  1. Can't get better than this!
  2. My husband games excessively which irks me to no end. Myself... I can't play anything other than Icy Tower or Super Mario. My brain doesn't work with games. I start falling asleep trying to play... or so frustrated that I'm losing that I end up hitting the keyboard. Oh... and Sims of course... I used to make all the characters cheat on their wives with men. 😂 P.S. Haven't played these games in years probably. Maybe it's time to download Icy Tower!
  3. This show is so boring... really. I mean... really boring. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea anymore. Someone call me when all these useless characters are written off and the topic again is Brooke's vagina. Till then... I'm out. I'm too old for this sh-t.
  4. I'll be very short... (I fear I lack the intelligence to think of anything else at this point) - So... in 1 sentence - anything that has to do with the classic soaps. Meaning - more posts about classic soaps, soaps history... there is this hardcore obsession with soap nostalgia that I feel we could tap in. That's all I can think of now. Again, I'll leave the smarter people decide what else can be added or done. All I know is in my journey to classic soaps... I would love to see more posts about them. Things like Top 10 worst retcons... with video examples... descriptions and etc. Top 25 catfights. Top 50 soap cliffhangers. Just examples. There could be more diverse topics and things like analysis on past ratings... how certain storylines impacted the genre. It's a goldmine of material. I wish you @Errol amazing luck and great success with this project. SON has a special part in my heart, my favorite place in the internet. Anything that will make it even more exciting... I'm ALL for. P.S. Love the idea of podcasts... and opinion columns.
  5. In my view, 2002 was the most entertaining year of the show since 1993. However, everything fell apart in 2003 with the Ridge-Bridget storyline and numerous rewrites that left me feeling dizzy. Moreover, the overall dialogue was quite poor. Yet, I still recall 2004 as being very enjoyable. Soon, we will find out how it has fared over time... we just need to get through the final weeks of 2003.
  6. Oh my god. I hadn't opened this topic since the day I started it probably... and now I'm making a bag of popcorn and starting to read all of you guys' responses! YEEEES.
  7. Haven't watched in a long time. I have so much to catch up to. I hope The Hamilton Widow is still playing the long game? 😁 Bill hasn't croaked, right? I prefer him in a tank top... very much alive. ❤️
  8. I can't stop laughing at how triggered Musk is by what Joyce Carol Oates said about him. He's been spiraling and posting stuff about her. And trying to engage with film posts. Acting like a child who got offended by the truth.😂 She's 87 btw... and her mind is sharp like a scalpel. STAY triggered, bitch. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/joyce-carol-oates-elon-musk-twitter-x_n_69128bbee4b0f8fc6ee3be50
  9. Another change in perception I've noticed. While watching a part of 2007 episode my husband came through the room and saw Taylor... Hunter Tylo... and commented - Oh my god, she's so beautiful, so gorgeous. And I started thinking... well... back then in 2007 most people were cringing at how HT looked and the overall consensus was that she looks too artificial and bizarre and that the surgery was not successful. But that was a different era almost. That was before the culmination of social media... before all the influencers with huge fake lips and botoxed faces... instagram where everyone looks the same... tik-tok - the goldmine of Kardashians-type junk food entertainment. I started thinking that if you look at how HT's Taylor looked back then... through today's lens... you would have such a different reaction. Some would say... as my husband did... that she looked amazing even. And yet... in 2005-2007 we were all shocked how different and plastic surgery-ed she seemed. By today's standards... it's nothing almost. I don't know if this is a bad or a good sign of what has happened in society/social media/etc.
  10. Final Update on "A little life" by Hanya Yanagihara. After taking a huge... almost 2 week pause somewhere after page 200+... (Mostly because I needed time to process what I had read, since it was so powerful.) I finished it in 5 days. 5 days I didn't even sleep that much... I was reading the book every free moment I have between work and chores. It's nearly 800 pages, so that was 600 in 5 days in the second phase of my reading. So many of the pages were left smudged from my wet fingers (too much crying and touching my face). I feel uncomfortable letting anyone else read this book, maybe with the exception of my husband... because you could see where I was crying every time it happened. I am rating it 10/10. And it's been impossible to read anything else since. I'm currently waiting on a hardcover copy of "Blonde" by Joyce Carol Oates... It should arrive in couple of days and I hope I'm ready by then for something else.
  11. Terrifying. And incredibly eye opening. We can never truly know what lies beneath the surface of 99.9 percent of individuals. This is why I find it hard to trust, often taking years to fully open up to someone. I've encountered my share of individuals who revealed themselves to be deranged monsters. I vividly recall a moment nearly a decade ago when I discovered that one of my closest friends at the time was taking money from my wallet. It changed me forever... I could never be that trusting again. I believed she was like a sister to me, and the realization that I had been so oblivious to her actions for such a long time... struck me deeply.
  12. One of my favorite lines of dialogue premiered on youtube in HD! (from 2007) "You're histrionic, you're narcissistic, quite frankly... I think you're borderline." Honestly, I'm amazed how time has totally changed my perception of these episodes. Back in the day, I thought the show was in rough shape... so repetitive and bland... and for years later, I dismissed 2007 as just a forgettable mistake. But now that the official channel is finally gracing us with it in high definition, I find myself peeking at some episodes (not watching in full, just snippets here and there) and it feels like a work of art compared to the current mess that is the show in 2025. And... a million times better than the nightmare that is 2003... (we're still stuck at the end and haven't even bothered to watch in months. I might have to force watch through this nonsense.) Overall, our little classic viewing project (my husband was a total Bold newbie and started with episode 1) went pretty smoothly from 1987 to 2002, but then we hit a brick wall with the 2003 episodes. I bet a lot of people threw in the towel back then. I have to check to see the ratings. The Ridge-Bridget incest saga killed the show... and the dialogue? Absolutely atrocious. Worse than what we have now... even. The only thing I can liken it to is... a bad telenovela - repetitive, characters rambling to themselves endlessly while violins weep in the background. Just bad. I have fonder memories of 2004 and I actually enjoyed 2005 for its sheer absurdity and craziness. We'll see if we can keep this going. But honestly, it's a struggle. Still, I think there are some storylines from 2004-2016 that I want my husband to experience. After that... who knows if I'll even bother to watch again. It's just that bad.

  14. Yes, Tonja Walker. And quite frankly I prefer some of her material pre-Malone. And boy... you have some amazing stuff up ahead. The Lake Madness episodes that are the climax of her obsession with Bo are a must-see. The entire production is perfect. I am very excited for you, since anyone who hasn't yet seen late 1991-1992 is a lucky person in my mind. These episodes have made OLTL my number one soap. There are some dull moments... of course... (especially around people dying) - it's not 100 percent smooth sailing... but the highlights and the great writing/dialogue outshine everything. Right now... I am taking a couple of days pause since I have a lot of work to do and reading a book as well... but can't wait to finish 1992 and head into 1993. I see there is a strong improvement in video quality as I'm going to be entering 1993, so that's great too. Please keep us updated on while you go on this OLTL journey!

  16. Reminds me of when they were acting like presenting Brooke in lingerie in her late 60s is something the whole world needs to see NOW. People were basically flying from the entire world to see Brooke's camel toe up close. KKL looks amazing... but the lingerie and the music they used presenting her... were very tacky. Still, she rocked it as best she could... And the storyline led to nothing as usual.
