I agree, this was totally out of left field, just like everything else Bradley writes. Some people forget that Katie has been Brooke's cheerleader for years, even forgiving her for sleeping with Bill, which was insane. Brad gives Heather Tom these really active periods, short arcs... for her Emmys, then forgets about the character. That said, this storyline has potential, and I’ll try to enjoy it for what it is. I side with both, actually... haha. And I'll explain why. On one hand, Brooke is clearly the star of the family, always has been, always will be and to deny that... would be delusional. It’s pathetic how her sisters have latched onto her life. Donna has always been a dollar store version of Brooke. Whatever, whoever Brooke f-cked or destroyed in the 80s and 90s, Donna came to finish the leftovers in the 00s. Katie had an even sadder arc. She started as the awkward, goody-goody sister and by the mid-90s was just seen occasionally as Brooke's babysitter, practically staff in Brooke's house. Then Heather Tom’s version came in and they turned her into a heroine who dies all the time and wins awards for it. That's not a dig at HT. That's the writing. She's an exceptional actress, and she's demonstrating that once again in the current storyline. On the other hand... Brooke is a selfish bitch (which I adore) who spent all her youth (and post-youth too) fuc-king everyone's men... and she deserves to suffer and to feel like a piece of sh-t. She should not be deified or acted around like she is Stephanie. She never will be. If Katie can bitch slap Brooke into her place, metaphorically speaking, I'm here for it. But for that to happen, REALLY happen, she needs to be in active storyline mode for more than a few months. More than just to get an Emmy or a nomination. BTW - have great time this New Year's eve! ❤️

I'm putting this... just because of that chemistry. They still have a long way before I can call them one of the "best", but the potential is there.

Iris and Rachel are ANOTHER level.

I think they connected them right from the beginning - Marty's entrance into the show was through Viki and Megan. Viki helped Marty open up about her past and traumas early on. She has been motherly towards her ever since she lost her daughter, often mentioning Megan in attempt to calm Marty down. Recently, though... Marty has become more and more cruel to her. It seems the more Viki tries to help, the more defensive Marty gets. Marty reacts this way to anyone who tries to be kind to her. The first one that tried to "fix" her was Andrew - he got called a pedophile for it and she nearly destroyed his life. He could have been killed at that time. The last few months, Viki was the one trying to support her, checking in on her - she got called a Society Slut for it and publicly humiliated. So the pattern is very obvious at this point. You try to help her or love her - she bites you. HARD. And now, like proper masochists Andrew and Cassie have invited her into their home... 2 days later and she is already plotting the end of their marriage. Marty is like Kathy from East Of Eden - she's a very damaged person who ruins everything she touches. At least this has been her arc so far. Fans have told me that everything will change eventually, so I’ll be watching for that. P.S. But here is how they were months and months ago, if you are interested. :)

I experimented just to see what will happen with prompting my low IQ Windows Copilot with making a sex scandal storyline about Brooke... and the result was a mess... a hot mess... it didn't realize that Hope was Brooke's daughter at one point and thought Steffy was her daughter. What an idiotic machine. 🤣 I think it's just my AI, it probably needs updating or something like that, but I'm starving that bitch from updates.
