At least one of them is doing the bare minimum here. I think what it comes down to is a lot of these people were always authoritarians. Trump has given them the opportunity to present their true colors. While I've never liked the republican party, if someone had told me so many would prove to be anti democratic traitors, I wouldn't have believed it.

People have been warned over and over again not to gather for Thanksgiving, so I have a hard time sympathizing. People just will not listen to reason of their own accord, so states with decent leaders end up with rules and mandates. Those of us with bad leaders are hunkering down for the super seeder events that Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE are going to become because people won't do the right thing and stay home.

The ultimate irony to me is that these gun toting militia/patriot types have been on guard against a threat to our democracy for decades. Then one actually comes along and they f*ck up the "mission". Trump is making a pathetic attempt at a coup. Meanwhile, all these "my freedom" idiots manage to be on the side that is trying to overthrow democracy. It's unreal.

Every single one of them should be fired and shunned. 😡

We are so lucky that this virus isn't even worse because it seems clear to me that people just aren't going to listen. I swear the death rate could be twice what it is and these Covidiots would be acting like business should keep humming. You just know that a good chunk of people are going to ignore social distancing for Thanksgiving. My husband and I just agreed to full lock down from the week of Thanksgiving until after the new year. It's going to suck, but I don't see what else we can do. Thank God Biden won. I can't imagine how depressing this would be if we had four more years of Trump to dread on top of all this death and disease.

I don't know how it should be distributed because I'm obviously not an epidemiologist, but this is immoral. It should be decided by doctors who goes first by some sort of triage process.

Hold up. So Pfizer is an American multinational company and they are giving the vaccine free to all Americans? Or do they mean the US government is making it free to all Americans? The CNN article wasn't clear on that point. Why isn't it free to everyone? I'm not saying Pfizer should give it away, but rich nations have to come together and make sure everyone can get this vaccine for free. Not just for moral reasons, but practical ones too. I have a feeling we are going to regret not making the flu vaccine free this year, soon enough. If I didn't have insurance it would have cost me over $160 for a family of 4 this year. While I'm not usually a fan of big Pharma, I have to admit this is quite an achievement. The devil is in the details and it seems they don't know how long the immunity will last, but still, I give them credit for getting $hit done. Then of course we have to face the hurdle of all the anti vax people out there. 🙄

Then give them a run for their money when it comes to being downright shameless about stealing from the lonely and elderly. It's unreal. I love some of the small things about Biden. Like when he said their presidential ticket got more votes than any in history. He included Kamala in the success, instead of bragging for 15 mins about he got the most votes in history. Thanks Carl. It was hard on the kids, but I still feel so much relief and joy for our country. We had a really close call with Authoritarianism and seeing people dancing in the streets is just what the doctor ordered. It's really something the way the Republicans weren't even trying to hide their voter suppression this time. They were willing to just openly throw out votes, I mean damn. Thank God for people like Stacey Abrams who had the resilience to keep fighting after being knocked down.
