One of Trump’s Department of Labor Appointees Apparently Graduated From High School in 2015 And Any American conservatives looking to Brexit as some shining example, should realize that Nicola Sturgeon is requesting a new referendum for Scotland and whether it Remains with the U.K. As soon as the Leave votes came tumbling in, I predicted Scotland would be seriously rethinking whether to remain in Great Britain. Robert didn't look this grizzled the last time I saw him play. Half the ATP players look as if they haven't seen a razor or a comb in ages! I saw F-Lo and Benoit Paire recently and they look about one man short of a ZZ Top reunion.

It's beyond racist dog whistle now. It's so loud it's just plain old loud, non-stop whistling. Like it or not, Trump voters own this Amerikkka.

I can't help it, I really like Bryton. He's a reminder that there were far more well adjusted child actors who grew up into fairly well-adjusted adults/professionals than those who went wrong.

According this article in the NYT U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara Says He Was Fired After Refusing to Quit " Phil Singer, a former aide to Mr. Schumer and a Democratic strategist, called it “absurd” to suggest that Mr. Bharara’s firing had been meant to punish Mr. Schumer. He noted that any investigation involving Trump Tower would fall within the purview of Mr. Bharara’s office."

Bharara had also been overseeing an investigation of possible financial impropriety by Fox News Channel in regards to whether the company properly informed shareholders of the settlements with female employees over Roger Ailes' sexual harrassment activity. Interesting that, on the list to replace Bharara is Ailes' attorney. Also, it was well-known that a watchdog group had contacted Bharara to conduct an investigation into Trump's (possible) business conflicts.

That smile on Treat. Okay, I just realized that his name truly suits him. I've usually noticed Nenad for his doubles prowess but yeah, I've always taken note that he's not bad on the eyes.

Yet, he was quick to cite his tennis pedigree. His father's a part of that. So, Fritz does nothing to help with the baby, is basically what he's admitting. I don't think he'll be in the running for Father of the Year. As for IW, Dusan Lajovic notches another win, this time over Feliciano Lopez. Some players seem to be having trouble making the adjustment to the flight of the ball through the desert air...controlling the ball.

I saw that match on ESPN3. Venus was amazing! She just seemed to adjust and improve in that second set with every game. She had Jelena startled. Even with Guillermo Cañas coaching her, she could not do much in that third set against Venus. What I loved to see from Venus in those 2nd and 3rd sets is that she stepped into the court and played aggressive, no hanging behind the baseline trading groundstroke rallies with Jankovic. She took balls out of the air, she changed pace, her footwork just became very impressive, Jelena tried to run her around and she wasn't having it. I wish she could always play with that degree of consistent aggression.

All I can say at this point is, as a Black woman, I know that Black people cannot change racist attitudes. We tried. There has been some progress but for 2016, it's been pretty poor. I'm done with trying to analyze people who are not in favor of my progress or safety. They don't care about me and at this point, I don't care about them. I know it sounds harsh but that's the way I feel at this point. What us the difference to overlooking and actively contributing to the tools to someone's demise? The other day, I watched a documentary called Birth of A Movement about one man's quest to stop the film Birth of A Nation (the D.W. Griffiths film) from airing in his city. It was very eye opening, I realized that many of the racist ideas, stereotypes and tropes are embedded in American culture and the D.W. Griffith's film is where they became embedded into the public consciousness. There's nothing I can do but I have decided to spend what energy I have at this point toward self-preservation. Today, alone there was so much that I read and saw that disgusted me personally and I am just beyond trying to humanize people who want to throw away my humanity. No offense, but I give up with that.

A statement from Preet Bharara. The irony is that this wouldn't have been a big deal (new administrations replace appointees from previous administrations all the time) had it not been for the fact that the Orange dope made such a big show of inviting Bharara to Trump tower at the end of November to ask him to stay on as AG for SDNY. Perjurer General Sessions also asked Bharara to continue on at the end of last year. On the shortlist to replace Bharara is said to be former attorney to one-time sexual misconduct plaintiff, Roger Ailes, Marc Mukasey. Bharara was said to be critical of Wall Street so I think this is yet another clear signal that Trump could care less about draining any swamp-he intends to fill it to overflow. Speaking of things that were never true. Weren't we supposed to believe that the economy (rather than racist and sexist tropes) inspired many to vote for Trump? Well, take a look at what some of his supporters are up to now....but but, the economy! Trump supporters call for ‘liberal genocide’ and deportation of Jews at Arizona Rally

Ole' lying Trump had requested that Preet Bharara stay on in his position as NY State's Attorney General in November after the election, now in an abruptly announced purge of state's attorney's appointed by the Obama administration, Bharara received a notice requesting his resignation within 24 hours. Well guess what was Mr. Bharara's response to that request? US Attorney Preet Bharara doesn't plan to resign, will make President fire him Sounding like a broken record but this is yet another reminder of who this person that some put in the WH actually is. Only thing is I would not put president and Trump in the same sentence. He's just the Orange guy who golfs in Florida every weekend.

Most thinking people know it's too soon but we're talking about Trump fans here, reasonable thinking and logic are merely alternative facts to them. Something else to ponder: According to Amy Siskind, 96% of key roles in the executive branch-the ones that need Senate confirmation- have gone unfilled while Trump and lackeys filled 400 lower tiered positions with cronies, uh, lobbyists. The truth, although an inconvience for Trump and his cabal, always finds a way to emerge somehow. Republican Congressman Falls Apart And Admits That Sick People Will Be Screwed On Trumpcare

That's like Fed Cup, which is played in two days with doubles going last. We'll see how that goes but the fact still remains that the title holding team still has to defend their title almost immediately. Argentina wins the Cup in late November (damn near December), loses the Cup by February, which is ridiculous! That has to be the shortest victory lap in all of team sports! If they alternated years with Fed Cup, it might actually mean something because it would be a tad rarer. Truth!- The Politics Thread

Dusan Lajovic is not completely unknown. He's no Nolé, but he is a steady player who does not beat himself. Normally you have to beat him. Frances is still 19 years old. Tennis' years of phenom success is in the past for the foreseeable future. This was Frances second time in the main draw of a Masters ' Event (I believe). I'm going to give him some time. Hopefully Frances will grow out of the Challengers mentality of allowing yourself to get behind in a match, then believing you can catch up. In the ATP, normally when someone gets a lead, they do everything to maintain it, and the ways Dusan was serving last night- good luck with that! Dusan was serving aces and unreturnable serves in every serving game that I saw him play.- The Politics Thread
