GH: October 2025 Discussion Thread
I don't doubt the veracity of CM's statements and believe that's how he felt. I also believe GH is a toxic environment from what we have heard. I am the first person to say get rid of Frank. I just imagine Charles trying to start some sort of cast mutiny, all distinguished and serious, talking about personal integrity, and the rest of the cast being "Yeah, sorry Chuck, we have bills to pay so we deal with it" lol.

Lol! When I read this I assume it's about Frank and his favorites and all that nonsense. I also feel it's a little shady to the cast. SOME people can be happy there, but I wouldn't sell my soul to work there like them. NO judgment though!!! I am not sure that was his intention, but that's how I took it.

I took it as both, but it's hard to say with that one tweet. And he was replying to an 8 month old tweet by LW, so it seems he still has some feelings about it lol.

I think Brady has actually gone through the biggest character development since John's death. He was always a bit of a screw up, made bad decisions, never settled down, works for the family business, has no home, etc, etc. Now Brady is taking time to evaluate decisions and thinking what John would do instead of making stupid choices because he wants to live up to his dad's legacy. I like that for him, even though I will always think Paul is the obvious John successor.

I always thought Brady was kind of dumb to be honest lol.

To be fair, multiple people have discussed the baby having Asian features. Amy Choi told Leo he looks just like her son did as a baby, Sophia told Melinda everyone will know the baby is partly Asian, and Rafe, Leo, and Javi have all commented about it. It's not like it's been completely ignored.

It's kind of hilarious there's all this drama over a character that has always been a B player.

If what we think about Aaron is true I don't think he's a lousy friend. Tate's always been a lousy friend to him. It's teenage stuff. He could have hooked up with Sophia, she started dating Tate, said the baby was Tate's and dealt with his own major stuff being relieved he wasn't the father. At 17 or 18 I don't expect everyone to be that mature.

I have always suspected Aaron was the father, but I wouldn't put it past Melinda doing something wacky like switching the results, especially since Kayla didn't do them herself.

Do you think Monty was tiring of the characters of Anna/Robert as well or just being petty with the actors? The Robert/Anna stories at the time weren't my favorite, but I wasn't sure if it was just based on GM disliking the actors, jealous of their popularity, or running dry on ideas for them.

Yeah, JJ looked like a bad officer and was way too intense. Odd way to develop JJ now. It may have helped if the show used JJ for all the months Moss has been back.

If Kirsten was in the role Belle would be in an asthma related coma and gone indefinitely.

I am sure the untold story of Belle's asthma struggles is riveting though. As riveting as anything else Belle does honestly.😂 Fair enough about previous retcons.

I do get that sense. It was a story they wanted to tell but didn't get the chance. Which, again, doesn't negate the story currently playing. It's just a lot of backtracking on what we previously knew about their relationship. I assume you are talking about Theo/JJ, not Belle's asthma lol.

I remember Belle being allergic to Penicillin, but I don't think it's been brought up since child Belle ate the chocolates from Kristen. The asthma thing is odd. Idk, Theo and JJ were more than just casual friends. They were roommates, business partners, and best friends. I am not saying Theo isn't right to have these feelings or the scenes are bad, it does feel like it came out of nowhere to me. Everyone's milage may vary on that though.

I still don't get Belle's never before known asthma and the fact she slept with EJ, but the cologne prompts multiple asthma attacks now? Weird. A panic attack would have done the same job and wouldn't have been so out of the blue. I agree Theo's PTSD is coming out of nowhere. I don't doubt he has it, but it seems odd that he and JJ ran a company together, were very close, and lived in South Africa together for years and this discussion never came up. I am no expert on PTSD though, so what do I know? I am probably in the minority, but I find Xander and Sarah's make up and break ups tedious. It reminds me a lot of Eric and Nicole where the couple keeps getting back together, but nothing has actually changed about either person and they make the same mistakes over and over again.

Yes, I basically think I am nitpicking minor things, but it felt like it escalated so quickly. Tracy even knew this woman existed. I guess I have to see how the Ronnie character plays out. I don't have any great investment in Slezak or Victoria Lord like most and it felt to me like the scenes were just written as Emmy bait. Good actors, but not the best motivation for that type of argument.

GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
I agree the argument felt a little too intense from the jump. I get Tracy's protectiveness, but it didn't seem like Ronnie was doing anything wrong in the moment.

Has Belle always had asthma? This is the first I've heard of it. Why is Susan even still in town? I think we all know why no child showed up to Rachel's birthday party now lol. Cat's backstory is terribly confusing. She traveled, backpacked around Europe, studied Russian cultural, worked for the ISA and then got into the accident with her parents? Then had years of plastic surgery and hooked up with Clyde for the Abby scheme? I was under the impression was in the accident as a teen, but it appears she would have been mid 20's.

It played awful back then. It felt oddly personal for Ron to attack SK like that. I have no idea why Ron hated AJ/SK since he was doing good work. I full enjoyed his return.
-
GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
Yeah, they'd have AJ himself and other characters comment about AJ's build during SK's 2nd return. It was "joking" but it was mean spirited.
-
GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
BW's AJ gets increasingly bad writing under Guza where he's always being played a fool or looking like a loser. Even when SK returned and Ron openly made fat jokes about AJ, SK still had some confidence and swagger. Although I wouldn't blame SK for never returning.
-
GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
No. Jason (and Robin) were both aware Michael was AJ's. Jason/Carly let everyone else think Jason was the father. Robin ended up telling AJ later on and that ended Jason/Robin. I vastly prefer SK's AJ. BW is capable, but he was miscast, IMO.

GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
No. Whoever said that is either trying to make more of their relationship or is mistaken lol. I remember Monica being quite thrilled when Jason and Brenda got "married" in 2002, so that may have created the impression they were closer than they were. Can you even think of a memorable Monica/Brenda scene? I am sure they had one on one scenes at some point, but I can only recall them interacting in group settings or in the Q living room with others around.

GH: September 2025 Discussion Thread
You could even do it without either Sean Kanan or Amber. You could just show a character leaving flowers for Monica and heavily imply it's one of the two that are alive. Obviously, the brief glimpse of Sean would be the most dramatic. I don't feel the need for everyone that once broke bread and had some chats with Monica in 2002 to come back because they are popular characters. The fact is most of the people closest to Monica are dead whether on screen or in real life. We also don't need a bunch of kid actors at a funeral. I see the idea, but it's uncomfortable to film and it's not like these kids are great actors and would bring something to the table.
