  1. I'm not saying it isn't a big deal, per se - in an ideal world, it would be. But it will wash over him and I think it's come out too early to register much for voters. It's also timed to be washed over by a debate that the media has already all but handed to Trump. The timing of this leak - if this was coming out no matter what - is so convenient for him that it reminds me again of Maggie Haberman's ties to his administration and how much NYT needs him in office. This was "bad" news handled probably as well as possible for him to get reelected, and if he is, then this will all fade away immediately. Yes, the cultists like one of Trump's highest campaign people are already blaming Democrats and "RINOS" for Parscale being suicidal. Never mind that he was a grifter who was exposed. Or that these same people were gleefully kicking a corpse only yesterday with their "Notorious ACB" shirts. They are pond scum. I just wish someone besides us cared.
  2. Other than the Matt Taibbi types who are gleefully telling everyone this "proves" he has no ties to Russia, I'm not sure what impact the story has. Trump will deny, and many will believe him. Those who don't will say it just shows what a clever businessman he is. MSNBC or CNN will cluck cluck for a day or two before going back to the main goal of helping Trump win. I almost wonder if someone close to Trump leaked this as a distraction to benefit him and to help set the stage for the big debate performance the media will hype up to no end. I wish Biden would just avoid the whole thing, but sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. Oh well.
  3. Some audio of a missing episode.
  4. What does it say about this hatemonger if she was willing to go along with having her face all over merchandise that exists for no other reason than to insult a dead woman? No matter how long she is on the court, she deserves no respect. None. She and her backers have spat on a corpse for a few lols. If she truly believed in any God, she would be filled with shame. https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-group-accused-of-trolling-rgb-mourners-with-notorious-acb-t-shirts-2020-9
  5. It's coming out in a few days.
  6. Both sides, both sides, both sides, both sides. Gayle King and other out of touch elites will kill us all, with smiles on their faces, because it keeps them well paid. And sadly, many eat that up like nothing else. I can't think of a thing she or Chris Wallace have ever given to this country.
  7. Such an incredibly sad article for me to read through. I laughed at one point, as I would rather laugh than cry. I still remember how many Americans repaid other countries for their support after 9/11 - mocking and belittling them and bullying to try to get the globe into a strip mining and looting "liberation" that killed millions. I had never been so ashamed to be an American as I was then...until the last 4 years. If Trump is legitimately reelected, then the rest of the world should just leave us behind. We are left with what we deserve, which is nothing. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/25/world/asia/trump-united-states.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes
  8. New York Times causes pain and suffering yet again. Their peddling this story had dangerous consequences.
  9. Boys in the Band (1970 only...sorry, Matt Bomer, you're still in my heart...) forever...
  10. This is just nuts.
  11. In the what goes around comes around department, two reporters for the far right hate site Daily Caller have been detained by the Louisville PD. Now, suddenly, and briefly, freedom of the press matters.
  12. I don't believe that anymore, but at this point my opinion isn't the main thing to focus on anyway, so I will stop.
  13. Once Trump gets that extra vote on the Supreme Court, he can do whatever he wants. Florida is, at heart, a Republican state in the last decade, and those who run it fight any changes tooth and nail: Democrats need to redirect money elsewhere while they still can.
  14. @Juliajms there are so many Beltway figures and so many fauxgressives who are united in shaming those who worry about this coup. You can really tell how worried they are about their gravy train.
  15. Now that Nina Turner has managed to help kneecap a progressive movement that with a remotely capable campaign could be in the driver's seat of the Democratic Party right now, she is going back to the establishment that she and her fellow grifters claimed to so despise. Speaking of grifters:
  16. Given that the Pod Save America guys spent years seeing President Obama, his wife and children face a constant barrage of racist bile, I'm not sure how they are still this naive. None of these hatemongers are stunned into silence. They were like this before Trump and they will be after he's gone. If their fuhrer told them to get their guns and start picking out targets, they would - if their fat fingers could fit around the triggers, anyway.
  17. The main reason Donna hung on, I think, beyond Anna Stuart's many gifts, is because she never really "won." She was always being punished and suffering for anything she did wrong. The nadir was probably when she had sex with Jake after Michael harshly dumped her (for her own good, of course...) and they had the story of Stacey blackmailing her into giving up the son she had adopted, then her affair was exposed on the witness stand at Marley's trial for shooting Jake. We were, presumably, meant to sympathize with Michael and Stacey, but they were both such unbearable and sanctimonious assholes that it was just about impossible. So this meant that Donna could be haughty, or bitchy, but was never untouchable, and viewers could still care. Even to the end of the show, Donna continued suffering and paying, losing every man she loved, and being abused by an unhinged Marley. She was one of the few characters who got no real happy ending. Hutton was unconventionally handsome, charismatic, and also had some good comedy skills we got to see every once in a while. I never remember if it was his choice to leave or not, but he was a find. I thought Marcus Smythe (RIP) was also good in the role, but the writing was awful. Just as he became more interesting he left the show, never to return...and only rarely to be mentioned.
  18. Not much of a fan of Alan's, but if he managed to not beard for Roy Cohn and ask people what kind of tree they want to be, I'd put him above Baba.
  19. I think he may not as much after the last year, but before that, based on his comments over the years...but anyway, hopefully he doesn't now. Not that it really matters if Democrats don't win the Senate. I guess we'll see. I can't let myself think about that after 2016.
