easily lead to war. I didn't catch that. Good job doing so because while we all know it's possible. There is no way I believe it.
  16. I hope the women he harassed sue him. He's been paid $100 million over the last 10 years. What!? All that while making life miserable for his co-workers.
  17. Please stop quoting the troll. Most of us have him on ignore because we don't want to see the nonsense.
  18. Absolutely. We all know he is the vindictive type. What a day of mixed news. Still, I'm thrilled that MF flipped.
  19. OMG. No.... Trump is recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital. https://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-will-recognize-jerusalem-as-israels-capital-in-wednesday-speech-report/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  20. Then we really have to hope for her sake that the Republicans are ousted soon. If they screw up Medicare the less well off among our elderly are really going to be in trouble.
  21. Has she retired already? What these people want to do to the elderly is also disgusting. I just don't understand what is in their minds to be so greedy. I think the hope in this situation is that this bill will be so painful that Democrats will be voted in. Hopefully in time to save Mama Khan despite herself. It almost wasn't though! They came so close to getting away with it because they make the rules. Look how hard it is to even make a complaint against these *(&*^%^ckers! It's unreal. Then the nondisclosure agreements people are forced to sign. I give a lot of credit to women who are breaking them.
  22. Ugh. I'm sorry. I think this administration is causing a lot of people anxiety and stress. My husband says one way he preserves his mental health is never listening to Trump speak.
  23. Thanks! Some people were let go at my husband's company. I just feel really bad for them. Then juxtaposed with this stupid tax bill passing it really makes me angry. Corporations are chewing people up and spiting them out, while getting huge tax cuts. Not to mention the truly poor people who are getting screwed by this. That's really the worst part. Thanks Jane. It's just hard not to get down with all this terrible stuff happening daily, but I know a lot of people are going through the same thing.
  24. This has been a terrible day for me, so this news is very welcome.
