  1. WOW !...Thanks for sharing. I thought we would never see a full episode of this lost show surface.
  2. I have read over the years that Don Stewart (Mike) often disapproved about some of his onscreen pairings. I felt he and Lezlie Dalton were sexy onscreen. Did Stewart like that pairing or was she one of the actresses he complained about ? He was also being thrown together briefly with Pickett's Jackie which went nowhere before Marland brought in Geraldine Court as Jennifer. Who were the pairings he griped about ?
  3. It was weird that Elizabeth never returned to the canvas after she departed in 1981. Even if Lezlie Dalton had no interest to return they could have recast. Jackie could have also been brought back from the dead at some point.
  4. I wish more of the Dobsons GL was available. In the late 70's the show was on fire. I'm grateful for those clusters of 1977 & 1979 episodes. Everyone praises the character of Rita, but I really love Jackie Marler played by Cindy Pickett. I loved to watch her little nuances/quirks in scenes. She also seemed to ad lib often. Lezlie Dalton was wonderful too as the long suffering Elizabeth. I remember reading a post on youtube that stated Marland wanted the Elizabeth character gone when he came aboard ? Within a few years all those characters involved in Phillip's parental storyline were gone. Even Alan left for a few years.
  5. 1976 Guiding Light opening at the 59:43 mark
  6. I loved those early seasons. I know most of the episodes were self contained, but a lot of gems in there. The gay storyline was groundbreaking for the late 70's with the Kit character being written with respect. Charlene did a surprisingly good job with that material. The Alan Beam character was a lot of fun. Too bad he never returned in the later years seeking revenge. Mary Crosby was excellent as the scheming Kristin. I felt they killed her off way too soon. She could have driven story for years.
  7. You are welcome. I just ran across it and wanted to share. Yes, he has done many interviews with actors from yesteryear. I see he recently did one with Leigh Taylor Young from Peyton Place etc...and one with Larry Wilcox from CHIPS.
  8. Here is a 1973 episode of Owen Marshall, Counselor At Law featuring pre KL Donna Mills and Michelle Phillips. Jed Allen also appears.
  9. What are some of you favorite storylines or scenes from the early years of the show ? Some of mine are: Lucy takes off on her birthday and is picked up by Willie (played by Greg Evigan) in his custom van complete with shag carpet and 8 track. It was cheesy fun and screams late 70's. About a week after this episode aired Evigan would debut in his own series B.J. & The Bear on NBC. Jock's heart attack. Pam catches a half lit Sue Ellen playing lady of the manor on the stairs and confronts her. Miss Ellie walks in as Sue Ellen tells Pam she plans to take over and throw her out. Bobby & J.R.'s plane goes down and the family tries to keep the news from Jock. Sue Ellen starts hitting the sauce and tells Pam she thinks she's a gold digger. Pam slaps the piss out of Sue Ellen knocking her to the floor. This may be one of the first bitch slaps on a soap. Lucy & Kit are engaged and Kit confesses to Bobby he is gay and wants to break the engagement. Bobby discusses it with J.R. who already knows all about Kit's past. He argues with Bobby that Lucy should still marry him despite the fact. Sue Ellen is drunk falls down the stairs and Lucy is high on pills hovering over her. Ray comes in and tries to handle the situation.
  10. Full 1972 episode of Password with guests: Sheila MacRae & Martin Milner. Includes original commercials (featuring Mary Frann in a ratty brown wig or bad shoe polish dye job & Leslie Charleson).
  11. Re: Nikki & Lucas. They would have been awesome together onscreen. Instead we have had endless decades of her pining and making a fool of herself over the Crypt Keeper. Poor Lucas never caught a break. I remember several people who watched back then say they never understood Lorie & Leslie fighting over boring and bland Lance when they could have had sexy Lucas.
  12. She also did something to herself a little bit earlier than that. She really started to look wonky around the time of J.R. & Sue Ellen's remarriage/wedding. 1978: 1982:
  13. Victoria was heartbreaking during Bobby's death. The scene where he flatlines in the hospital you can also see the soul drain out of Pam. Principal could often be uneven in her acting. There are times should would knock it out of the ballpark and there were times she was coasting into Susan Lucci territory. When Dallas started in 1978 Principal was stunning to look at with her long flowing hair and figure. Sometime in the early 80's after her break up with Andy Gibb she started with the the unnecessary cosmetic surgery and often had bad hairstyles and dye jobs with her Jhirmack endorsement deal.
  14. DRW50 Thanks for sharing this and the ATWT episode.
  15. I wonder how she and Tammi got along ? Zenk seems to have had friction with a lot of her co-stars.
  16. Too bad that Barbara and Tom never married back in the day. James and Margo could have schemed to break up the couple. I remember a SOD interview with Zenk where Margaret Colin happened to see her and say hello' Zenk commented to the interviewer " She was my Margo and Deas was my Tom". I think that is odd since most of her scenes where played with Tom Tammi.
  17. The rapid aging thing reminds me of what they did on Family Ties. If I recall correctly baby Andrew aged from a newborn to a toddler in a single season.
  18. It's weird to think that stuff that aired in the 1980's would become rare and hard to find. There is very little of Rituals and The Catlins that has surfaced.
  19. They pretty much kept Tom in his 30's for 2 decades. I would love to see some of Peter Galman and C. David Colson's ATWT run surface. Galman once stated he was looking for footage on his youtube page.
  20. I liked Tammi & Marx versions of Tom. Scott Holmes grated on my nerves. It would have been interesting if they had been able to get Peter Galman back as Tom when Lien was introduced. Galman played the first adult Tom back from Vietnam 1969-1974.
