  1. Not too late to start that Presidential campaign.
  2. That article reminds me of a weird propaganda type piece I saw on Politico earlier today about the "national spirit" of COVID which proves the UK is no longer following America's path on polarization and brokenness. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/04/11/coronavirus-uk-us-brexit-trump-177924 They only fleetingly mention the main reason the same polarization is not as evident (their system of government), and instead just mention buzzwords about the Queen's speech and people wishing Boris Johnson well. Scant mention of the mounting death tolls and the lack of testing and PPE, or the number of people who were deeply concerned by the half-truths and evasions from the government about Johnson's health, or that Johnson was so focused on painting the image of a wartime heroic leader that he nearly died. The media over there are just in love with Johnson in a way even our press will never be with Trump.
  3. I haven't watched much of this period but I remember reading Eddie Drueding's relationship summaries (I love that he took the time to do those) and the whole idea of these wild sexual encounters always seemed forced to me. It doesn't help that Jensen Buchanan generally was not a very sexual actress.
  4. I don't think Barbara was in a position as a character by the time of that pairing for the relationship to be beneath her. I thought it was a fun, harmless story that allowed Barbara to be written as a somewhat multi-layered character for the first time in 10-15 years. The early story was all that silliness about psychic flashbacks, which might have been fun to play, I don't know. So much of the rest of the pairing seems to amount to Barbara being a victim.
  5. Rihanna has consistently put out money, vital money, throughout this ordeal. It's one of the reasons I find the "celebrity culture is dying hyuk hyuk" smugfests tiresome. As for the celebrities fleeing to smaller states, I wouldn't be as bothered if they actually did anything for the areas they're hiding out in. They rarely, if ever, bother. Timberlake can't even treat his own wife with respect, let alone anyone else.
  6. I agree. The revolving door of the people who played her parents and brother. The rushed pairing with Rick. Memories of working with Richard Biggs. I always thought she was underrated as Mel and never had much of a chance. Thanks. I knew I forgot someone.
  7. Marley and Dennis.
  8. I really love the style and layout of that promo - I'm not sure anything about AW was "sizzling" at this time, but they sure sell it, and use one of their best assets in Cecile.
  9. I think the first was Jennifer Brooks on Y&R.
  10. Victor moved back when he and Nikki got back together in 1998.
  11. Didn't Victor and Nikki fight over it in the divorce but Victor finally agreed to let her have it.
  12. Years ago I think Kim had unhappier memories of her time at SB. I wonder if the last decades of GL shifted her opinion somewhat.
  13. I apologize in that you probably feel like you're being asked to speak for your government - it's more that I don't really trust reporting (it doesn't help that some of the reporting is from sites like Vice that have a toxic background). I'm sure Sweden is doing what they can...more than what's happened in the US. The only thing that has helped the US, somewhat, is that states have had some of their own leeway. Trump would have happily sent most of us to our deaths.
  14. There's been some talk here about Sweden, which has been a topic of debate on how to handle COVID-19. There is some back and forth in these tweets.
  15. Poor Trent. I do like him - not really interested in seeing Terri Conn though, ever again. I'm glad to hear that about Scott and Andy. They were so believable as friends.
  16. Thanks @Sean I never even knew Lee Godart was on RH.
  17. Geez louise people will be freaking out about that RuPaul live watch, I can tell you.
  18. Kathleen was already an established film actress by this time, I think. I sort of wondered at the time if that story may have been a plan to eventually pair up Josh and Cassie - Rauch/B&E tested those waters repeatedly before finally doing it with Olivia.
  19. Thanks. I wonder how much the longtime writers even have their hearts in it with the sad state of the show.
  20. Johnson is such a colonialist he probably sees non-white doctors as existing to treat him... You can say Kamala ran a flawed campaign, as many did, but the brutal way she was treated by so many on the right and the left was clearly not about her campaign. I think if she wants to be VP she'd be a very good one, but I'm not sure why she'd even want to put herself through all that at this point.
  21. B&E. It was amusing camp, and at least brought the town together, but the whole thing was so ludicrous. It's amazing that Holly managed to remain intact as a character. I guess it helped that we at least got some type of followup with her breakdown and recovery.
  22. Another example of what happens when someone who wants to bring about the end of the world is given so much power. They are absolutely desperate to kill people in order to scrape together a few bucks. I imagine the evidence showing how many black people have been dying have made them even more eager. And from some of the replies to the tweet it looks like the government is also shutting down testing soon.
  23. Thanks, @dc11786 . I had no idea the chauffeur lasted that long. I can see why viewers might have enjoyed him though. I think Marland had been gone about a year before that story began.
  24. And just a few days ago she was going on about "our party." Other than Hillary's 2008 campaign I struggle to name a major Presidential campaign as badly run as Bernie 2020. Scott Walker, maybe. Bernie hired so many grifters and so many people who profit more from him losing than from him winning. And we see the result. A landslide loss, and many, many Bernie voters who will now move away from politics entirely.
