  1. Reliving one of my favorite childhood series on youtube: This is the 1983 opening. The series first started in 1979. Glenn Scarpelli from One Day At A Time alternated with the redheaded boy in season 1.
  2. Sounds awesome. I wonder if those episodes will also contain early Victor and his abusive relationship with Julia ? I wish Nikki and Greg's wedding from 1979 would surface someday. I saw fragments of it on MTS Lifetime bio.
  3. I bet it was creepy to see him have a love interest if he was that awkward ?
  4. Was Dr. Pinkham strange acting ?
  5. I remember reading that Aaron Spelling was a huge fan of Bill Bell and his writing. That was one of the reasons he chose Y&R for his 1983 film Mr. Mom where Michael Keaton becomes addicted to watching it. In the 90's when Spelling came out with Sunset Beach he said he wanted it be like a Bell soap. There was at one point rumors of a feud between the two.
  6. I sometimes forget about Charles In Charge and automatically think of Eight Is Enough when Willie Aames is brought up. He and Scott also starred in Zapped. Prior to EIE Aames had a recurring role on Family as T.J. One memorable episode included Genie Francis as a nasty girl who threatens Kristy McNichol to stay away from T.J. I always felt if there was a stories to be told by a former child star about Hollywierd, it would be Kristy McNichol.
  7. I remember Tim showing back up around 1989. Tim & Tracy were enjoying a day at the pool and Brad shows up in a speedo to make Tim Jealous. He also spikes Tim's ice tea with laxative he gets from Mamie (Marguerite Ray) that send him trotting. Brad wants Tracy back after their divorce from the Lisa fiasco.
  8. Audrey Landers for Bright Side shampoo.
  9. Carla Borelli for Pillsbury. 1976 and 1978
  10. I agree. There is some controversy surrounding her death. Some people believe she was murdered. Burt Reynolds was with her hours before she died. She was supposed to star in a TV series for Aaron Spelling at the time of her death. Here is a complete color episode of FD with Davey Jones.
  11. According to some Hazel fans, they claim the TV Hazel was toned down compared to the comic strip version who was even more of a buttinsky. Shirley Booth was a gem in the TV series. It seems like most of the Screen Gems sitcoms have been reran in recent years except the long forgotten "The Farmer's Daughter" starring the late Inger Stevens and William Windom. The last time it was in reruns was back in the 80's on the defunct CBN channel. When Antenna TV launched several years ago, they announced they were going to be airing it. Shortly before ATV debut, they posted that the show was in bad shaped and couldn't be aired. One poster on their page said what it really boiled down to was Sony went looking for the old worn out tape transfers and couldn't find them. Sony is so cheap they didn't want to make new transfers from the 35mm masters in the vault. We will probably never see this show in syndication again or a DVD release. Here is a clip from the highly anticipated 1965 wedding of Katy and Glen. The show had switched to color before the wedding.
  12. My mom started watching the firs day too in 1973. Around the year 2000 she lost interest. Bill Bell was no longer crafting the stories. That's nice they have high praise for him. My first memories of Y&R are around 1979/80. The Leslie/Lorie/Lance/Lucas thing was going on and Victor's was married to his first wife Julia.
  13. Sad to hear about DR. I remember him also being on a show in the late 80's called Danger Bay. It seems there are very few current viewers of Y&R that were around to watch the show in the 70's.
  14. Was Carol introduced in 1969 ? Most write ups say 1970.
  15. IMDB has Judi Rollin listed as Babs # 1 (1971) and Barbara Stanger as # 2 (1972-1974). That can't be right because they have Donna Wandrey as # 3 and she was playing the part in 1972. I say Wandrey was before Stanger.
  16. Peter Galman said on his youtube page that he was trying to track down some of his ATWT work. I know there are some early 70's episodes listed as being at UCLA archives , but they are not available to be viewed. How many Barbara's were there before CZ took over the role in 1978 ? Donna Wandrey is listed as # 3.
  17. Thanks for posting these two 1984 episodes. The commercials are a lot of fun to look back at. Is that Dorian Lopinto in the Playtex ad ?
  18. Tudi Wiggins appears briefly at 1:01
  19. This appears to be Pamela Toll in this ad:
  20. I just finished reading an interview with the late Michael FIlerman. One thing that stuck out was he said he would have never cast Linda Gray as Sue Ellen. He wanted Mary Frann and implied Linda got her job because she and her husband were friends with a big wig guy at Lorimar. I remember reading an interview with Linda and she said the woman who casting director for Dallas had her come in because she had been the casting director on the short lived Norman Lear show All That Glitters. Talk about to different stories.
  21. I have That Girl on DVD and it is another one of my favorite classic shows. Some of my favorite the episodes are when Don and Ann go visit Ann's parents like when she gets locked in the folding bed. Another great show is Ozzie and Harriet.
  22. In the late 70's he hosted a Nickelodeon show called America Goes Bananaz and then went on to Texas 1980-82 and hosted Kids Are People Too at the same time he was on that soap. After that it was mainly bit roles and commercials. Here is a current pic of him.
  23. A 1987 Denorex commercial with Randy Hamilton.
