  1. I mean, casting handsome, young, white men with floppy hair isn't exactly a new thing for soaps. All these characters are supposed to be handsome, young, white men so it's not odd. If we want to talk about Trina's love interest being Cardboard Kai I can agree. This isn't the same thing.
  2. I think we all dodged a bullet when Violet didn't get flown in to sing with the kids.
  3. I am not Jason, but I shared your confusion. I thought Shawn mentioned he had to get on a flight to see Bo a few days ago. If he was just in Salem this whole time Shawn could have easily stopped by as could everyone else that was super concerned. I don't think they would move someone in that dire condition on a plane or anything, so it seems like a continuity error IMO.
  4. As much as I love JJ and Lucky I don't think he should be able to make that call. I don't really think I needed to hear Eden McCoy sing some weird auto tuned ballad with Trina today instead. Carly's shake it off speech to Lulu was funny. "JOSS is singing!!" Get your priorities straight Lesley Lu lol
  5. I did get that full circle moment and appreciated it.
  6. Umm.. that would be highly insensitive considering Drake died of cancer.
  7. I would have preferred it happened off screen as well. The excitement his family had about him coming back makes it that much sadder and tragic. I don't really need to see a family say goodbye to not-John. I won't even go on my Orpheus rant who's beef is actually with Roman and not John.
  8. We will agree to disagree on this. He would go see Marlena first, explain he has to help Bo, and then go meet Steve, Shawn, Hope, etc. I know that realistically isn't possible, but John would never keep Marlena hanging like that IMO. She's always been the most important person to him. There were also MULTIPLE people working on the Bo situation. John could have taken 1/2 hour to see Marlena especially when she was obviously so worried about him.
  9. Yes. I am not capable of telling you what my perfect ending would be for John, but I think it would involve being a hero and taking out Orpheus or even a now alive Stefano or something. But then they would win. Idk, it just an impossible circumstance for the writers. There is no way the John we know would just immediately go help Bo before going to see his family. I had a similar feeling when John was killed off in a "random" car accident years ago, but that obviously wasn't permanent.
  10. Yeah. As one of the biggest John and John/Marlena fans here I don't like this exit. I know the circumstances were difficult and Drake apparently signed off on this. I think him dying while killing Orpheus was the way to go. There isn't a scenario I can imagine John not immediately running home to see Marlena before he helps Bo. It's very difficult to watch his family wait for him and be so excited. I am positive the aftermath will be great. I just don't love the exit.
  11. I am not a big Anna/Duke fan, but that was an awful return. IB/FH certainly are better together than Anna/Valentin though. I could care less about the tango. I don't know why some actors are doing multiple performances anyhow lol. I certainly don't need the Chase variety show hour. IIRC, Jonathon Jackson can sing just as well as JS or Bradford, but I guess Lucky and head nurse Liz aren't cool enough to get an invite.
  12. I don't think Josh Swickard's voice is horrible or anything, but the show makes it seem like he could just casually take up a singing career if he felt like it because he's that talented. He's not. I am not sure he would even be able to be a backup singer on Broadway or in most bands. I thought DZ was the worst of all the dancers, but adorably so. You could tell this wasn't in DZ's wheelhouse and it was fun. On the very light-hearted end of the Nurses Ball shindig. Gio Mazza continues to impress. What a find. It's a shame it took the show an entire year to give him any meaty material. While Joss was off playing spy games on air way too long. The violin smashing was perfectly in character with someone related to Sonny lol. Nature vs Nurture. The Corinthos side won.
  13. Great point. GH will never go there and it's just like we love Robin? And the cure. It's not a bad cause and it's great to have a cause in these times. It feels a little dated to me, IMO. Also, Emma called Sonny "Mr. Corinthos" and not Uncle Sonny and I have never been happier. Who told Josh Swickard that he could sing? Dominic Zamprogna's inability to dance is adorable for some reason.
  14. Honestly, Gio's performance was probably one of the best Nurse's Ball performances ever. It shows how contrived and silly every other act was. 90's Nurse's Balls had their silliness too, but it tended to be with characters we cared about-not two nurses that get trotted out 3 times a year lol. There was also some genuine singing talent happening with Vanita Harbour, Rosalind Cash, and even Ricky Martin. I don't think anyone on the current cast has that high quality of a singing voice. I suppose Ned can go rock out again lol. The other issue with the Nurses Ball is that the cause isn't very relevant. Obviously, it's amazing how far we have come with HIV/AIDS treatment, but without Robin, Stone, Jon Hanley, the Quilt, etc. it's hard to feel like the cause is close to anyone's heart except for a few people that were near and dear to Stone/Robin.
  15. He's so talented and good looking some people get all the genes lol. I think the acoustics always sound weird to me when it's on the GH stage. I am not exactly a musical snob, but his violin always sounds too high pitched when he's playing on camera. It's clearly not like that in his videos so it has to be something else.
  16. Yes. Are any of them famous? I suppose Drew and Laura would warrant an interview because they are politicians but he's hosting. Lucy and some of the acts also make sense to interview, but it's not like a world-famous supermodel is there. She wasn't invited lol. Why would anyone care about Cody and Molly? I also wonder where this airs. Years ago, when Britt and Liesel? Brad? were watching it on tv it looked like a Public Access channel like those local stations everyone gets. Going back to the MS Nina days she has hosted on and off. I don't get it, but it's always been a thing. Drew hosting perplexes me. I think it loosely has something to do with Aurora, but he's not involved in that anymore, right? I think the whole red carpet stuff looks cheap and ugly. I liked when they just showed a montage of the couples and people arriving during the first scenes of the Nurse's Ball. Something like this: I apologize for the absolutely awful quality, but Alan singing and people coming in looks much better.
  17. I mean I totally can see how you thought it was his grandkid. It was the late in life Carly/Sonny pregnancy no one needed. The little girl is so cute though.
  18. Lol. Donna is his daughter.
  19. Kevin dated Mimi in high school. That doesn't mean he's not gay, but that wasn't indicated in the Last Blast Reunion either. Although I believe Kevin was well off in the Last Blast Reunion so it's strange he has a "roommate", but you know Salem living space is hard to come by lol
  20. Great thought. I mostly forgot about Kate's cancer.
  21. I assume in name only? One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy. If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier. Just saying. I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
  22. Lol! Lulu can just give him a 23andme kit for his upcoming birthday and let chaos ensue as well.
  23. I suppose I am glad Lulu and Cody are trying to figure this out in a fact-based manner, but wouldn't it save everyone a lot of time if they just stole Gio's hairbrush and compared it against Rocco's DNA? Lol.
  24. I am fine with no one mentioning Bob-ette again. It's frustrating not ever knowing what was up with him truly or why we wasted so much time on that to never get a conclusion. I am willing to forget it though. Abe being on the board makes more sense to me because of Lexie and Theo. I think there was a wing dedicated to Autism research or treatment years ago possibly named after Theo and Lexie was the chief of staff at some points and worked there for years. I could see Abe having interest in the hospital still.
  25. Exactly. And it's not like Stephanie didn't live a life when Hennig played her. There are so many stories and relationships you can mine from her past. And we just got......a book and sex with Alex or the random Bobby backstory which no one needed 😂 I trust new writing can get the character back on track. Like I said, I do think Abigail Klein has charisma.
