Well, what a waste of JJ and Liz/Lucky. I sincerely thought Natalia was going to die in a drunk driving accident today, but I guess not.

I like the pool set as well. It's something different, guys and girls in skimpy clothes and all that. I dislike when they have characters in full on business attire having meetings there though. That seems silly. The pool depth is also ridiculous. They should just have characters sitting on the side with their feet in the pool if they can't shoot it correctly.

I definitely think FV wanted to pair Kristina and Lucky. Why else would Lucky decide to become a bartender at her stupid bar? Lucky was a cop, a crusader?-whatever he was doing in Africa and all these years away. It makes zero sense for him to just be content tending bar for some flakey girl he knew since she was born. Have him work with Spinelli at PI firm or something. There were also some scenes with Kristina and Lucky that seemed like the show was leaning in that direction. I also suspect JJ was extremely unhappy with that idea lol. As far as Lulu, I certainly don't miss the JMB smug era. I hate that BLQ looks like a poor, innocent victim being tortured by Lulu at every turn though.

I have never been much of a Lulu fan either since the JMB days. I do think Alexa Havins is really a great recast. When Lulu returned it was at the expense of Sam (no loss to me) but not the best for audience favor, she was barely on screen for weeks after she woke up, then went to run off and put everyone in danger to find Charlotte at the expense of her other child, and finally moved on to this Brook/Dante baby investigation. Lulu never had a chance to grieve the years she lost, re-bond with her family or her friends, re-integrate herself back into town, or be anything more than a chaos creator. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn is this poor, innocent victim that's being bullied by Lulu. I don't think Lulu is right. I would just like a little more subtlety in the writing.

I think the writing is slanted against Lulu. I don't think there is an issue with the character in general. I just think Lulu doesn't get many layers or nuance in her writing. Lulu becomes obnoxious and a bully to Brook Lynn and both characters SHOULD have flaws.

Given the way both Lulu and Lucky are written I can guess. Do Lulu and Lucky even speak? Lol Liz is useful to prop one of Frank's pets when they are failing, I suppose. It's shame GH loves to do the opposite of what fans want.

Yeah I just took it as the life Marlena truly wanted and needed started with John that day. She lived a life before with loves and happiness, but found her soul mate in John. Besides, I don't expect Marlena to get into semantics of her previous loves with her husband that clearly has little time left. And, yes, @j swift in Salem you just say Happy Anniversary whenever you multi time married friends decide what day they want to celebrate it lol.

I could see Liz not caring too much about the Gio reveal, but Lucky covering for Kristina almost killing people, herself included, deserves a reaction. Lucky hardly even knows Kristina. And the conversation just ended with Lucky going to make dinner, WHAT!!? Maybe both Lucky and Liz are high on her painkillers lol.

I always wished Don would have returned so Marlena and Don could have a hilarious conversation about how it was reasonable to not be able to tell the difference between your spouses. Whoops!😂 At least Sam was Marlena's twin....

Poor Sami and Eric!! Yes, DJ died because Marlena dared to work through her pregnancy in Don's mind. Whatever, Don.

The writing for Lucky/Liz is really erratic. Is that a ring Lucky has? Are Lucky and Liz even officially dating lol? I actually entirely forgot about Natalia. I guess the Eva La Rue experiment is over.

KA started in 1983 both KA and DH left in 1987. KA appeared for a few months in 1990. Deidre came back in 1991 and KA returned again in 1994. Outside of Deidre's firing in 2009 and KA leaving they always were in one another's orbits. Hope was more part of the young crowd in the 80's, but they still shared stories due to Bo/Roman. I would say both characters had different periods of prominence, but overall it was very equal. I would say even someone like Ali/Sami might have Roman and Don beat out as far as episodes appearing with Marlena, but that wasn't really the original question lol

Kristen also raped John post-Paris with a Magic Mirror. Her pregnancy was "delicate" and they couldn't be intimate. She had already lost the baby, needed to get pregnant immediately again and set a Stefano tricked out Magic Mirror to hypnotize John and John thought he was having sex with Marlena. John woke up the next day and thought it was a dream.

I have no idea why Gio would go to Sonny first since he told Emma he thought Sonny knew about him all along. Maybe to clarify if Sonny knew? Considering Sonny didn't know Dante was his son back then it doesn't really matter. I am sure Sonny will make some wise parallel about his father leaving and his mother dying or being lied to by Olivia and Gio will see the light.

I know I have heard Orpheus mention it, at least in passing. I still don't know why exactly he hates John though. It seems Orpheus was heavily leaning into a Stefano moment of Marlena obsession, but then he always wanted to murder her a bunch so it's unclear.

Xander is Victor's son, but thought he was his nephew until Victor's will. His mom is an alcoholic who ran Sarah down then left town. He's got a kid with Sarah and then is related to the rest of the Kiriakis brood. I would argue Orpheus lost his purpose years ago. I lost the plot with Orpheus when his entire beef was with John and not Roman. The person who actually killed his wife. Too be kind I'll just say it looks like Chandler was a bit out of practice at the old acting game. He's never stopped smirking.

I am the first to say I don't have the perfect scenario for John's death in my head. I think it would have had something to do with saving the world from Orpheus and killing Orpheus once and for all, but losing his own life in the effort. I am actually sad Orpheus is still alive and well doing dastardly deeds. I GET the saving Bo idea. I just am not sure I want to say, "Oh, yeah, John died in a meth lab. Some kid attacked him and he burned to death" I love all the actors coming back to pay tribute. It's lovely. I think it would have been smarter for Marlena, Kayla, etc to say this is grave for John-it's time to say goodbye. Not add in all the "he's doing great and on the road to recovery". I assume it's a nod to Drake about always fighting, but, man, if you didn't know Drake had passed the rug would be pulled out from under you next week as an audience member.

Yes. I found it tacky too. I would have preferred John to die off screen as well. Although I do enjoy everyone getting a chance to say goodbye and then wander around the hospital giving 3 second life updates to one another lol. I don't doubt the actors are crying real tears. I honestly find it tackier that the show is dragging this part on and saying John's recovery is a miracle and he's doing so much better when we know the ending. That's just my opinion. I do see a lot of praise for the story.

Sometimes I think GH forgets it's Friday lol. Today's episode was fine, but a letdown after the rest of the week.

Even if you put the rape and the fact he was married to her sister for so long, it's a bit hard for me to buy EJ/Belle have strong feelings for one another. They've known one another for years and years and there was never any indication they were attracted to each other until recently. Then the first time they hooked up EJ immediately dumped her, went on to marry Nicole and steal her own brother's baby, then slept with Gabi. I don't see any appeal for Belle here outside the obvious. I do think MM and DF have nice chemistry though. On a different note, what is on Belle's shirt? Are they people running, crawling, riding bikes, in wheelchairs, all of the above? The shirt is so distracting. Worn on TV wasn't much help as I still couldn't get a close up picture.

But it's from a viewpoint of I didn't watch back then so it didn't happen lol. It's really not a huge deal. We generally share the same views. But ignoring big plot holes doesn't make it a good story because actors are doing great work. I actually mentioned you had a good point about fallout.

Belle is stupid. A shame to her cool parents. That's all.....

I think it's a bit dismissive to just hand wave all the inaccuracies in this story because we are getting a few weeks of good material off this. I do agree the follow through is a different discussion, but I would bet in 3 months time everything will be all good in the Lois, BLQ, Dante, Gio world.

But why would Maggie want to deal with owning the hospital? What does she gain? People could buy the hospital in town, but only a few know or care about the drug which is the only reason these two jokers want the hospital. Sure, Sarah keeps her job, but Sarah is a Dr. of all trades. She can find a new place to practice. I think Stefano and Victor were both equally rich lol.
