It would actually be very fitting as a callback to when Sonny slept with Carly and Jason 'lost' the Michael/Carly family he made or stole from AJ. But I know Jason will be like it's all yours take it back please the minute Sonny comes back because that's just the way the weird relationship has always worked. I am not really wanting a Carly/Jason romance, but that's probably where the show should go for the most emotional impact and fallout because why go there at all if you aren't going to go all the way?

They were always going at it even if it was just fantasies. Jen/Peter and Carrie/Austin were really hot too. Lol. Well that's a way to make money I guess. I loved that Austin and Sami had to get married to get him back. Apparently the French government has jurisdiction over American babies that were kidnapped?

It was actually Brash and Cwikly. The Gemini twins first appeared in July 2002 and Langan was out early in the year. Langan did a lot crappy Jarlena and Bope stuff with Brady and Zack/JT. He was one of the main pusherers of the John/Hope supercouple idea lol. That was his second favorite idea after the Saved by the Belle stuff. The DH's weren't always as over the top swoony with each other. That's is definitely something that started in the mid-90's when John started being portrayed as the ultimate hero/stud and Marlena would fall all over him, but neither could figure out they loved each other. Because everyone in JER's universe was unable to process normal social cues or have a normal conversation that would clear up minor misunderstandings. I don't remember Drake being that racy in scenes with Isabella or Diana, but I remember it with Kristen. That scene wasn't so bad but there was a lot of ED is lingerie in the beginning. And his love scenes with Hope were pretty racy too. I miss love scenes. I miss John/Marlena or Bo/Hope just having a romantic night just because. Why did Will get kidnapped? Did she just think Sami was a crappy mother? And I love everyone had to meet up in Paris.

The Salem High Stuff was bad because the main stars of the show were stuck endlessly supporting their kids and doing nothing of there own. It took Shawn and Belle like two years to kiss. There is slow burn and there is me completely losing interest. I love that scene. Don't worry Marlena! I am sure Sami won't bring this up for the next 30 years. She will get over it lol. I forgot how sexual early John/Kristen were. John sure makes a quick jump from Isabella to Marlena to Kristen to Paul's mom who all got pregnant. That's 4 babies in 5 years. Thank you. Winter Heat does actually sound better than One Stormy Night, but I don't remember them that way. Night Sins is the only one I have re-watched fairly recently. I like Night Sins because it's a party to and you are so suspenseful about who is going to catch John/Marlena. I did not think it would be Sami.

Yeah, but by the time CC was ending on GL something about her persona was very unlikable. I think had she played her cards right she could have had a long, successful career at Days probably to this day. Or maybe Kristian Alfonso and Deidre Hall would have murdered her in her sleep. 🤣🤷‍♀️ Her career was fine and she's still with MS so I am sure she is happy with her choices, but they still seemed mismanaged somehow. I was never a big fan of CC/Carly show so I don't really care, but the character went out tied to Daniel Jonas and Melanie. Thanks! I remember the loony bin stuff and I remember it being scary. Vivian being bald creeped me out. JER started in late 1992 with Sheri Anderson, so this was definitely him. I just never remember that episode as fondly as the other two. Maybe because the other stuff is so boring. I am not sure if Jane/Deidre are still close. They might still be, but they had been friends since their pre-Soap Days on Electra Woman. Lol this ad!!! I love it!!

I think CC played Maggie the juggling almost nun. I don't think she took vows officially. Anyhow, she left town to join juggling school for real. I can only imagine what a letdown that was for CC and OLTL after her super popular run as Carly. Days had 3 primetime specials One Stormy Night, Night Sins, and Winter Heat. The first two were better with Nights Sins being the obvious #1 because I think Winter Heat mostly focused on Bo/Billie and Carrie/Austin and nothing really happened that I can recall. Maybe something with Laura/Vivian in the sanitarium? I am surprised so many have not seen Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story because it used to replay on Lifetime all the time about 15-20 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if still does. There has been some rumors about Deidre Hall/Jane Elliot's friendship over the years for sure. They used to talk a lot it more. I am not sure if they are still besties. That beings said, I don't think Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story was trying to give out lesbian undertones with the Deidre/Shane relationship, but if I watch it again I will let you know.🤣 From what it looks like you can still get it on Amazon, Youtube, and Itunes. It looks like you do have to pay for it.

I forgot about Laura. Totally could have hooked up with Roman. They could have used that blonde cop that was always hanging around too. Taylor? She seemed into him and Bo. I am assuming if you are watching the Dee Hall bio pic you are not into facts at all because....ummm..Daniel Hugh Kelley does not resemble her husband at the time even a tiny bit. I guess Drake just didn't get an invite to be in the movie. But Suzanne Rogers did lol. I don't even know. Was Jane Elliot contractually bound to something because the real people in her movie are kind of off how she depicts her relationships. Her life does actually fascinate me, but I don't think I learned anything from that movie.

Yeah to work with the same actress right? It does feel like Deidre is a little cold. She seems to be close but not very close with her castmates. She just seemed to know her worth and went with it. Yes. You are correct. I think I confused him with Trucker from Loving lol. I don't know why. I just knew he had a random new career. Yes that story was a mess. too bad her issues basically blocked her from any further long term appearances.

It's highly problematic he was hired in the first place. It's more of a disgrace that he was hired on GH after his known problems on Days. But who knows? He was married to Parrish for 20 years maybe he changed his ways? I think he does wood working or something now... He was a charismatic screen presence.

Umm..it's a pretty good time. I am not sure her struggle with fertility ranks as a 2 hour bio pic, but this was like way before surrogates were a thing, so sure Dee. Go on an play your beauteous self. Listen, I have no doubts DH was a huge diva. But she seems to have let that go and is a team player now. She will always be the face of Days and Crystal will be that girl who gave birth to Melanie lol..... I am pretty sure RKK was fired for multiple things including dating Miriam Parrish. Alison sweeney's mother took her off the set because he was creepy to her. That's why Sami was gone for the entire Possession. Plus, Crystal, Lisa Rinna, and Kristian Alfonso complained about him. It wasn't an isolated incident. He ended up being married to Parrish for years. It was his other aggressive behavior as well. He threw a chair at his old co-star at AW so his problematic behavior was known. I was saying if I didn't know this I would consider him a great recast. He was good. He just wasn't a good person.

Oh, I definitely think CC was an issue, but Deidre was the one to actually push it. And I don't fault DH for it. I honestly don't think Dee was that worried about her airtime when she had other pans in the fire (mainly the now classic "Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story"). I think she was just annoyed at an obnoxious newbie being extra and holding up production. Deidre had things to do in 1992 lol!!. They didn't share a ton of scenes, but nothing ever showed on camera being awkward or weird, so at the end of the day that's kind of all you need. I think she also may have took a stance on MS/CC being mean to Lynn who is obviously a good friend of hers. I mean, it's pretty obvious Deidre won this game. CC has had a decent career, but DH is a living legend so I am sure it's all fine now. There is a lot more of CC being problematic on the internet than DH, so I am inclined to believe that, but I am sure neither were the easiest to work with in their heyday.

It sucks because it really isn't the actors fault, but i have an instant bias going in because we just don't need him on GH. So many other people to hire that are useful.

Christie got fired for not looking mature enough. They made her re-try out for the part with PM I think before they let her have the role again. CC says TM was working the day she was auditioning. Yikes! I didn't think TM looked that much more mature, but whatever. Lol! Crystal Chappell was like in her 20's fighting with Deidre Hall. I think Hall is the one who had the issue though not so much CC. With her airtime and professionalism.

RKK was a good recast and I think he was very popular. I think he may have been one of the best Days recasts ever if he wasn't a creeper. MBE and Drake are the only two who I can think of that were more popular. Crystal was just a drama magnet I think? She got into it with Deidre too so I think the show cut it's losses with Michael Sabatino, but not CC. I believe it was her choice to leave over his firing. I really liked TM on 90210. I don't think she was that bad as Carrie, but she wasn't Christie and it was silly to fire Christie so she was just reviled. And she was so much brattier and sexier than she should have been and was a jerk to her entire family lol.

I am not at all ashamed to say I may look that up on you tube today. I think Lynn Herring suffered the most from that shuffle. Lisanne was a mess of a character. Plus I think CC gave her a hard time about doing love scenes with MS? I remember Wayne was quoted as saying 'calm down, it's acting' at the time and WN actively complained about LH's poor treatment on the set. Wasn't Julie in a love story with a young Dr at the time? What was Bill Hayes doing at the time? He couldn't have appeared on the show? ETA: I just realized it was Jay Pickett RIP. I am one of the few people who think Wayne could have remained on the canvas just maybe sans Marlena. He basically left Sami hanging and I never liked that. It just seems so un-Roman like to leave his kids. I don't really see a love interest for him on the canvas in 1994, but I assume they could have found someone. I actually think RKK was a good recast. He was just a problematic person. I don't think his actual work was bad and he had fire chemistry with Lisa Rinna. 1992 was such a mess with a bad Carrie recast, John with that Romulous diamond story, Roman's Mrs. Doubtfire story, the show toying with Lawrence/Carrie, Kayla/Shane, Hawk/Jack/Jen. I think Isabella's death and maybe some Carly stuff are the only things that hold up. The rest can be forgotten. By 1993, the show just revitalized itself. Jarlena affair, Austin/Carrie, Sami's re-introduction, bringing on Kate for Victor/Vivian, Bo/Billie, Kristen's introduction.......basically everything worked in that year.

Yeah I believe that too. I have no idea why Deidre and Wayne kept re-signing after their 6 month contracts expired. It's like the show had NO PLANS for them after the Tale of 2 Romans, but again I thought this was a SG/Isabella thing that messed it up. I have always heard they pushed the entire Affair story back because SG demanded a lot of money and they were surprised she decided to quit when she didn't get it. I believe Wayne actually did play some hardball and was off contract for a minute when he left town to figure out the Bo kidnapping (PR leaving/Rkk assuming the role) @JAS0N47would probably have the receipts on that. I guess they just kept throwing tv movies and spinoffs at Deidre. I don't think that time for Days was great backstage either. I think the Roger/Stella stuff started in mid-1992. So she wasn't really on the sidelines that long, but it did seem like it because she never interacted with John or Isabella or anyone other than Roman and appeared at parties. TM's Carrie being a total bomb probably didn't help much either. I do think she filmed a few tv movies at the time too. Didn't the Deidre Hall story air on ABC not NBC? So weird. I LOVE you know the full title. I definitely have that gem on VHS somewhere in my house still lol.

I mean, it definitely just sounds like Marlena and Carrie in the big city with some rich people thrown in and not a crazy hour of television, but AW was running on fumes. And did AW cut costs? Weren't they flying Jensen in on a helicopter? It definitely still looked better than Days does now when it went off the air lol. I honestly think something like Manhattan lives would have worked for a few years then they just would have spun the characters that were popular and Marlena/Carrie back to the main show. It's hard to say though because if you took Jarlena's kids, Roman/Marlena's kids, and kept it moving it might have worked because that's like 75% of the Days cast now lol. It could have killed it's own mother show lol. I am really interested in the Bell soap. I wonder if a half hour Bell soap and a half hour of Sunset Beach would have worked.

I loved Billie, Kristen, and Jen's friendship. I loved them all dressed up at Maison Blanche with all the intrigue going on with Stefano. I think it really is all in Missy's hands. Corday sued her and brought her back. I don't think the show will ever out right fire her or have they before? I can't remember if she left back in the 2000's or if they fired Missy and Matt. She does seemed less liked on set than someone like Ingo, who doesn't seem to get called out for his similar views by anyone except NLG. Her antics did make some news outlets, but I doubt most viewers know. I am sure she has plenty of fans still. I also think Missy becomes more valuable without Kristian Alfonso/Hope around. I wouldn't be surprised if Corday and crew and Missy were just waiting for the scandal to die down a bit.

Jarlena is a good example, but I think Brenda/Sonny on GH is better. Sonny was trash, but CL gave him a lot of layers to work around the fact VM/MB just had random crazy chemistry. I think that is a very similar situation. Sonny was basically peddling drugs and underage stripping and then had a scene or two with Vanessa and it was like 'should we keep him"? And RSW never got that depth or backstory to make it viable so I do understand that. And Ciara was underdeveloped as well. It was just a miss on Days side because they never put in any work. It was all hot sex and smoke and mirrors on this couple.

Cady just had a different take on Jen and it wasn't bad. CM just leaves me with the same impression Robin Christopher does. They are very, very good just a little cold. I was never a huge Jen fan. She was always a 2nd tier heroine to me, but I know she has a huge following. I am not sure Missy was exactly phoning it in-girl has some [!@#$%^&*] writing-but she may be tired. I always have weird sympathy for MR because I think she lives in a very controlling situation. Her actions are not appropriate at all, and I am not condoning her behavior, but I always got creeped out Scott made her quit her job and move away instead of just divorcing her like a normal human.

I think Days just fell into something. I am not sure why they ever brought RSW back as Ben. And shooting approx. 7 years out ruined it. Vk and RSW had really good chemistry and it was like 'what now'? It was too far out to change things so we just accepted a very poor written couple that makes no sense on paper. And like I said, it's a shame because it's probably one of the best younger couples in the last 20 years as far as chemistry goes.

It was always going to be a problem from the jump with the two of them. It just was never a good idea to pair her with him. And VK plays Ciara really on the obnoxious side. I think she's almost as unlikeable as him (without the murder and stuff). She has no anchor without Bo/Hope and she barely interacts with Shawn. Idk, I am not verbalizing this right, but I can understand why the have fans and why they have such detractors as well. I was never a big Ciara fan and don't remember her being terribly bright or smart although I like the little girl that played her for awhile. I think Ciara has been a mess since she was aged and VK plays her very smug these days. But I do see how they are popular with younger fans.

There has always been an earnestness that Missy brought to Jen. She is much less glamourous than Marlena or Hope but Missy has always had a natural appeal. There is something very likable about her, but her real life just isn't likable at all. I just think MR has a warmth Cady does not have naturally. Anyhow, if they said Cady was taking over the role forever I'd be fine. I just still think Missy will always be Jen. Plus, her great chemistry with MA. You aren't gonna be able to just replicate that with someone else, but CM never bothered me even though MR has played Jen since she was practically a kid. So it's kind of a wash? I like them both as Jen.

It sucks because I am actually one of the few people on this board that think Ciara/Ben have really good chemistry. VK and RSW do spark together it's just such a mess of a story.
