  1. Ugh. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/star-trek-discovery-showrunners-alex-kurtzman-take-1120416
  2. Mine too. I wonder how much longer it will be around. You inspired me to go read her Twitter, which I have rarely done. The talk about her mother was heartbreaking. I was going to tweet her thanking her for her work as Dorian, but she seems to get upset at some of the tweets people send praising her so I don't know if it's a good idea...
  3. Jason Mamoa creeps me out a bit.
  4. I just looked. Awful. The mural is like something from a dystopian novel. I saw the comments in the thread trail off into Nazi talk. I wish that people were not so fixated on talking about Nazis and comparing Trump to a Nazi because I think it distracts from the clear and present danger that we are facing. I noticed that there have been more stories out lately about border patrol finding tons of people being shipped into the country illegally and being packed into crates or houses. I guess this is some kind of attempt at "good" PR to balance the bad.
  5. The targeting of women and children is heinous, but also part of a plan to attack any and all immigrants (who aren't rich and white, anyway). As one of the main arguments you often hear about immigrants is that the numbers of women and children are conflated and it's all mostly just men who are coming to kill, rob and rape. By working so hard to bar and discourage women and children from crossing the border, they know even more of those who come will fit their easy stereotype to terrify the public.
  6. One of those tabloid sites claimed a few months ago it was their daughter's death making her have enough of him. I don't know. Wait - are they getting their new from Radar? That is not a reliable site. Vulture seems to be getting more and more blatantly tabloid-ish.
  7. Is this like John Kelly and his eternal plans to leave, or is she actually going? I imagine being the face of most of the attacks against Trump would wear anyone down. Whoever works for him must be soulless but I do feel a bit for whichever woman takes her place in the lineup as I get the feeling a lot of people on the left get a special thrill out of going after the various women in his administration.
  8. Very sad for Gregg and Nene. My thoughts are with him.
  9. The Bachelor shows are just trash and clearly have no supervision. Jamie Foxx has been accused of (and denied) hitting a woman's face with his penis. http://www.nme.com/news/film/jamie-foxx-accused-of-sexual-misconduct-2338493
  10. Maybe they meant she was a former CBS actress.
  11. Thanks for finding that. I'd never seen it. You can see how green Dana and Christopher Wyatt are and then how they grow in confidence as the clips pass. How did Amy's story end? I'm trying to remember if that scene at the disco was shown in one of Dana's talk show appearances.
  12. Democrats won a special election in Wisconsin's senate, Mark "Appalachian trail" Sanford lost his Congressional primary to a woman who seems like the evil twin of Leslie Knope, but all I have to say is this man won Maine's GOP Senate primary. I'd forgotten how much fun the Harlem Shake videos were (well not his). Here's the Democrat who is running: https://www.pressherald.com/2018/06/11/democratic-u-s-senate-candidate-aspired-to-country-music-career/ Something tells me Angus King won't have to campaign this year.
  13. Probably quite a few, although if radio hadn't been dumped wholesale in the late '50s I wonder if the soaps would have kept an audience, as The Archers has in the UK.
  14. I wondered that about Tudi as well.
  15. I see that the boy who played Spencer on GH was on Twitter complaining about political speeches and Trump-bashing at the Tonys. I think de Niro is a grandstanding phony whose anti-vax support I can't forget, so I'm not going to cheer him for making easy potshots, but what the hell would you expect watching the Tonys? Did someone leave the TV on the wrong channel? I guess he or his family knows what gets retweets...
  16. Glad you enjoyed them. I had forgotten Dana Delaney dated Treat Williams (she doesn't look very happy there...). I wonder when Judge Lowell's last appearance was.
  17. Daytimers August 1981
  18. I didn't realize people hate Scott Clifton as well as Liam, but then I barely bother with B&B threads. I can see where his talk on Youtube might annoy people though.
  19. Radio Mirror February 1949
  20. Disgusting. A part of me wonders if this is the start of doing what Russia did and repealing domestic violence legislation. https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/sessions-rules-that-victims-of-domestic-abuse-are-not-eligible-for-asylum
  21. Lachlan wasn't interested in any more school - he just started a business with Victoria. Joe is mostly just there now to pine over Debbie, sadly, unless they decide to revive that awful 'feud' with Robert. Lachlan, Joe and Vanessa are and have always been plot devices. How one feels about them depends on how one feels about the actors or the scripts, I guess. I don't really have a problem with Vanessa, I certainly prefer the present stuff to when her sole purpose on the show was to have an affair with a 17-year old, as they reminded us of over and over and over again. Aaron still has the scrapyard (I wish they would get rid of it) but he has been lacking motivation for years, and the show doesn't really even bother now. I guess he will probably end up with another baby soon, if that helps. This is what Emmerdale has been for most of the last decade so I just either accept it or take a break. I hope it improves but I know it won't.
